Simple Scan Quick Scanner Reviews

I’m happy to pay the lifetime fee but I feel like cropping is too awkward (can’t move a margin easily — have to fiddle with both corners) and there’s no opportunity to name a scan before you share it. But still a handy app.

Another nicely designed app from Agile Tortoise. it’s easy to use and works well. However, for the price it doesn’t seem to add much. The scanning engine seems to be the same as you get in notes. There’s no way to edit the scan or any improvement for taking the scan image. And there’s no way to tweak the image taken, just like in Notes (I’m not talking about “filters”). For the price they ought to be away to adjust and contrast. This is especially important things you want to save in black and white. The workflow options for what to do with your scan are an upgrade, but I expected more for the price.

I have been using Scannable for a few years now. Unfortunately, Evernote has gotten greedy and while Scannable itself is free, is usability has been reduced while a hidden cost has been added. Now, you have to have Evernote to get your scans out of Scannabke. And Evernote is really costly. Simple Scan steps up and, while it is not free, it is more than reasonable at $5 annually. Or $50 lifetime. It is a little more clunky than Scannabke, but it is a great, simple scanning app that I think will fit our needs. I happened across it in a review by one of the Apple dedicated RSS news feeds. I would like to see SimpleScanQuickScanner be simplified to the extent Scannable was, but I get it. I hope the developer does well with it, and I will start using it today! Goodbye to Scannable and Evernote; hello Simple Scan!

SimpleScanQuickScanner does absolutely nothing. I tap the scan button. Nothing. Tap settings. Nothing. I can change the file size. Whoo hoo! Fix it and if it’s all the person who recommended to me said it was I’ll pay.

UPDATE: Not sure what happened but works fine now. Only reason it’s 4 and not 5 is the original problem. Support tried to help but I had already tried the basic trouble shooting. It just suddenly started working after a day or two.

Having used a variety of iPhone scanner software over the years, this is THE BEST of them all!

Love SimpleScanQuickScanner. It’s like Drafts, it loads fast and I can do what I need to do quickly and easily.

Simple Scan is wonderful. It’s simple and straightforward, very iOS-focused and well-integrated into the system.

The file name templates are great, as are the custom destinations.

Scans are high quality and the OCR works well.

All this and no bloat, no ads, no data harvesting, and no privacy concerns. A refreshing approach to software these days.

I don’t buy many apps but this was a no-brainer purchase that immediately replaced the solution I had been using for years.

I used to only scan documents in the Apple Notes app. Now, I can do it whenever I want and even save the documents DevonThink. Cool!

I’ve tried a number of scanner apps on my iPhone over the years, and this is, by far, the fastest and simplest one yet. Also, $20 for lifetime access is a great deal! Highly recommended!

SimpleScanQuickScanner is what I have wanted for years now. In the past, scanning apps started simple and reasonably priced, but then became bloated and over priced. This developer has a history of good solid apps that are reasonably priced. I’m all in!

I’ve been searching and hoping for a well designed and simple scanning app that’s native to iOS and makes scanning pages into my iCloud files easy. This checks every box for me.

This is the best scanner app I’ve used on the iPhone. Nice and simple, easy to use. Several scanning apps I have used previously are cluttered with unnecessary features . . . Simple scan gets out of your way and lets you just get things done. Highly recommended.

Great and simple app. Easily paid the lifetime fee. Was tired of having to do another subscription.
Only issue I’m having is setting up custom destinations. If I enter someone’s name and email when I hit it it just opens up my email and nothing pre populated. Could you use some help with this.
Like what do I enter under name and recipient.

I finally found a basic and functional alternative to Adobe Scan! This has all the functionality I wanted. Perhaps the only refinement needed is in the cropping out of the background of the scanned document. However, I’m picking SimpleScanQuickScanner up as a version 1.0 product, so no doubt the cropping AI will improve. Subscribed!
