Must have app for Spanish!!!

SpanishTranslator is amazing in multiple different ways. It comes with a great dictionary I can add pictures with words to. I'm also able to take notes for each word and record me saying them and then listen to SpanishTranslator voice say it so that I could compare myself to perfect spanish. There is a translator in the new version that rocks. Better than google because it gives more complete info for single words, lots of usage examples too. I can star my favorites and then they show up with dictionary words. Verb conjugation, perfect for high school Spanish class. I wish they would add Imperative but hey, this has all the basic tenses, so important to learn Spanish. Also a vocabulary quiz and new flashcards with this update. Learned a trick from support, you can limit flashcards to dictionary favorites by tapping on the settings icon on the flashcards screen. Would be good to have that for vocab quiz too. Now I can speak really well in Spanish and getting A in class. Can’t wait to visit Barcelona and try my new skills! 👻 The new photo and voice translation options in this version are stupendous!

I’m a linguist, and this is my review.

SpanishTranslator is amazing. I’ve had this apps in my phone for more than 4 years. I say app because I have the Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese and French one. Up to today, I still use them. Unfortunately some of the tenses are missing in the free version, but I guess they can’t give it all for free. The verb conjugation feature is the one I admire the most. The dictionary is one of the biggest ones there is (for free) lots of words, and definitions. I truly recommend SpanishTranslator. And maybe not just SpanishTranslator but most of the apps that they have.

Suggestion for developers: it would be amazing to have the glossary of all the tenses explained and their use. I believe that will bring tremendous amount of linguistically value. Having a student go to your app to find out what is the Spanish present indicative is, it’s use, and a few examples. I signed up to the paid versions in the French one a few years ago but I don’t think I saw it. Not sure if you have it on all or a few of the apps now. But if you don’t, it would be great to have.

Thank you for the great app.

Good translations, verb conjugations 🇪🇸

Downloaded a bunch of free apps for learning Spanish. This is one of the keepers. Translations seem just as accurate is google, bing, maybe better. Also really like the verb conjugations because so many words you see in Spanish are some form or a verb. SpanishTranslator has every verb under the sun fully conjugated if you upgrade or like half of the major tenses with the free version. Ads with free versions are somewhat annoying but I guess these app companies have to make a living too. One thing about the translator is to make sure you are going in the right direction, Spanish to English, or English to Spanish. If you get it wrong just tap on the flags to reverse the direction. Other than that, good app, would definitely recommend it to students or travelers or anybody that loves Spanish.

Best Spanish Translator ✈️

There are a lot of translators out there, Google and bing being the principle choices but this is the only one I have found that is specific to Spanish. That’s better for me because the translations seem of a better quality and there are additional features specific for Spanish learners. One of the most useful is the voice translator becUse I can use it to test my pronunciation. If I speak in a Spanish phrase and the voice translator transcribes it correctly I know my translation if accurate, else I tap on the phrase to hear it pronounced and try again. The photo translator is good for reading menus in a French restaurant. The phrase book could use a few more categories but being able to add phrases makes up for it. Should be on SpanishTranslator list of students.

Spanish for family

I use Spanish Translator to have better relations with my extended family across the southern border. They actually suggested it to me because it’s popular in Mexico for hispanics learning English. The translator is super quick because I can speak sentences in to SpanishTranslator and get the translation back immediately so I can even use it on phone calls if I get stuck. Lots of other great features in one app like verbs, phrase book, flash cards. The premium features are reasonably priced, a few bucks a year for better family relations. Easy. When I switched phones I didn’t know how to reactivate the subscription but tech support was super fast. Just have to tap restore button. Great app and fast support so I’m satisfied.

Spanish all the way

I installed several apps before trying this one. A translator, a dictionary and a verb conjugator. Then I installed SpanishTranslator and it does all the above well enough that I stoped using the others. It’s also perfectly complimentary for apps like Babbel which are lesson based but don’t have reference tools like Vidalingua. The translator works offline and includes voice and photo translation so it’s get all the bells and whistles that you would expect. But the Spanish specific features like the phrase book and vocabulary testers make it shine. So I recommend getting SpanishTranslator instead of a bunch of others that you need to switch between.

Overall Great App

User interface is very easy to use and I was quickly able to translate. I just updated to the newest version and the ability to translate text from a photo is absolutely phenomenal. Another awesome feature is the voice translation which has been so useful. I have not had any issues with not being able to translate something. This is a must have for traveling to a Spanish speaking country, learning Spanish or speaking with a Spanish-speaking person. I have been learning Spanish for a year and a half and I have used SpanishTranslator more than frequently to assist me. 10/10 would recommend!

How many times do I have to pay!

I have paid for a subscription and the subscription clearly shows up on my list of Apple subscriptions. Nevertheless I am denied the subscription features and am repeatedly asked to pay again. In fact I did pay again on another device, but still it has not helped me. None of my many other apps keep asking me to pay repeatedly! This is not right. Apple should ask them to fix this!!

When I press the restore Purchases button my phone goes into an infinite loop which disables even the basic app. It even effects others apps so I have to switch my phone off and start all over again. This has happened repeatedly and on different devices. Can you please do something about this on your end. Surely others have the same problem. You make me jump through hoops just to get what I have already paid for TWICE!

Spanish Translator extraordinario 😍

Update - I’ve been a big fan of SpanishTranslator and this version takes it over the top. The devs added a voice translator so you can speak and translate in real-time, and a photo translator so you can take a picture of some text like a sign and translate that too.

This version makes it easier to copy and share translations which I wrote as an improvement suggestion a while back.

Fun app for learning Spanish. This is one of my favorites and a good complement to lesson based apps. Super useful to translate phrases and lookup words, check noun genders of verb conjugations.

I got it for a trip to Costarica and it was useful enough to get the premium version. Can’t wait till my next trip and using vocab quiz and flash cards to improve while waiting.

Phrase book is also a good way to practice for a trip. Specially useful to add your own phrases from the translator or manually.

Keep this in your toolbox for better trip. I recommend it to all my friends.

My favorite Spanish dictionary

I had been using the free version for quite a while and had become quite reliant on it for quick single word referencing. Realizing that there was an extended verb conjugation guide with the paid subscription I decided to spring for it. Unfortunately, a bug completely crashed SpanishTranslator for me once I subscribed. The dev did rectify the problem but in the meantime I had to substitute other apps. Nothing laid the dictionary info out as clearly as this, I’m so glad it’s up and running again. Si tú estás estudiando el español necesitas otros apps tambien pero éste is el mejor.

Good stuff!

I have been using SpanishTranslator for years! Absolutely no other app like it. It is so thorough and easy to use with sooo much knowledge!
AND the CEO is extremely responsive and open to changes about SpanishTranslator . We had to have a couple communications because of some confusions I ran into completely on my own mistakes!
Wonderful people running a wonderful app :) ❤️

Very useful

I have learned so much. After using Duolingo Spanish for one year, I tested out of four semesters in the local university’s placement exam. You should note, however, that the exam was entirely reading and writing, which Duolingo prepares one well for.
There is, however, no substitute for speaking to a real person and I advise users to find someone to speak with regularly. My speaking ability was not nearly as advanced and I am trying to rectify that now. That is why 4 stars instead of 5.

Very handy

This is a very useful app, not only for the occasional use of travelers but also for serious students of the language. Such useful features like the ability to fully conjugate a verb with one touch make it a must for those seeking to master a language.

Fantastic app especially for medical providers

I use SpanishTranslator almost everyday to communicate (un-officially) with patients and families. The best feature is the verb conjugation feature allowing users to learn advanced Spanish.

By

Very Helpful

I love the ability to keep track of words that you have looked up. I like to keep a list of the Spanish words that I have learned.

Excellent learning tool

SpanishTranslator is easy to use and very helpful. The addition of verb conjugation is a nice feature. My only complaint is that the English tends to be British rather than American. When taking to quiz, I sometimes don't know what the English word means!

By

Essential Tools

I use the VidaLingua dictionaries for both Spanish and French every day. They have been essential tools to help me improve my ability to speak these languages.

Great app for Spanish/English translation

It's great for looking up words I have forgotten or didn't know. It is also useful for finding just the right word or phrase when writing or translating.

Learning Spanish

This is a great app when learning Spanish. The words I don’t know and have to look up are saved for review. The conjugations are easily accessed during a lesson. The translator is also very good.
Lo uso todos los días.

Learning second language

SpanishTranslator is very useful and has been a go to for traveling to other countries. Has a nice setup and is easy to use.

By

Excellent tool for learning a language

SpanishTranslator is much more than just a dictionary. The phrase book portion is exceptional and it’s truly a valuable and educational resource. Easy to use and intuitive. Unlike some other apps aimed at helping you learn a second language, there are no klugey quirks or workarounds. It syncs effortlessly with your other devices and the upgraded version is worth far more than $9.95. Yeah you can stick with the free version, but if you are serious, fork over a little more. Pretty useful overall

I really like the ability to search common conversational phrases in other languages as it makes it easier than search through the dictionary tab. The dictionary is pretty overwhelming in my opinion trying to scroll through but once you get past that, you will find it has quite an assortment of words with translations.

Additionally it does have a translation feature but with many automated translations, it has some inconsistencies. Overall, it's a very useful app, good for use when in foreign countries when you need to know how to Hail a Cab in Spanish. -Tim

A delight!

Great app! I learned spanish in high school and then traveled in South America for a few months. Since then, though, I haven't had too many chances to practice. One of my favorite parts of learning spanish was mastering all the verb condugations (I know, I'm weird :), so I especially appriciate the verb tab. The dictionary and translator functions are also super helpful. I love using SpanishTranslator by myself to practice and while out and about to look up the things I need on the go. Thanks!

Sweet Spanish Translator 😻

Lots to like in SpanishTranslator. The translator is quick and gives good results. One big difference with other translators is that single word lookups brings up dictionary entries with translations, gender and lots of examples. You need an internet connection but the history is available offline.
You can access the dictionary independently and star words to make study lists and practice vocab. The dico has verb forms so you don’t end.
Sweet app for weekend trips to Tiajana.

Best Spanish Translation

I started studying Spanish a couple of years ago and looked at many apps - this one is by leaps and bounds the best and I use it all the time. I find the translation quite accurate, which is not true of others including Google. I had a problem with reinstating my paid subscription after my battery was replaced and the company diligently followed up and took care of it - amazing to get such excellent service!

Best Spanish Translator

I have tried a few translators. This one is specific to Spanish unlike the others that are all languages. If you just need a word or expression you get several translations and loads of examples. There is good phrase book and lots of verb conjugations. I also spend a lot of time with the vocabulary quizzes and flash cards. You can search using voice which is a good way to practice your pronunciation. Recommended!

My most used app since I started using iPhone in 2010.

SpanishTranslator helped me through Spanish 1, 2, and 3 in high school, helped me catch up with my dad who learned Spanish through immersion at work, and now still helps me in conversation, and every time I can’t think of how to say a word or conjugation. Best translator app ever. Other than the apps already on my phone, SpanishTranslator is my most used app since I started using iPhone in 2010.

Comprehensive and very useful

I’ve tried a few other Spanish-English apps but this one is by far the most helpful of the bunch. It doesn’t just provide simple translations but also allows one to view the entire conjugation of verbs and also provides examples of alternate uses of words. This has been a good app to have.

Highly Helpful

After so many years in the U.S. I continue mastering English and getting more and more too familiar with the meaning of words in English, though at the same I am forgetting the equivalent words in Spanish. That is when this English to Spanish Translator becomes the perfect helper. I am so grateful to have it among my favorite Apps.

This app is very useful!

I’ve been in Uruguay for over a week and app has been an invaluable tool to be able to communicate. My Spanish is limited but thanks to SpanishTranslator I’m able to be successful in translating all my questions and needs! I highly recommend it! I’m grateful!

Bait and switch

After paying a fair price for SpanishTranslator, i was quite satisfied. Recently an update arrived with many as-yet-untested features but with one major shock-suddenly my dictionary search is interrupted with an irritating ad for a video game. Since I’m using apps to supplement my studies, I will leave this one to languish in the cloud and find one less irritating.

By

Useful but not perfect

The dictionary has many useful words and phrases although mostly seems to use British English. Some obvious words meanings or words do not appear. Fortunately, SpanishTranslator allows you to make suggestions for individual words if you spot something missing. Also useful are the options to conjugate verbs, and translate phrases.

By

Wow!

SpanishTranslator is truly amazing. I don't think it could be any more easy to use. It has so many great and helpful features when it comes to learning and translating a language. I think that it'll be very useful to many language learners other than myself!

Extremely useful dictionary and verb conjugation tool

Gentlemen,

I find your Spanish App very useful. It presents a quick and concise definitions for Spanish words. It is the quick access to the information that puts your app above other similar apps.

I have a few suggestions:

Irregular conjugations should be highlighted by using a contrasting color to identify them.

Include gerunds and participles somewhere in the verb conjugation.

Consider adding a tool to show the verbs used in sentences

I wish you success and give my thanks for your excellent app.

Dennis
