I’m so disappointed HammerheadCompanion does not work with older Karoo 2 units. We have been waiting a long time for this feature.

Karoo 2 is not supported. Please state this obviously in HammerheadCompanion description so others don’t waste their time and energy.

I won’t even consider upgrading my Karoo 2 to the K3 until SRAM commits to making HammerheadCompanion compatible with the population of K2 devices that otherwise work perfectly well.

Seriously, no support for the K2 I bought a couple months ago? Setting up for the first time for a 7 day bike-packing trip and already no app support. Pretty good way to loose SRAM customers!

Yes, I like the K2, but it’s despicable that the phone app only connects to the new “Karoo”.

And it’s double despicable since we already know the K2 is bluetooth capable and Hammerhead can release software updates on the fly.

Note to SRAM marketing knobs, this ISN’T the way to build customer loyalty.

Completely useless K2 now that they’re K3 is out. I re-downloaded HammerheadCompanion only to find it has nothing for the K2 I just spent $500 six months ago.
Then my PW stopped working and now I can’t log in to website. Though the site keeps telling me it’s sending me an email to reset my PW, nothing arrives. Nothing in spam either.
I’m so frustrated with the whole system I think Im going to take the loss and get a Garmin like the rest of the TDF followers in my group are using.
SRAM should be ashamed of this technical mess. It is everything BUT user friendly.

So my K2 is unsupported. Makes me want to go back to Garmin for a bunch of reasons: better battery life, and a usable app. Yes, I do believe the K2 is a better and easier computer to use than the others out there, but being relegated to “outsider” status is a distasteful scam perpetrated on loyal users. Is the new Karoo worth its nearly $500 pricetag? I doubt it; it doesn’t seem to have anything over the K2. So yes. I agree with some of the other negative posts: SRAM scam, and no more love for Hammerhead. No longer will I advocate for a device whose company so clearly disrespects its users. And to those of you who have the new Karoo, good luck to you, you do have a great device. But you’ll probably be posting something similar when the “K4” comes out and HammerheadCompanion upgrade will only support the latest device, leaving you floundering in a pool of betrayal.

This is an absolutely a garbage strategy. Disrespectful to customers to say the least.

And folks with latest version now seems like will also be left behind when the new karoo comes up...

The only way to use HammerheadCompanion is to scan the QR code, but this doesn’t work. When I attempt to scan using HammerheadCompanion , nothing happens when placing the QR code within the camera field. I am able to sync the device to my account if I use the native camera app, but the companion app is unavailable to use.

I have a Karoo 2 that’s a little over a year old, and now there is no support app if I get a new phone or want to use a tablet. I bought the Karoo because of its reputation and usability internationally. Now not so much.

Refuses to pair, says requires the new Karoo (which I just bought).

I don’t see any good reason this does not work with the Karoo 2.

This “only compatible with Karoo” nonsense, feels like a money grab.

Excited they came out with app only to find Karoo 2 not supported.

What a joke, just spent almost $500 on the new Karoo and the companion app can’t even pair with my Karoo 3 because it thinks it’s a Karoo 2.

Disappointing, even more so because Hammerhead sent me an email to go try the new companion app.

App does nothing but connect to phone! Doesn’t offer any sort of ability to mod the interface of device.

There’s no good technical reason for the lack of support for previous devices. This is just a naked attempt to drive users to purchase a new device that they don’t need. I was considering upgrading, until now.

That feeling when you’re a longtime karoo 2 user who’s basically been an unpaid local brand ambassador, and you find yourself disenfranchised by the lack of support for your device on the long overdue mobile app. Sram scam. Terrible.

Disappointing that hammerhead hasn’t made app support available for the Karoo 2. Way to leave your loyal customers out in the cold.

I was extremely impressed with how well and quickly the Karoo paired with my third party components. I don’t like how the only way to assess the ride data is through Strava which does not always provide the most accurate depictions or go as in depth of the workout. I think that this is something that HammerheadCompanion would be better utilized for. The details that Wahoo provides is impressive and something that is very replicatable.
Why have all these things on my display if I can’t see any of it afterwards?
