When I set up my profile on here, I said I was 6”0 and now it just says that I’m 5”10 which is not true at all and really annoying ‘ cause it won’t let me change it back and every time I try to edit it it just glitches out.

Downloaded and purchased premium as they only showed a few profiles within 100 miles of me. After a week, I saw less than 50 people in my feed. Keep in mind I live in Los Angeles and can swipe endlessly on other apps. Requested refund as they forced premium to see more profiles (the non existent ones). Denied. This will be one of many online reviews. Need a better business Mindel. Do better!

I answered all the questions for a profile and added the required amount of pictures and the system sent me a message telling me that the registration failed and that I am BANNED. What did I do to get banned ? Don’t waste your time on BetterInPerson.

I had filled it out 5 times to start. After it says I hav no one in my area. Or wit in 100 miles of me. Says I hav no one near my location. Plus I payed 30 a month still got nothin. Doesn’t make any sense how I hav no one

Not sure if it’s the lack of people or the algorithm but the people on here are so physically unattractive for me and not my type! Not worth it. I’d rather use The League or Coffee Meets Bagel.

Totally disappointed in the people on BetterInPerson. Couldn’t find anyone I was even interested in talking to.

I was creating a profile and it banned me right away.. :|

Every step of the onboarding process is cringe and full of ridiculous perspectives. Like one of the options for dating preferences is trying not to get murdered. Who thinks that way, it’s just gross and so delusional. I slowly got more and more annoyed as I got closer to the end, but the Ai written bios really sealed the deal. Having an algorithm write your bio is as inauthentic as you can get. I swiped a few profiles and it was pretty weird just reading a robot’s interpretation of each person. Then I deleted it. Great waste of time.
Edit: great condescending reply that discounts my review and fails to take responsibility for your hypocritical and inauthentic app design.

I get that BetterInPerson is new… that said there were a total of 2 profiles I could swipe on. That said, I’m in NYC, an age range of 23 to 40, and a five mile radius. A five mile radius in NYC. Two people. I’ve seen more f-boys holding ads for this in the last week than profiles on BetterInPerson. And I get BetterInPerson is new, but I’ve also beta tested social apps before. This is absurd.

The spot is buggy and will not allow me to upload photos to create an account

The user experience on this platform is severely compromised for those who choose not to subscribe to its premium services. The number of profiles available for viewing has been drastically reduced, now limited to a mere 12 per day. This restriction not only hinders meaningful connections but also impacts the overall quality of interactions. Furthermore, the profiles presented often do not align with the preferences of many users, leading to a less satisfying experience

I shouldn’t have to record a video to use BetterInPerson this is so stupid and a waste of time who ever made BetterInPerson should remove making a video mandatory and give you the option of if you want to make a video and where ever you put it won’t give you anyone near you don’t download unless if you want to waste your time

BetterInPerson is not the best for people with standards. After about a day it said that I had to adjust my filters to see other people because it ran out of people and it says that new people join daily it’s been three weeks and it still says there’s nobody in my area that fits my standards I also had a date but we had to plan it ourselves BetterInPerson didn’t like it’s supposed to do. I don’t know about BetterInPerson. I’ve had better luck on others than this one.

Wanted to like BetterInPerson, but it’s just too new at this point. You only get to swipe on 20 people a day and BetterInPerson kept showing me the same exact profile I just selected pass on, 3 or 4 times, for multiple people. Then my 20 was up when in reality I only saw about 11 profiles. After 6 days using BetterInPerson , there was not a single profile that i wanted to match with, making the 20 accounts a day even more frustrating when most were repeats.

The concept is great. The video prompt helps to get that sense of vibe from a person and is unique.
Love the idea for suggestions for a restaurant between both locations, however, this is the first fault in design. Scheduling can be tough and plans can be made a few days removed. Getting a prompt every other message I send is abysmal. There needs to be a silence feature or as “we figured somewhere else” button to dismiss it. I talked to someone for over an hour and had 59 prompts for choosing a restaurant. Too much!
Which bring me to the next point; who thought putting the “pass” button at the bottom of the chat right next to “send a message?”
That designer should be fired.
Misclick and a potential partner is gone to the abyss. The boxes at the top and away from general typing is enough.
Let’s start with those fixes and this is easily a 3.5-4.

I spent $30 on a subscription for the ability to change my filter settings and I get absolutely nobody in my feed. Not even a man asking me out on a date. BetterInPerson doesn’t work, it’s a waste of money. Supposedly they’re only in NY and LA and I’m in NY but there is nobody to look at…so how am I supposed to go on any dates?!

None of your features work. Very disappointing. No one in my area or that matches my profile! Where ate my Daily matches????
by Cool Guy77
I gave it two stars for the idea. The execution needs some work, like only being pitched 20 profiles at a time. Plus they put old ones you already passed on in the same carousel so you pass on them over and over again. To be fair, it is a new app so I am open to changing my rating later on.
by Steffimarvelous
It’s a refreshing concept and helps with eliminating fake profiles. Due it being a new app, the candidate pool is still very limited. I kept getting the same profiles on my feed repeated. I ended up canceling my account because a recent change gives free members 12 profiles per day instead of 20 in the previous version. Disappointing.

I like the idea and the vibe of BetterInPerson so far. However I allegedly have date requests according to my iPhone leader bar and app notifications, but when I go to check that part of my profile it says there's nothing there 🤔 Glitch? Bug? Am I doing something wrong?
by Still No Dates
App failed to set up a date for the woman I matched with because she’s “in another city“. In reality, we live very close together, we are separated by just a couple miles, so that excuse is hardly a good one.
In any case I’ve gotten in touch with her and asked her if she is ready to meet, since that is what I expect from BetterInPerson. And she has not gotten back to me. I am going to ask again now, after which, I expect her to ghost me. Because that’s what women on dating apps do. Ghost men.
You need to grow a pair and realized that something worth having sometimes requires, in fact *always requires* taking a risk. Women, if you won’t take that risk, you will always be alone.
by Arcticasonata
I wouldn’t recommend this to nobody. Once again you don’t meet nobody everybody on here is fake and they all ask for money whenever you try to meet up with somebody they never show up. This is the waste of time so I don’t recommend this to anybody.

Was nervous at first making the video but actually really like that feature. A lot of fun stuff to play around with in the profile creating page (and some weird).. but had no problems with BetterInPerson so far and it’s a good premise.
by DapperDipStick
BetterInPerson is new and there is currently no one else in my area, but BetterInPerson has some good bones. Just the profile creation made me laugh and the prompts make it really easy to make. There may not be anyone near that has BetterInPerson yet but if this gets popular, this would be my dating app of choice.

BetterInPerson has the potential to out shine all of the current dating apps out there. You can see people for who they are on video and also sort through other characteristics or traits that you’re looking for from others. I’m excited to see what the future holds for BetterInPerson.
by Arslancio
You see how they cared on BetterInPerson and it has specific goals 👍🏽 Maybe logo can be one which describes what people are looking for, it stopped me to not register for two weeks just because of logo. App itself us the best 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
by Jdoll81
I like it the layout of BetterInPerson. Even though, not many have joined. It’s new! I love that you cant join unless you have a video.
by Jslam187
I love that BetterInPerson does not require any money to start. I’ve met some beautiful women on here and I look forward to finding someone special.
by Zeke778959
Even if I don’t get a date, BetterInPerson is an improvement on overall dating apps.

BetterInPerson seems to solve all the problems that other dating apps clearly have, catfish time wasters it’s not set up to generate money it’s set up to match two real people. Now let’s hope it gains popularity
by DoWhatIWant
It's so refreshing to see videos of the guy before you decide to swipe and the funny prompts in the video are hilarious. I could watch these videos all day!
