I’ve been using MyMovies5Pro since version 2 or 3 to keep track of just my 3D Blu-ray’s. I like MyMovies5Pro but getting tired of getting all the notifications around the end of the year about a new version and must pay to upgrade or chance not having my already current version not being supported. I’ve upgraded to the new version every year and currently have the 5 Pro which it said no subscription and it hasn’t. But when I’m being told at the end of every year that my version may not be supported because of the new version and I have to pay in order to be current it ticks me off. I’m not paying for another version/upgrade… again. Most apps just update their current version with no fee. If this version stops being supported then I’ll just switch to another app or make my own list.

MyMovies5Pro needs to be 17+ now because it now introduces prnography to your collections.
MyMovies5Pro can easily be turned on by your child or yourself to allow prn titles and pictures to feed their addiction. Why go this unethical route? Quite disappointed to see this from a great app. I’ve been a fan for a long time and have upgraded every time happily but now kinda regret it. Don’t get me wrong, best app out there for recording movies collections but the mistake companies do is think they need to include prn to make something better. Also, This doesn’t have to do with my rating but I find the price increase in upgrading at half price is quite steep to upgrade again. So full price will be $30? Starting to lose me.

The good: everything else. Great interface, easy adding, ability to contribute, able to add multiple copies now, good support, reporting, trailers attached.

My requests to improve: contributing is not very user friendly with how to do it, being able to link your movie to MyMovies5Pro like being able to go directly to iTunes or Plex or Vude, remove prn or make it incredibly hard to access, I don’t want to even tempt myself.

My rating is strictly based on adding filth to MyMovies5Pro .

I have been a user of the Pro version of MyMovies5Pro since the beginning and it truly is fantastic at organizing & keeping track of the titles in my collection! Why 4 stars? The recent changes in this version keep adding unwanted clutter to the movie info page. First it was these new “lists” - “Oh! Look your movie is included in 49 lists!” These lists are other user’s collections & groupings. Why would I care about that?? I don’t, but there is no way to turn that off. Worse, it is near the top of the page, below title image, and before all of my movie data. So, now I see they have added what amounts to advertising with a huge new banner under the already annoying “part of these lists” section! This new section is titled “Watch Alternatives” that has icons for every streaming platform where the movie can be found. Ummm, I already own the title. Why would I want to stream it from somewhere else? Both of these new, unwanted features add clutter to the page and means I have to scroll all the way down my screen to see my info, tags, etc. Make these new features optional with a setting and I will give back the 5th star!

This has helped me organize and sort through over 6,000 discs and digital titles I own. Yeah, I own more media than I’ll be able to watch before I die. I relate my life to movies and TV shows I’ve seen. For example I’m like Forrest Gump in that I was in the Army and had a Jenny. I’m like Water Boy in that my lesbian Sister’s friend Alicia, who had been in prison 7 years showed me her chichis, tata, hoo hoo, and buzzingas. I shouldn’t have but I liked it. She probably had herpes so it’s good I didn’t partake. Just looked against my will. My wife is from Africa and that makes her my LaFawnduh like from Napoleon Dynamite just to name a few…

Sorry, but I do not agree with your response. As I said, in my initial post, you can, as the developer , create a blank field where the user can enter the name of somebody a title is lent to. There is no need to access a contact list. I don’t understand why My Movies need to access my Contact list with all full and complete contact information (name, address, phone numbers and email addresses) if I want to change a movie status to Lent. I would rather be able to add a note showing who the movie was lent to. This is very disappointing.

I like MyMovies5Pro a lot. I use it all the time. I especially like the “lent” feature. Before I would lend out a movie and never see it again, I would look all over for it and remember I had lent it out but not who I lent it to.
I would like to see a place for new and future movies and tv series that I could earmark they would be coming out soon, and when. Also a way to track which episodes I have watched, one they do come out.

Not exactly the fanciest app around, but it gets the job done and does it well. Keeps me from accidentally buying the same disc twice and makes it super easy to check if I actually own something or I just suspect that I own it. Been using it for many, many years and will continue to use as long as it runs on an iPhone.

By far the best money for an app I ever spent. If you have a ever expanding movie collection this the best way to maintain a record of your titles. It provides you with info about the movie, running times, etc. I was going to correlate my movies on a spreadsheet. What a joke. MyMovies5Pro is the way to go.

My collection is over 4500 titles and MyMovies5Pro manages it nicely. I appreciate that the developers have made improvements to the product and even diversified into a discount sales platform. I’ve catalogued my movies in other apps that the developers let die…such a pain.

Great way to keep track of your DVDs & Blu-Rays! I have hundreds and can’t always remember if I have a certain movie so if I’m shopping and see something I want to have but can’t remember if I have it or not. With My Movies I can just take out my phone, open MyMovies5Pro and check if I have it or not.

I’ve been using My Movies for years and it just keeps getting better. Adding a title is easy, even if it’s boxed set. Using MyMovies5Pro , I can quickly review my collection (2500+ discs) and find exactly what I want to watch. It’s also very informative to see the collection by actor, director, cinematographer, or whatever.

On the previous version, I never had any issues with showing the images of the cover of the movie I’ve added. With this version this Is the only main issue I have! Customer support seems a little slower as well. I’m pretty disappointed. If this issues are not resolved, I am most likely won’t purchase the next version.

I’ve been using MyMovies5Pro for quite a long time now and have had the previous versions as well. The developer is great and constantly is making upgrades to an already mostly perfect app. It’s incredibly thorough and customizable. It’s always worked well for me and I hope it sticks around for a very long time. Highly recommended.

I stumbled upon MyMovies5Pro a few years ago. After trying the free version, I love how it is simple on how I keep track of my collection. Also you can make lists of movies you want to watch or buy. I am happy to offer my limited support by purchasing their new version of MyMovies5Pro. I know it takes many hours and lots of energy to keep this operating smoothly.

I’ve purchased every Pro Version and they synced nicely between my devices. It was the go-to movie cataloging app for our family(we have separately purchased for our multiple collections). But now not only did I have to purchase the new version for my iPad, I have to repurchase AND pay yearly in the future for my iPhone as well? No updated Mac Version? Will it sync with the multiple versions I have now? What happens when it’s time to update again?
The object is to keep track of my collection when I visit my Friendly Local Independent Record Store so that I don't purchase the same movie twice(four times actually). I’d like to still be able to keep track the movies I’m cataloging, but I’m not sure that it’s worth a surprise $60 a year.

It’s as simple as this - you’re not going to find a better film/TV companion and inventory app anywhere on iOS or iPadOS as good as this. I use it exclusively to keep tabs on my collection, reference info about what I’m watching, and rate my content. And the fact I can sync my ratings and history with Trakt is just icing on the cake.

If you’re a film and TV buff looking for a definitive solution for tracking your collection, buy MyMovies5Pro without hesitation.

I have a constant growing collection of movies and it has really helped keep track of what I’ve already bought. The feature to log who I’ve loaned movies to has also been a godsend when it comes to getting my movies back from people I’ve lent them out to. Sometimes it’s also a nice alternative to physically scanning all of my movies when I want to search for something to watch.

If collecting and watching movies is a hobby of yours, then MyMovies5Pro is what you want. There is a free version as well as this paid pro version. MyMovies5Pro is always being tweaked with improvements and enhancements. When folks gather at your house for movie night, instead of flipping through disks, you just pass MyMovies5Pro around to settle on a title for the night. This is especially handy during the holidays when family comes to stay for a few days. And it keeps everyone’s hands off your collection.

I purchase every new version when it comes out ((blind faith). Have done so for many years - since the second version. And I tried several apps before making my decision.
My collection as of today is 645 titles. MyMovies5Pro manages them with no problems. Support is fast to act although there have been few reasons to do so in my experience.
And I want to support that kind of business.

My favorite update with this version is the speed of PDF reports. There were a couple issues initially. But now reports are blinding fast and work as expected.

I love MyMovies5Pro because not only does it keep track of my movies, i can search by character or actor. It has information about the movies. I love that i can make it if i lend it to someone. I always lost track of that.
