wish i would have waited to pay for full version

Bought it on day one it crashed. I thought it was because of me it wasnt. Later same day while using my bird scout its like a shadow black out the screen, to get everything back you have to pause and unpause it will return. 2nd day it crashed two times it just goes black and boot me. i play on ipad pro have plenty of space and use xbox controller.I feel like i am owed something cause now it is 50% off and i payed full price. I will say it is an ok game still should have waited or bought it on Xbox. Day 3 realizing if i want to play this will need to save every 5 min because it crash so much, i do not recommend this game unless something is done to fix this. Definitely not worth the money.

A ton of bugs

The reason I gave this game a 1 star rating, is because after every few minutes, the game cuts off. Also the game lags a good bit in certain areas, and it should not be doing that with the phone I have, which is the iPhone 15 Pro. It is a very beautiful game with awesome graphics, but also way too over priced. I honestly wouldn’t pay no more than $10 maybe $15 for this game, because at its current price, you can get the PS5 or Xbox Series X/S version for only $5 more. So until it goes down in price and have the bugs removed, I won’t be buying it, I’ll just buy it for my PS5 first. I was reluctant to buy it at first because of all of the negative reviews on console, but after playing for a few minutes on my phone, what little I could play this far, I really liked it.

Not running well

First day release and it already has issues logging in with Ubisoft account. Framerate, lag drops. Also another annoying thing why does it need to be connected to the internet to play???

Please fix all this. Bad start

Subpar game from subpar developer

First startup and you’re told there’s no offline mode and a Ubisoft account is required, this should not be even close to required for a solo story driven game. I attempt to make an account via Apple sign in and Ubisoft REJECTS Apple relay email so you can’t keep your info private from Ubisoft. Scummy but not surprising from this developer.
Move on to gameplay, controls are fine but performance is a tad below what I expected. I experienced multiple complete game freezes during the prologue, one for over 30 seconds while I was knocking out a guard.
This would be fine and understandable if they weren’t charging FIFTY DOLLARS for this title. Thats a ridiculous price for a bummer of a port that was supposed to be higher quality according to Apple’s own marketing/hype. 20-30 dollars is where this title should be sitting and only then would this be worth considering.

iPhone 15 PROMAX / TRASH

What happened to this iphone being meant for gaming with an integrated gaming chip and all, yet I have tried playing “AAA” games. AC: Mirage, Death Stranding, RE: Village, COD: Warzone, Hitman: Blood Money, etc … and they all play like absolute garbage. AC: Mirage has to be the WORST one of all though. DO NOT BUY ! Not only are the games unplayable but the phone gets extremely hot within minutes, yes its on the highest graphic settings. If its not going to run smooth then why even have the option ? This phone was marketed as the next big gaming iphone and cant even play a game properly. Apple you should be ashamed of your product and embarrassed to even allow these companies to sell all this JUNK on YOUR AppStore

bug bug

xbox controller cant’t skip

Unplayable garbage

I had high hopes for this game and I still do, but as of right now I’ve had to watch the opening cutscene three times because it crashes so much.

The graphics are horrible, even when set to high quality. They’re low resolution and don’t look as good as other console-style iOS games. Very disappointing for a $50+ game. In addition and gameplay is laggy and stutters, and motion is choppy despite iPhone 15 Pro’s 120fps display. Ray tracing seems non-existent, so maybe there’s no Metal support.

Games like Genshin do circles around this half-baked version of AC. Pokémon GO supports adaptive refresh. Even the old iOS version of Fortnite makes this look outdated.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed this gets fixed soon so I can actually play it. Until then, I’m not impressed. Glad I got it while it was still 50% off.

Not stable at all

The game stutter a lot and keeps crashing

Can’t play game

M2 iPad Pro, have 128GB free. Game is downloaded, click app icon, open game and get an alert: “Low Disk Space: There is not enough disk space available”

If I could attach a screenshot, I would show I have 128GB free on my iPad. Hopefully something can be resolved.

Major frame drops on M4 iPad Pro.

I really want to play this game, but the frame drops are unbearable at the moment. Hopefully an update comes soon.

no t

The m4ipad is wearing a radiator, open medium quality, the picture is confused and stuck, the game is locked at 30 frames. It is very uncomfortable to play, not as good as Resident Evil 8, which has 120 frames in medium and high quality

Too many lags

Good thing I didn’t buy this game. I would have bought it if it didn’t have some many lags and unstable frame rates. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and yet the game still struggles to continue processing. It would freeze many times and AssassinsCreedMirage will automatically shut done. I tried playing around with the graphics and frame rates settings to see if that would work, but to no avail. I even closed all background apps and put it on the highest performance setting but it was futile. Don’t expect people to buy this game if it has so many bugs.

Very poor performance

Brand new M4 iPad Pro medium settings I get like 20fps I wonder what that means for lower end devices 😔 Also crashes

Crashes, Keyboard Support, and More

I love that we’re getting AAA games on the iPad now. Makes sense with the M series chips. However, there are some issues with this implementation that once fixed would make this the best game release to date. 1. Random crashes, lots of folks are reporting this. 2. Keyboard and Mouse support. Apple gave us this wonder Magic Keyboard case for the iPad Pro, but I can’t use it with this game. Please add support for keyboard and mouse! 3. Aspect ratio, we have this big beautiful new OLED screen, but the game is forced into a wide aspect ratio with bars. Can we get 4:3 support?

First Impressions

As a long time fan of the AC series, I will focus this review on the functionality of the game rather than its weight as a title in the storyline.

The game is smoothly compatible with controller input and the touch screen controls aren’t too wonky for a game that wasn’t originally designed for it.
The one major thing that I think will add a lot of negatives is that the game seems to require internet access in order to play it. SERVER ISSUE right off the bat. The game won’t start up because the connection won’t work. This defeats the purpose of wanting the game on a mobile platform: most will play it during travel, flights, train rides, offices. Beyond the initial download, making the game offline playable would be ideal. Kinda like Death Stranding did on AssassinsCreedMirage Store. Ubisofts obsession with forcing you to log into a connect account becomes yet another tedious aspect of playing their games.

The graphics are okay, though in the same way we expect console to be less than PC, it’s obvious that an iPhone would perform less than a console.
I had and have high hopes for this game becoming a powerful title on AssassinsCreedMirage Store. But the constant internet need is gonna kill the amount of time players can spend with the game as opposed to alternatives

Crazy this works on mobile

The programming feat is unbelievable. Like most mobile ports, the controls are a little cluttered, but it’s not difficult to pickup. The storage footprint is also little large for a mobile game and it’s a bit of a shame that the graphics are not full frame on an iPad, but nothing game breaking. I didn’t much care for Valhalla or its characters, so following the story of the “big bad” from that game doesn’t much interest me. On the other hand, ancient Baghdad is cool. I give Mirage five stars for the port, and one star for the story.

Crashes like any other Ubisoft Title _ M4 iPad Peo

Waiting for this and Division Resurgence, it’s amazing to see what looks like a PC port running on mobile hardware. Insane be the times we live in.

The performance issue looks like the game is running at 15-20fps on high, maybe 20-30 on low settings. I really wish they let us get granular with choosing Metal up scaling or so.

Hope future updates bring improvements, and titles!

Long live mobile gaming now!

Off to a bad start

Very promising gaming future for the iPhone but it’s literally unplayable 😭. I got the iPhone 15 Pro Max 2 weeks ago in hopes of stuff like this, but it’s got criminally low frame rates, characters glitch out, and my phone’s already heating up eating battery quickly and it hasn’t even been 10 minutes into the game—all while on the LOWEST graphics setting.

The marvel of a triple A game on an iPhone is still incredible to see and of course this is only a day after release so hopefully updates will fix this overtime, but thank GOD they give you a demo to test it out.

Idk when this became the standard, but huge companies have gotta stop putting out an unfinished game/product just to “perfect it later” with updates. A lot of us say we can’t wait but we really can if all we’ll be given instead is 75% effort. Believe in you Ubisoft, you got this!

Don’t like the control system

I downloaded the game and was willing to purchase it at the discounted intro rate of $25 to support good games on the iPad .. I just don’t like the control system.. trying to move and then perform the other functions while the screen is moving and not being in a true fixed position was difficult , hard to run away when you are facing one way and moving a different way
I thought my Xbox controller would help but after connecting it , it would not do anything (maybe I needed to purchase the game )
I wasn’t willing to spend the money now because I can’t play the game to enjoy it

Game keeps randomly crashing sometimes it’s choppy running around outdoors.

I’m playing on a 512gb m4 iPad Pro (newest model). Started playing around 11:45 pm ET game has crashed about 8 times since then out to the Home Screen of iPadOS . Crashed walking around the city, talking to people, in missions which is super annoying, and in story scenes. Even tried rebooting my iPad but it crashed in a mission where I had to get a key from a soldier for a door. I’m trying a reinstall to see if that works. I’m playing on medium graphics quality the default. I hope there will be a patch soon to fix this I’m kinda glad I got it for the 50% off and not $50 I would have been really upset.

Glitchy upon release.

Very glitchy. Game crashes on me randomly. I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max. If this isn’t enough horsepower to run the game on medium graphic settings then I will need to wait till the next release or a few updates to smooth wrinkles out. I guess sometimes you can’t beat a console. I will give it 3 stars. Everything is good ol’ Assassins Creed like we all remember. Hopefully it does the franchise justice by being on iOS.

Great to game on the M4 iPad but…crashes!

This game plays beautifully on my brand new iPad Pro M4 with the Xbox controller but unfortunately it crashes between every cut scenes. That is roughly every 6-12 mins.

Since the game has auto save, you don’t lose a lot of unsaved gameplay but it’s still super annoying ! I’m sure it’s going to be fixed in a future update but that can’t come any quicker !!!

Also, it’s a game that would be even better on the Mac but for some reason it’s not available on that platform yet. Anyway that would mean I would need a new Mac if the M4 is the bare requirement :(

Nice to see AAA title on iPad

Fun game, I haven’t had any issues. Works great with PS4 controller. Graphics under highest setting still look dated to my eyes, but that doesn’t take away from the game play.

BTW: the older SteelSeries Nimbus won’t work with this game, which senses it as an X-Box controller, and there’s no dedicated menu button, which means you won’t be able to save the game at all with that controller. I suspect the Nimbus+, with more dedicated buttons, fixes this.

80% there, great start

It’s fantastic to see AAA games on iOS and the game looks gorgeous! Having said that why is it locked to a 16:9 aspect ratio? We have beautiful displays on iPads and iPhones, what are you forcing letterboxing? The PC version of the game supports multiple aspect rations so I am left scratching my head why go for a subpar experience here. Again though, great to see but I’ll wait for the aspect ratio to be fixed before buying the game. Until then other AAA games (like Death Stranding) that fully utilise the device it runs on is a better buy.

Best mobile port ever

This is easily the best one yet. Graphics are of course a bit blurry and potato mode, but the picture is overall great, looking insane on 15 Pro. All in-game controls and interactions are completely remade for touch controls - something Capcom and Kojima Productions didn't bother to put any effort into. Framerate is smooth on medium graphics preset, it's just stunningly comfortable to play. Though some shader compiling lag spikes happen sometimes. But remember this is a heavy 2023 game on a phone.
Honestly this is just 10/10, I didn't expect it to be that good. Finally Ubisoft has done something enjoyable and not disappointing.

GREAT GAME! but there are some things…

So far mirage was well made for mobile platform and ima be honest, this game all around goes well and controls are hard to get used to but once you do, its not bad. I wish they implemented more in this game and same goes for console! They need to add like extensions to this game after beating it cause there isn’t much to do after beating it unlessss you play New game+! But there ain’t much loot to grind after obtaining everything in game, like have a farming system or something to make it more grind worthy and worth the time to obtain more items as well. Wish they did more for it to make it stand out more as well. But for a mobile game HIGHLY SUGGEST only if your PHONE can handle a game like this! IT DOES CRASH SOMETIMES and it bothers me so save your game consistently to prevent loss data. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

💯

The Assassin's Creed game is truly remarkable, and when played on the iPhone 15 Pro, it delivers an exceptionally smooth experience. This is largely due to the iPhone 15 Pro's powerful A17 Pro chip, which is optimized for high-performance gaming, including AAA titles. The device's 8GB of RAM and advanced thermal management further enhance its ability to handle graphically intense games with ease.
However, if you encounter issues such as crashing or freezing, it's important to close any background applications and clear your Safari web browser, as these can consume significant amounts of RAM, impacting the game's performance.

Additionally, you may notice occasional freezing, which occurs because the game is saving your last play, a process that briefly requires additional system resources. By managing your device's resources effectively, you can ensure a seamless gaming experience on the iPhone 15 Pro.

Muy bien echo el juego 10/10

PLEASE devs, port MORE AAA games!

As a person who is always on the go, I appreciate mobile gaming as much as I love my console games and PC games. I really love playing this on my iPhone 15 PM and on my iPad Pro M4. Even though the performance isn’t perfect on high settings, it is still amazing that it is running on something as small as my iPhone or as this as my iPad. I use a backbone and a Xbox controller, and love playing this on my tv using my iPad. I hope more people give this game a shot, so we can get more AAA games natively on iOS.

But PLEASE next time, bring games to iOS/ipad THE SAME DAY, I’m having a hard time convincing my friends to get it on their iPad because they already got it on pc/console. So for future releases, like AC:SHADOW please release on all platforms same day- it would help mobile sales

Amazing game for iPhone!!!

Optimization is super, level loading is very very fast, graphics at maximum settings are excellent, resolution is a bit low, but anti-aliasing works very well! Controls are very convenient if you customize it for yourself. Battery doesn't drain quickly while playing.
The game itself is simply great!!! I don't like the Assasins Creed series (except for Unity), but this game is similar to my favorite Splinter Cell Blacklist. Great emphasis on stealth, excellent level design, interesting stories in quests, the combat system (for a phone) is excellent, the open world is simply amazingly laid out, excellent animations and much more!!! The main plot is uninteresting and primitive, but this time it’s forgivable.
Amazing game, amazing optimization! This is a miracle! Thank you Ubisoft and Apple for such a wonderful experience!

Gives hope to iPad futures

What a great port! Looks great with very few frame issues. I know I’m the perfect case for this game - only have a Switch for a console and this iPad is better than my computer - but this is giving me high hopes for future iPad gaming. I know sales have been very low for all the big AAA titles that came this year, but I hope the push can be made to keep them coming. No need for a Steam Deck when I can use the same device I use for projects. It’s portable with a decent battery life, and I can seamlessly use my Switch Pro Controller. I’m definitely day 1 for the next AC if they bring it here!

Exceed Expectations

I’ve always been a fan of assassin franchise so I was very surprised when this came out. I downloaded it immediately after going through the free portion seeing all the graphics and how the game runs I decided it was worth the buy and boy I tell you what amazing beautiful game this is I can’t stop thinking about it. Yes on some systems the game does crash here and there, but it is definitely worth restarting game an getting back into the fun.

This is awesome!

Other than the fact that my iPad is on FIRE, I had a really good time playing this game lol definitely should add some more settings for users that have a low end device but yeah other than that I had a blast!

Great Port!

45 minutes into the game and I’m blown away. Playing on M1 iPad Pro 12.9 2TB. Runs flawlessly at high graphics. Can’t wait for more like this. I have read on forums that the new M4 iPad Pro crashes not just on this game but on many different apps. Games, productivity apps etc. M4 is an Apple issue that needs to be addressed by Apple. I have had zero issues with crashing, no stuttering and just plain amazement of the port.

Great could use an update

Not sure if anyone else is running into this problem but using a ps4 controller and my triggers aren’t doing anything. Also ran into 4 crash’s within the first 2-3 hours of playing (Edit after 10hs) Borrowed my friends controller that works. My controller works on other games so guessing compatibility issues (original ps4 controller) As for the game best AC I’ve played since unity or if not the first. The vibes great. Parkour needs work and would like to see a kill combo back (hit attack when your attack lands and you enter into a kill animation) havnt seen it since the first ac. I like the glass cannon idea couple hits your dead but if your doing everything right you should meow through guys. All in all hats off to the developers. Thank you! Still a tone of crash’s but feel it’s more of an issue with higher ups making this an always online game. Again thanks guys great job all around! Whoever made this should be put in charge of the whole franchise

Also keep the bird. Don’t care if it doesn’t make sense sometimes just fun to fly around and look at stuff.

I play with no hud so it does help me thank you!

The future…maybe?

Five stars for a game truly deserving of it. This is an absolute ACHIEVEMENT on iPadOS.

The 11” iPad Pro M2 runs this like a champ. I had no idea what to really expect, and I can tell you that I didn’t expect a full cross-platform cloud save to load up and drop me right where I left off on my PC save. I sat there blown away on an airplane mid flight, continuing my save and character’s journey.

There are some things to take as a given. First, this is going to have a lower frame rate and lower texture resolution than the PC or Console version of the game. Does it need to? Probably! Do I mind it? Nope!

A lot of the reviews on this game are going to tell you “it doesn’t run well”. It does when you consider that is a a full mobile port of a full fledge AAA game. Again, this is an achievement and I can’t wait for more games like this to pickup and play cross-platform cloud save as I move from desk to couch to on the go.

Keeping it simple!

I’ve been playing Assassin Creed since day one… all I can say is I’m so happy I can experience probably one of the best Assassin Creed since Brotherhood (Not counting AC2) on iOS… of course I expect it have its port flaws but it’s a beautiful game and my backbone makes it a breeze to play. Thank you for nailing it!

Great Game

I’ve been a long time fan of the Assassin Creed series and when I saw this was coming to IOS and iPadOS I immediately picked it up to say thank you to Ubisoft for brining this to mobile and not making it free to play. I really do not understand all the 1, 2, and 3 star reviews. I feel like nobody knows what they want. I’ve been playing this game for about 3 hours continuously on an iPad Pro M2 12.9 and it runs great! I didn’t play it day 1 so maybe there was a patch between then and now because I haven’t experienced any of the issues other reviewers are complaining about. I’ve had smooth game play with zero crashes or lockups.

I prefer to play with a controller whether on my iPhone or iPad so I can’t speak much to the touch controls. Controller experience has been good with button presses being responsive. I’m running the game with graphics set to high and the game runs smooth. I’ve only noticed my iPad get warm but not burning hot. I’ve noticed a few frame dips when sprinting through populated areas as expected but nothing that affects game play. There has been a few stutters around auto saves but this seems far and few between. Overall the graphics look great for mobile and I applaud Ubisoft on a job well done. I look forward to continued performance tweaks and game content updates.

Phenomenal Achievement!

This is an outstanding Assassin’s Creed game truly worthy of a console. The game is completely playable with touch controls, unlike many other console quality iPhone games. The game runs smoothly (high graphics setting iPhone 15 Pro Max) and only crashed once. The only issue is the “unable to connect to the Internet” error that pops up about 90% of the time. This makes it difficult to connect Ubisoft account and make DLC purchases, but it doesn’t affect game play (once you get past the initial connection error on the first screen). I’ve been playing for hours with “no connection” since then.

Surprisingly great

I’ve seen a lot of games get ported over to iOS. Most of them don’t work well or at all without a controller and this is the first game I’ve played where you actually don’t need a controller to play. I’ve been a die hard fan of the AC series since AC2 and even played the mobile version a very long time ago on the iPhone 4. Ubisoft has outdone themselves on this one and had delivered a great game. I hope to see future titles come like Ac origins and many others in the future.

Thanks for making a year old AAA port on iOS

Great game. This would be actually my first game in assassins creed saga. Was not interested in them before, but as we don’t have much options on iOS - why not. So far - first hour - I like it. The first issue I have noticed - cross saves started to work for me only after I have purchased the game. Before that I could not see saves from my iPad on iPhone. Games runs perfectly on iPad Pro M4 11 on High. It is ok on iPhone 15 Pro, phone is getting hot, more stable on Low settings.

Really wish they would allow this game also on macOS. Seems like they can at least allow iPad version on macOS.

Stunning

Very impressed it’s the full game and not a spin off or any content taken out also very impressed with the graphics the easy movement and the giant map, all this with a very small price tag, this is not like your average mobile game so price is well worth it. Coming from pc to this yes graphics are way lower but it’s the full game in your pocket. Ubisoft please do this for the other older games I’m sure older games would be even easier as the maps are smaller and graphics aren’t as good with old games. You know like possibly AC4 black flag the spin off for mobile was so fun but the game was abandon and unplayable now.

Great start to AAA

We are now playing AAA games on iPhone. That is such an achievement!! Yeah you can get a better experience on an M series apple device, but to be able to play this game anywhere on the go so incredible. The graphics are great and the game at this time of writing only slowed down once. I never had any slow down when in combat. I can’t game for hours on end anymore so this is perfect for me. I hope more games come out for IPhone this is providing a great service to people like me who don’t want to play Nintendo games or hold a big bulky handheld device.
