aContacts - Contact Manager Reviews

Three years ago my review was a 1 star. They were not responsive at that time where as in the past week I have been amazed at their acceptance of a glitch and their quick response and new version release within days.

My business relies on Google contacts. I have 10,000+ contacts and over 300 google tags. If those matter to you then aContacts is only one of two in aContacts Store that will meet you phone based managment needs.

aContacts used to work good, hence 3 starts instead of one or two. Not sure why all of a sudden when someone is under "unfolded" group I click on it to sort it to another group and at first it just wouldn't let me alter the group and now anytime I try it crashes as soon as I click on groups. Please fix. I do love the merging contacts to get rid of duplicates and stuff like that, and that I can back it up in aContacts first.

aContacts is awful I noticed that it duplicated one contact 203 times and all of my phone numbers are attached to this one contact. I am having to manually go and delete this contact one at a time and it’s a nightmare. I deleted aContacts and reinstalled it and I upgraded and purchased the premiere app. This is awful and my contacts are all merged into this one contact. Not a good app at all! I am going to contact apple to get a refund and I would not buy aContacts it’s a waste I need a refund this is the worst app. My text messages freeze up and I have so many duplicate accounts it ridiculous

I wanted a separate app for a separate list of contacts. I do not want to sync my own 500+ contacts but aContacts will not let me continue without syncing. We should have the option to turn off syncing with our contacts. Sorry, have to delete and find another App.

If you are looking to manage communication between various groups. That’s the solution! Easy to use. Highly functional.

aContacts used to allow me to send a group text that didn’t show all the contacts. What happened? My “group” button in settings is disabled. I send a text to 104 ppl. They don’t want to get each other’s responses.

The picture in aContacts description shows the ability to sync with linked In, but after getting aContacts it only allows google and yahoo.

This is a good app. It allows you to do things with contacts that I have not found a way to. You can move contacts in and out of groups and you can make and delete groups. The two reason I bought aContacts . It is a bit clumsy. There is a lot of room for improvement in the way you get things done. Like when you select delete a contact, why it does not disappear. Good for basic management of the contact app.

I just updated my IOS iPhone and all contacts from groups are gone. How can I fix that?

I was hopeful, when I downloaded aContacts . However, I haven't been able to find how to order contacts by last name, it is slow to delete contacts, it doesn't recognize all duplicate contacts by name, and, amazingly, doesn't accurately order contacts alphabetically. Also, as noted in a previous review, it gives an error message when trying to sync to Google contacts. To its credit, creating and editing groups is very easy. I haven't tried to email or message groups yet, because I'm still slogging through the duplicate mess. I haven't found any other contact app that works well. This one certainly doesn't, but there must be one out there.

Love aContacts . Super easy this replaced my default phone book. 1 small problem. When going through "groups" I find the name, click it, then click the phone number but it does not call. I can go into edit and click the number and it will call. If I restart my phone this call feature will start working again

I purchased aContacts about eight weeks ago and sent a request for the exact change they made today... I am sure that others must have asked for the same feature. It is good to know they were listening to their customers.
At the time I said how much I liked they app had tried many others and do find this to be top notch!

Everything about aContacts is awesome, EXCEPT for one thing. I have to keep my iPad straight up and down, because aContacts does not flip when turning your iPad side to side. So, people like me that have a case with a keyboard, you have to take your iPad completely out and have it right side up instead of sideways. If I would have know this before I purchased it, I would not have bought aContacts.. PLEASE FIX THIS, SO EVERYONE CAN USE THIS PROPERLY AND THEY DON'T HAVE TO KEEP TAKING THEIR IPAD OUT JUST FOR THIS ONE APP. IF IT WOULD FLIP PROPERLY, I WOULD GIVE aContacts 5 STARS, BECAUSE IT DOES HAVE EVERYTHING I AM LOOKING FOR IN AN APP.

This seems to work better than the standard app that comes on the iPhone. I was having trouble with syncing that seems to be addressed by aContacts.

I've been looking for a simple contact app that will allow me to create groups on my iPhone/iPad. this app does this, but with some glitches; when adding a contact to a group it sometimes takes a few minutes before the contact actually appears in that group. Syncing between devices takes even longer.

When I add info to a contact, that new info does not appear for a long time, or, unless I relaunch aContacts . It does however appear immediately in the native Contacts app. Why the glitch within this app?

On the iPad it will not change to landscape view when I rotate my device.

Frequent crashes.

Until these are fixed I suggest looking into another app.

Downloaded and could not get it to import contacts. Looked at it the next day and they were imported. Really, really slow to find contact when typing in the name. I could not add anyone to the group I created, no matter how I tried. I may keep it a while, to see if you improve it, but cannot recommend it currently.

The ap is ok but very basic. You should be able to type the first letter of a contact and bring up that contact but it doesn't work. You have to scroll through all of your contacts to find the right one. I was going to download the paid version but I don't see any difference.

I searched and tried syncing contacts to google and nothing worked, then I found this tool and it worked awesome!!

This looks like a great app, but I seem to be stuck in the Group editing area with no way out. I tried to contact aContacts support button, but it just takes me to my Facebook page. Does anyone know how to get out of this.
