BitGym: Treadmill Cycling Erg Reviews

Where would you go if every day you could go anywhere in the world? Sydney to check out the Opera House? Paris to walk under the Eiffel Tower? Or maybe a hike through the Canadian Rockies? this app will take you there and without the travel expenses, annoying airline passengers, and overpriced restaurant meals.

Every day I decide where I’ll be magically transported to. I take a smooth, well planned tour, learning interesting facts about the place I’m visiting. All while getting a great workout! And I’m back in time to feed the dog.

BitGyms’s immersive, sound-rich tours have become my daily escape. I am so glad I downloaded BitGym!

Up-dated my iPad Air 2 today and now nothing is working, opening page appears overly large and all I can see is the globe. Please help, I need this to work

I’m good, all fixed, I uninstalled BitGym then reinstalled it and all is well. I was so upset when the programs were not working as I use this every day on my bike, treadmill or elliptical. this app is the best app that I’ve found and would be lost without it. I’d give this app 10 stars if I could.

I usually do not do reviews but I am frustrated with BitGym that I wanted to provide some comments. First and foremost, BitGym itself is a wonderful idea and it is also quite immersive but it has technical glitches. Most importantly, the tracking progress in BitGym does not work and the user is required to go back to the last completed segment and cannot resume where the person finished the workout. This is very frustrating. Also I do not see where the user can contact technical support to address particular issues like the above.

I feel super fortunate to have found this app many years ago. It has certainly made my indoor cycling experience an immersive experience. I love being able to explore places I’ve never been and likely will not have the opportunity to visit in person. The videography is gorgeous and I appreciate the additional history some of the modules provide. this app does the job in a solid way for me, thank you this app!

I love BitGym so much. There are so many tours and I feel like I am exploring the world. I have a rower and I use it for water, hikes and bikes. It is so versatile and the time flies by while you are getting fit. BitGym is stable and you can download tours if your data connection is not stable. Do not hesitate to jump on BitGym and get fit with the this app team.

While the limited free tours are great, it is absolutely worth it to get full access! I workout almost every day and have never had to repeat a tour, although there are some that I have revisited because I enjoyed them so much. Awesome way to see the world from the comfort of your home.

This used to be a great app, but after the last update, motion tracking constantly freezes and shows no motion detected.
Nothing on my side has changed and this was fine before the update.
For the developers: I have tried adjusting the lighting in the room and using contrasting clothing colors from my background (light on dark and dark on light) to improve contrast. I have even cleaned the camera lens.

I have been using this application for over than 1.5 years. Especially it helped me during long COVID-19 lockdowns. I have my elliptical machine and use BitGym almost every day. It is great but I wish to have the following improvements:

1. Add to every volumes the signs: “GO”, “FINISH”, counts 1, 2, 3 and accompany all new challenges with images as you have in the ecliptic volume 1 and some others.

2. Give some speed instructions by number of elliptic movement but not in the levels because some people might have a very simple elliptic machine, without any software.

Great if you could do it and I want to continue using BitGym in the future.

I have been using BitGym for over a year and it has been one of the best interactive fitness applications. The videos are just the bomb. I highly recommend this product to anyone that is an avid fitness enthusiast that wants to enjoy the view while the workout indoors.

What is not to love? I can travel, run, row around the world. I can choose a guided tour, coached run or just be on my own with my music to motivate me. Pairs with my polar HR monitor. I’ve had my membership for years and BitGym does not disappoint!

The cardio interval training sessions absolutely rock! I wish they would add NEW cardio coaching sessions. I guess Shawn passed away 5 or so years ago but can’t they find a new person?

The updated app initiates more slowly and otherwise barely noticeable changes. I haven’t checked out the new website but anything would be better than what they had.

I love BitGym— the videos are so beautiful I want to work out longer! I also enjoy the informational banners. Truly wonderful to bike in New Zealand, row in Oahu, travel on Crete and Santorini.
The sound tracks are great too.

I was a huge advocate. The latest update has messed with IOS speed tracking with my iPhone. Very disturbing to have your eyes thinking you are going one speed … then doubling speed. …then a quarter speed when you have not changed your pace.

I use BitGym, every day, While I ride my in door bike, different sceneries and I just love it, so peaceful and you can get a coach to, and visit different places, does your cardio to, best app, I have ever had,

I originally rated BitGym 4 stars, but raised it to 5 stars. I have never exercised on a regular basis, but now I love riding my stationary bike in places all over the world, right from my own house. AND I‘be lost 52 pounds!

this app makes working out so much fun. I love traveling different places and I love all the pieces of information that come up on the screen. It’s absolutely the best gym app ever!

Have used for a year or so. Love that they are constantly adding new tours. Now that they have BitGym TV app I no longer have any issues with streaming. Love this app!

The Columbia Coast hike does not have sound. A few suggestions: I would like a favorite button to mark the hikes I love. I would to see more hikes with Johnny. Love BitGym , great hikes!

Amazing to run in différents places everytime! I even forgot that I’m working out :)

this app is awesome. Easy to setup, easy to use, syncs data with Apple Health, and works with all exercise equipment. Those four things are not true for iFit Wi-Fi module.
this app (i'm using free account thus far) remembers your progress on the circuit. So although I'm only getting a quick ten minute run each morning I'm still getting through entire circuits (tours). HD video can stream or be downloaded for offline use. I use AirPlay to display to TV on wall in front of the treadmill. Looks great. Smooth HD video in this app is extremely superior to choppy Google Street View used by iFit.
this app estimates calories based on my personal stats (age, gender, weight, height) and steps per minute (how fast I was running).
this app gives a lot of value for free, but you are limited to 10 minute at a time. You can do multiples per day (one after the other) and they all sync to Apple Health, so not a show stopper.
Downloading the HD video for offline use seems to take a long time but that depends on the tour size (these files can bee in the GB range). The one download lasts me several days of ten minute runs, and is better quality then streaming the video on my network.

The coached tours on the bike and cardio really make a difference, would love if you can add more
