Tried this Delta vs. the new Purple version. DeltaLegacy takes roms but leaves out important files once the 7z roms are unzipped. It’s not user friendly. The other Delta app, all you have to do is download a 7zz zip file, open it up and then add it. DeltaLegacy, not so much.
Just like so many other people, my files are now all gone. The original Delta app worked perfectly fine so idk why you had to go and make a new one, even less so make it so we couldn’t play on the old one. I’m disappointed.
lost every single one of my save states thanks to this stupid new update. there was NOTHING wrong with delta and if the new update wasn't compatible with the melonds or whatever, what was the point of updating it in the first place if you needed to download a whole entire other app? now i have to start fresh on EVERY game after i spent HOURS trying to salvage my save states. a huge waste of my time & extremely disappointed. might not even try anymore at this point
I’m a bit upset that my data won’t transfer over. Okay. I can deal with that. I had not gotten that far in my Pokemon game. However, the A button does not work. Hopefully, this gets fixed.
About 80 hours into Pokémon moon black 2 and I’ve lost pretty much all progress because I can’t get my saves imported to Legacy. After 3 attempts and scouring Reddit for help, it’s still not working. Irritated and over it at this point. Way too complicated and with no troubleshooting Avenue outside of posting on Reddit, which just earns you snarky replies and downvotes for not being able to figure it out. Shame.
So what exactly is the difference between this and regular delta because I don’t see any difference also my roms which work perfectly fine in regular delta don’t work for some reason because for ds roms it says that I’m missing files and all the other roms aren’t even compatible
I followed steps on the website and imported the incompatible save to legacy, but the exported save can’t be imported to the delta 1.6 and makes delta 1.6 losing all progress. Why doing such incompatible transition??? AppStore has auto updates which means lots of people like me not aware of this huge change and got all progress lost
Their website says if you use this you can recover your save states, but it doesn’t work. When I load in my save state it freezes and I can’t save the game, so I can’t transfer the save file. DeltaLegacy is pointless because it doesn’t do the one thing it would be useful for.
I lovedddddd the delta emulator. I attempted to download this version because my game saves wouldn't load on the older version. It charged me for DeltaLegacy and it doesn't show up on my other devices. In order to use it on the device of my choice, it has to be purchased again on all of them even if my apple id is synced to all of them.
When I first saw the update for the regular Delta emulator, I thought that it wouldn’t be a big deal because I could just import my save files to DeltaLegacy, but it wouldn’t let me do it and I tried it multiple times. I’m very disappointed in DeltaLegacy, because it usually is very seamless and easy to use and navigate, but now I can’t play my favorite retro games anymore.
Please fix the Fast Forward feature! It jumbles the music horribly, making it extremely unpleasant to use. This wasn’t an issue with the original Delta app.
Look at the instructions for importing save data and you’ll be alright. So far so good however I do think it runs my phone hot. I’ll update in a week.
Tip: Use the bigger file with the same name. Not the image files. The image files will not import the game.
Everyone please read the save file transfer instructions on their website VERY carefully. I had tried about 3 times and failed, becoming frustrated and about to give up. But what I didn’t realize is that the purpose wasn’t to export your save STATES, you’re exporting your save FILE. Which means you need to save IN-GAME (Like, ignoring save states, and saving your game like you would normally playing on a real physical DS). So if done correctly, you shouldn’t be exporting and loading your old save state, you should start the game, and see your in-game save waiting on the title screen. Sorry if this was obvious, sometimes i get frustrated dont read the instructions very finely, but I hope this clears some confusion for other people who arent very tech or file savvy. Im so relieved there was a working solution, thank you developers!
I can play my old saves files I can’t believe he did this!
It’s cool but kinda confusing what the purpose is because delta has ds emulation
a lot of peoples reviews i’ve seen have talked about stuff like losing save data, having to pay money, or the transfer process being extremely difficult. i haven’t run into any of these issues, but here are some tips to make using delta legacy easier:
(these arent steps and these tips are numbered out of order from when in the process they would be relevant)
1. this is sort of common sense, but once you’ve exported your save from delta, go into your files app, rename your save, and make a backup (you can access the options to duplicate and rename by long pressing the file)
2. once you’ve imported your save data, just go to load data and load the file. i accidentally overwrote my save data because i tapped on it from the save file menu (the file isn’t gonna have game image on it, just a gray background and a delta logo, dont worry about it just load it up and it will read the whole thing)
3. make sure to have your melonDS bios and firmware files! you need to import them and the game file before you can get to adding save data. it’s the same process as you went through to put the game into regular delta in the first place.
once you’ve done all you importing, just use it like you used delta before. its literally just the old version. happy gaming!! :)
I don’t really see why people think this is so bad works perfectly fine i love it have no problems. I wish there was a emulator for 3ds though then thats when the nostalgia hits.
When I found out that Delta stopped using the load states for the DS, I was really disappointed because because I was having so much fun with my game. So when I’m like looking around and I found out that I can export my old files to Delta Legacy, I was so happy.
It’s super easy to set up runs perfect the first ios ds emulator that has mic support 🤯 I’ve been a fan of delta for 10 years back when it was gba4ios, it’s only gotten better over the years. I think the developer does an amazing job, and it’s all free so it’s clear to see this is all for the people.
I thought I lost all my save files but seeing that DeltaLegacy is out to save it all and easy to navigate made my life and day so much bette r
