TBH I got a free version but I’m really glad I did because I found it impossible to use realistically. I guess if you wanted to snap a photo of each word you wanted to memorize, it would work for you, but that was not for me. The structure also didn’t work for me. I just found the whole thing confusing. Still, I would wait to see what others say before discounting WordSnap as it may just be my problem, who knows?

I tried to purchase the lifetime subscription and tapping on the button did nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled WordSnap and the problem persisted. On the day that I wrote this you were offering a promotion for free lifetime version. It looks like I won’t be able to get that which is really disappointing.

App的概念很好，但是还有很多基础功能存在问题…… 1.请修复强制首字母大写的设定。 2.请允许自定义排列顺序，而不是强制按开头字母排序。 3.请允许为不同标签设置不同的默认语言，否则存在识别错误的情况。例如日语词和中文词。还有英语词和很多欧洲语言。 4.对系统自带日语罗马字输入法支持很糟糕，无法手动输入日语。对非拉丁字母都不支持？？ 5.开的会员每次使用都要恢复购买记录才能用，真的很烦… 请修复以上问题，谢谢。

Major problem is one can't add visuals; I am a visual learner. For example, I wish to learn "apple" in Spanish, but app won't let me upload a picture! Fix that and it's 5 stars.

WordSnap is good and somewhat practical. But as a German learner, I hope to be able to control the capitalization of the first letter of the word, because the German writing rules determine the difference in the capitalization of the first letter of nouns and other words. In addition, I hope that the translation of nouns should include the gender of the noun. The lack of the above two functions in WordSnap will cause great learning obstacles for German learners. Thank you!

It's very easy to add multiple recognized words in a photo at once, but on the contrary, deleting these words is only possible one by one. The ability to multi-select words and delete them at once is required.

Is a new app, but it is looking good. UI is beautiful. It just needs some more features: import cards from Anki and CSV, auto generate cards with images.

Can I add the original picture as notes to a card?

For Deutsch words it will be separated nouns from its definite article when scan from book. This really need to adjust. As definite is critical for learners! Pls also cancel auto-capital feature! Thanks!

WordSnap is combining OCR & generative AI to make flash card creation easy. I’m very impressed by how well it works.

I recently went to Italy and took a bunch of pictures of signs at the museums, and I used WordSnap to quickly generate flash cards for the words I don’t know

It has some room for improvements, but I think this is a very solid step forward in this category of apps

This is a great app that makes it so easy to make new flash cards. It’s especially helpful for learning Chinese because you don’t have to write or type the characters, they are instantly recognized. It would be great to set a “target language” (so Japanese isn’t confused for Chinese, or target Cantonese over Mandarin) and I would also love to see the pinyin/other romanization (Jyutping for Cantonese). Overall a solid 5-star app.
