Love this app! Best allergy website or app I have found!

I have used ZYRTEC for many years, I highly recommend it! Becaus of ZYRTEC I was able to figure out I’m always sickest when juniper is listed and molds. I was able to tell my allergist who tested for those and more, and it did turn out I was in fact most allergic to those. As we moved, I’ve been allergic to different things and it’s helped me narrow down what causes the most reaction or when I’m on vacation sometimes I will start feeling sick, not sure if I’m coming down with something, often I’ll check ZYRTEC and find that where I’m at is high in mold or juniper. It’s fun to learn how easily my body detects certain allergens and also more easily help figure out whether I may just be coming down with a cold. I also like the forecast part of it, and have found that to be reliable too. I love ZYRTEC!

Good Experience

I am a newbie but I am having a good experience so far. I really like the fact that I can take a look at what is high in our area. I am also doing the logging in so that I can determine what I’m most allergic to based on the information that ZYRTEC will provide me. I’m very excited about this. I will continue to use ZYRTEC . Unfortunately I’m not a daily user but who knows. I will update my review in a couple of months to see where I stand since most of the concerns seem to be after you’ve been using ZYRTEC a few months.

Great MOST OF THE TIME

ZYRTEC does a great job at forecasting my symptoms and telling me the top allergens in the area. However, there are days that ZYRTEC doesn’t work at all. Today is one of those days, it’s very frustrating. It says the pollen count is NaN/12 and that my symptom forecast is at the very bottom of the scale when I’ve been having the worst allergies of my life. It won’t even let me log symptoms. I deleted ZYRTEC , logged in and out, redownloaded it, everything. And it’s still this way. I’d love to know if everyone is having this issue or if it’s just mine. Hopefully they fix it soon so I can get back to being in the know about my allergies.

Love it ... but

I love ZYRTEC .. I download it every allergy season I help me mange and predicted how bad my allergies will be for day and the week.
My only draw back is there is no way to back log. So at 12:01am Sunday morning whe I’m heading to bed I like to log how bad I felt on Saturday (which ended a 2 mins ago) and I can’t because technically it’s Sunday now. So I miss an entire day Of logging because of a minor technicality. And if I make the mistake of logging it not paying attention to the time it throws my predictions off.

This app is almost as annoying as my allergies

I have had ZYRTEC installed for years, but I never recall having an issue with signing in. Now there is no place in ZYRTEC to sign in, only create an account. When I try to create a new account it says to sign in with my existing account info. Problem is, there’s no place to log in, only create a new account. Dumb. Also no place to retrieve existing login info, like forgotten password. But of course that’s not since there’s no place to login. I’m sure I can find the same allergy info I can get with ZYRTEC from another source I already have on my phone. I don’t see the point of keeping ZYRTEC installed when I can only access a limited amount of features.

Allergen information is helpful, BUT symptom tracking is terrible

The allergy predictions is helpful. That’s why I added ZYRTEC .

However, the symptom tracking is silly. I have year round allergies, and my most common symptoms aren’t listed as options.

This makes the fact that I’m asked to log my symptoms stupid, since I have to lie about my symptoms if I can’t any type of prediction data for my allergies. 🙄

I never have watery eyes or a runny nose, rather my eyes and nasal passages dry up, and my throat is dry.

I get an asthmatic cough induced by allergies, and that’s not an option.

My ears are sometimes more congested, (and swell), and they ITCH, and that’s not an option.

I get sinus headaches when my allergies are bad. Not an option to log.

My eyes swell and dry up when my allergies are bad. That’s also not an option.

Sometimes my skin is itch when there’s too much pollen in the air too.

So unless you’re going to add more symptoms into ZYRTEC , I agree with others-the symptom tracking is annoying and not helpful.

Quite helpful

I didn’t expect much, but I’ve actually found ZYRTEC pretty useful. When I realized that it was often on track with my more severe allergy days, I started using the predictions- when it shows that the next day is likely at severe high levels, I go ahead and take extra allergy medicine at night. This is helping me wake up with less symptoms and I don’t have to wait until the next day to ‘go into battle’- I’ve already started preparing.

Helpful on tracking

I use this to track the pollen count and my symptoms for allergies. I like it. I only keep it downloaded during allergy season. It’s helpful. It doesn’t show all the different pollen counts which would be more helpful. It just give a few kinds of trees. I would like an individual count for all the kinds of trees, grasses, and mold that I’m allergic to so I can see what is causing the most severe symptoms. Thanks for ZYRTEC !

Now requires an account

This used to be a great app that you could quickly and easily check the air quality in your area much like you check a weather or traffic app. Unfortunately, it now requires its users to set up an account which I'm sure is just a way to send a stream of spam emails (as if I need more of those). Its one thing to require an account for those who want personalized info, but it shouldn't be a requirement for those of us who don't. Deleting app and going to other sources.

By

Never mind

By now insisting that we HAVE to have an account, so you can track our symptoms or whatever, you’ve pushed it too far. I want to know what allergens are present in my area, not to have yet another Big Brother tracking my ever sneeze. Deleted.

Just got a reply from the developers saying, “By creating an account we can improve the accuracy of your allergy predictions for more detailed recommendations.”
What a bunch of BS. There is no more reason to create an individual account with contact information and a password for an allergen report than there is for a weather report. Forget it.

Great start!

I enjoy using it. However, I would like it to go further. Molds & mildews; air pressure changes, etc.

By

Really like it but please add Mold Count!!

I always see the mold count from the previous day in the newspaper- but I really wish it was available on ZYRTEC so I could easily access it!
Otherwise i love the pollen indicators … like today wondering why my allergies are so bad and ZYRTEC says ragweed is High!

Much needed update

It’s nice that I’m not forced to create an account to use ZYRTEC because I like ZYRTEC. It definitely helps me manage my allergies better than I do on my own. Reminders are great and so far it seems pretty accurate to how I’m feeling !

By

Great ap

If you take less than a minute each day and track your symptoms so that it gets to know what your issues are this is a great app. I mean for a quick and easy app it’s pretty darn accurate. I highly recommend it.

By

Glitchy

App worked great at first but now one week in I’m experiencing glitches. I can’t move past the screen where you log your medicine taken that day. I’ve tried selecting every option but keep receiving a prompt that I have to select an answer. Without the ability to complete the daily log ZYRTEC isn’t much use. Too bad!

What happened?

ZYRTEC used to be very reliable, now it won’t even open. In the last couple of months, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled twice. I don’t know know why it needed updated to begin with, it worked fine. Now it doesn’t.

So far so good

So far ZYRTEC has been a very good source of information. My pollen allergies are really bad in the spring. This has helped me keep track and I love that it reminds me to report symptoms.

By

Super Helpful App!

A must have app for people with allergies. This update was definitely needed - works amazingly well now and looks great. Super helpful in tracking the pollen count and managing my own allergies.

By

Helpful information

I really like ZYRTEC but I wonder why it never asks about headaches which accompany my allergies until I sneeze them away.

Helpful

Helps me track my allergies. Would definitely recommend

No notifications!

This used to be a great app till several months ago when location settings stopped working. Also notifications stopped coming in although I had everything set properly. So I deleted and re-installed a few times. Still didn't work. I installed it again last week, and so far Location is working, wish I could say the same for notifications. STILL NOT getting them! Please please please fix this so notifications will work! There's much to love about ZYRTEC if the location settings and notifications would work.

Good concept; terrible execution

First, the latest release of this product has completely broken it. There is no data feed, only a “null” where the allergy index is supposed to show up. This is the one thing that this is supposed to be able to provide. Please hire some QA!

Second, in the 2 years I’ve had ZYRTEC as a reference I have never been able to learn anything about my allergies. They have a tracking mechanism but I won’t look at a set of data points in a week or a month. And it won’t track data by location If you miss a single day or hop on a plane all your data is wiped. So many apps out here no how to do this - this Dev team should just go copy one of them and get it right.

By

App is way off

It tells you, you should feel less symptoms and its way way off! I can barely breathe today if I try to move around! Its 50 mph wind so the pollen is awful probably one of the worst days ever for allergies and its all you may feel less sneezes today!!! Don’t bother it’s confusing and is never even been close with allergy impacts!

Best app of its kind, 1 small addition

I’m not sure why ZYRTEC has such a low rating. It’s provides me with a pollen count and pollen type, weather forecast, and a symptom tracker diary that can be exported. And it’s free. That’s everything I need!
2 suggestions
Add a “took medication” option to symptom tracker. It’s just helpful for me to know how often I’m managing my symptoms.
Have it link to apples health app. I’m already going there for other health data, it would be nice to have all the recorded symptom data all in 1 place.

Data migration fails

Every time I open ZYRTEC it says migrating data. And then after several minutes I get a message (repeated messages, actually) that says data migration failed because the server is down. Every. Time. It's frustrating, because it blocks the screen while it says it's migrating my data, And then it fails anyway. What's going on? Where and why is it trying to migrate my data? And why is it failing every single time? I'm not sure how accurate the numbers are either. They conflict with reports from local agencies. I'm questioning the usefulness of ZYRTEC anymore.

Stopped working

I used to refer to ZYRTEC quite often. I’m not certain how accurate it is but at least it would allow me a relative idea day in and day out about pollen counts and which types were predominant in my area. Notice I’m using past tense. For some reason it no longer works on my phone. I have updated ZYRTEC and made sure my iOS is compatible. All checks out but still no pollen counts. Rating would be 4-5 if it worked. It’s been a couple of months now and still doesn’t work. Like a lot of apps I wonder if this has been abandoned versus updated.

Ok, difficult to read

ZYRTEC is nice for a quick overview. It's very basic and doesn't allow for customizing the background, the text is very small and the screen doesn't rotate when you turn your phone.

I would give is app 5 stars if the above was addressed.

The orange background with small text, makes it very difficult to read. ZYRTEC designer should look at color theory. Black text on white background or the inverse has the best contrast. Yellow and orange background with white and light colored text is the least amount of contrast, making it very difficult to read.

Easy solution- allow the user to change the background and text color.

By

Needs account

ZYRTEC needs to save your account info, so when you sign in it has a track record of your symptoms and date. I only use ZYRTEC a few times a year and delete it from my phone when not using. Then when I download it again there is no record of when I had similar symptoms.

By

Latest update has stopped providing forecasted pollen counts and predominant pollens.

Please correct ASAP so users have accurate information! This happens every tear. It starts out great but then the counts don’t change at some point. This could be a great app if someone behind the scenes made sure it was working properly, especially during peak allergy season.

By

What happened?

I’ve been using ZYRTEC for a few years and it’s been great, but this last week or so (since the latest update) it’s been showing no allergens (which I know is false) and crashing almost immediately.
Please fix this!!

By

The app crashes

ZYRTEC continuously crashes especially if I move from i e town to another. I can tracker symptoms one day at my home and it is fine. Go to work to track and it crashes until it reads that I am at home.

Also, I may not have any of the symptoms listed but one I do have that isn’t listed is sinus migraine. That should be added.

New update makes the app worthless

The update on ZYRTEC to make bug fixes has created a terrible problem that makes it worthless. Unless you can read the entire screen in 10 seconds, your out of luck. It pops up on the pollen count impact screen and then closes down after 10 seconds. Ridiculous!

By

Unreliable

The data never updates. The same pollen forecast has displayed for more than three weeks. The pollen specifics haven’t changed in a month. Reinstalling didn’t change the results. The temp sometimes says the forecast is 20-30 degrees when the feels like temp outside is 100 degrees. App needs a major overhaul or just remove it from the store.

When it works

Update 25 Nov 19. Broken Again. Does this 3/4 times a year. Takes weeks before it’s fixed.
Great app when it works.

When it works is very good. Has worked once in past few weeks. Have had app for few years. It stops working a lot and it takes the powers that be weeks or month to notice and fix.
