This game is genuinely, heaping garbage. It’s like they got a series beloved by adults and made it into brain rotted nonsense for ADHD children. It actually makes no sense, and is laughably horrible. The fact they thought this would work just goes to show how disconnected the rich people are from real life and the desire of everyday people. I would recommend getting this game, only to briefly laugh at how bad it is and then immediately delete it upon realizing that yes— you are actually playing the game right now, it’s really so horrible I had to wonder if this was some type of mini game while the real game downloaded in the background— no, it is the game, and it is so bad that I didn’t even begin to assume I was actually playing the finished work of an age of empires game, then realized in a sort of comedic horror that I’ve been waiting months for what I can only describe as manifest garbage, a wasted time I spent on the toilet that I could have scrolled through memes instead. 0/10.

Congratulations, Age of Empires Mobile, for officially winning the award for the absolute worst game ever made. It’s a masterpiece in how to ruin both your time and your wallet simultaneously. Pay-to-win? Oh, it’s more like ‘pay-to-even-breathe.’ The developers have clearly put more effort into draining your bank account than into the gameplay. Honestly, the people responsible for this disaster should hang their heads in shame—or better yet, face a courtroom for crimes against the gaming community. As for the company behind it, they’ve managed to take the beloved Age of Empires legacy and shred it into unrecognizable pieces, then doused it with microtransactions for good measure. It’s like they actively tried to make the game as joyless and exploitative as possible. Age of Empires? More like Age of Nightmares. Save yourself the headache (and the cash)—this game is an insult to the genre and a waste of everyone’s time. Just when you thought gaming couldn’t sink any lower, here comes Age of Empires Mobile to prove you wrong.

Remember AoE. Sending hordes of villagers to tear down forests. Building rows of farms after that. Ripping through stone and gold mines. Carefully constructing your walls and defenses. Placing military buildings deep in your town in case of attack. Sending villagers to start backup towns in case you lose. Or closer to better resources or geographical advantages. Actually seeing the troops you trained and positioning them around the map. Focusing your town on rapid military development or a producing powerhouse.

This game has none of that.

It is literally the same world pvp base game that you see in Facebook ads. The zombie ones and the ones with anime girls. Exact same game, new skin. Same world map structure. Search for npc’s to attack. Send one of your three squads led by hero’s you recruit with tickets at a tavern. Three resources to choose from. In which any other player can attack you on a resource tile and kill your troops. Speed ups. Resource package items. Heroes have star levels you upgrade to. Skills you level up.

Nothing original about this game. Nothing nostalgic from the franchise we all know.

Using the name Age of Empires is a scam to trick older adults that were fans of the game way back when. This is a money grab. It is pay to win. And a bunch of idiots will dump thousands anyways.
