I got and used BookPlayer due to it's ease of use and good design. I have dozens of full length audiobooks imported into it totaling many gigabytes. Now I'm being told to pay for a monthly subscription to both have "no limits on the number of books" and "no limits on listening time"? You mean I have to pay to continue using the basic functionality for an audiobook app I've previously enjoyed? What a scam.
Constant pop up every time I open BookPlayer asking me to join the monthly subscription. The pop up has a timer before you can close it.
You used BookPlayer from the beginning and now want to switch to another app? Too bad, you need to pay to export your audiobooks.
Don’t be fooled - BookPlayer is $2.99 / month as of April 2025. For “free” you can listen to up to 30 minutes a day, along with some other restrictions, making the “free” version useless. I’d sooner pay an upfront fee than sign onto yet another monthly subscription.

I’m looking forward to see how BookPlayer grows, it’s very helpful. I just wish I could use it across multiple devices with automatic syncing.
I have downloaded mp3 audiobooks and wasn’t sure how to play them with adjusting speed and figuring out chapters on my phone. Then I found BookPlayer! The chapters of the book were automatically there after uploading the mp3 files! I tried another app and it did not have that. You can adjust rewind and forward speeds, upload book art. I am so impressed. Free with no ads! Thank you!!
