Maybe Flick will grow in the coming years as Letterboxd did once. However, Flick does something even letterboxd is guilty of, being a doom scrolling social media app not focused on discussing film. On letterboxd there is at least an ability to discover niche films or lists that start you off in learning about certain genres. This also has the worst ranking system that does not allow you to have similarly ranked films and suffers the IMDb 10 star model. I don’t watch a ton of movies, but it’s a good app and a great concept (add tv shows!!). The UI could improve by being more user friendly. The posts are really big, I often have to scroll to see entire reviews and I don’t like that I have to click into a review to read the comments. Making the movie cover the first picture on a review instead of a tiny picture in the corner would help clean up the look. Even with all these suggestions it’s still a great app and with some minor tweaks it will make it that much better.

I love the idea of Flick , nice and simple and I’d love to try it out extensively but it crashes whenever I try to import my watch history. Given, I have logged a couple thousand movies but I can’t see myself restarting my backlog unless the issue is fixed. Fun idea though.

this app is a great app!! I love how easy it is to leave a review and it has a casual feel that makes it really stand out from other film apps. I use it to keep track of all the new releases I’ve watched and how I rank them!

Love the concept, and I find myself going to this app for movies to watch. Can’t wait for everyone to find Flick.

The fact you have a good grade system and that system lets you catalog your favorite movies in order is by far the best movie rating app

the UI is so nice and organized, there’s less of a community than letterboxd but that’s easily fixable with more users. if u value organization and UI this is Flick to use

I’m not a large movie watcher but when I do want to watch a movie this is Flick I would use to find one. Letting me sort by streaming platform and giving me recommendations is what I needed

This definitely has done for movies what Beli did for restaurants - so much easier to see what your friends are watching, what they think, and what they recommend. I’ve found Letterboxd impossible to be a truly social platform, it feels more like my journal for movies. this couldn’t be less true for this app, which is social through and through! The best

This is a super refreshing way to review movies and connect with your friends about them. It’s got some great UI improvements that other competitors (Letterboxd) are missing, and it succeeds in creating a true cinema-focused social experience that I’ve been wanting for a while.

I love that friends can comment on my ratings and I can click on a movie to see what my friends thought too! It’s the primary place I keep my need to watch movies as well which is so nice. When I’m done watching a movie I get excited to see how it stacks up on my rating list 📋

I’ll be honest - I love watching movies but I have no way to catalogue it. I tried to use letterbox but the UI never felt easy or intuitive to use. this app just completely dominates that problem and I love it. All of the added features are just a major feature! I love it!!

I was a big letterboxd user, but I’ve found myself often getting caught up in the ratings and subconsciously rating movies as I was watching them instead of simply being present. This user experience is heads and shoulders above letterboxd and that transfers into my movie watching experience too

Must-use app for every film lover out there. It does everything right. I love the simple rating system. I love the ease of writing a review. It’s easy to search and find movies and people. It’s social media done right. If you love movies, do yourself a favor and download Flick!!!! You won’t regret it
