🏷️ About:
Create unique invitations and bring people together for life’s most exciting moments. Customize the background of your invitation with a photo from your library, or choose an emoji background to bring your event to life.
My wife clicked on my shared link and saw just a black blank screen. Not even an offer to install AppleInvites , just a black screen. Nice work, guys. OK. Next, I told her to install AppleInvites. She saw an invitation. I approved, and… nothing happened. She still sees an empty app without any approved invites from my side. So the main and the only feature of AppleInvites isn’t even working. Great job, Apple! 😅
Why

Another pointless, separately branded feature that could be a blip in Messages. Not making that into a cross platform super app after decades, and doing stuff like this instead, is such an L. Multi-trillion dollar evaluation lol.
Requires iCloud+

As I look to reduce my reliance on Facebook, AppleInvites is a welcome surprise!
Unfortunately to send any invites, you need a paid iCloud+ plan. Pretty disappointing that Apple can’t subsidize this, so I’ll likely continue using other competitors.
Good First Attempt, Needs Enhancements

Needs the following abilities:
Add multiple locations and times for a single event, allow tagging and categorization of locations such as hotel, event, restaurant
This is a good idea. Been using it for literally a couple minutes. I made a fun little movie night invite with some friends. It seems to work…kinda. It prompts you with AppleInvites download when you click the invite. I wish it could just send you to an online invite so people who don’t have AppleInvites don’t need to download it just to use it once. Overall though, it’s an easy to use app and very very simple. Not bad
Needs an iPad & Vision Pro app versions

I would never use AppleInvites on an iPhone. Maybe on my iPad or Vision Pro. I look forward to using the integrated Apple Intelligence and to see how this may evolve.
Strange ties to iCloud+

this is strange to me...I feel this could have been an add-on to the Calendars app. When creating an Event, if could just ask "would you like to create an invitation?" and then proceed to do what AppleInvites does.'
Maybe this creates bloat to a streamlined app, maybe some wouldn't need this and would never "waste" space on their phone for it...now to take it one step further besides downloading ANOTHER app, I can only CREATE an invite as a subscriber to Apple iCloud+...ridiculous.
that said, I downloaded it and started to create a test event. AppleInvites has great features for location with map, weather info...Music and Photos capabilities (perhaps this is why it is tied to iCould+but can't you JUST have iCloud+ for storage and not Music?)
We have family get-togethers and everyone now has an iPhone so this could be really nice. BUT, only our family has iCloud+ so, it only really works for the parties at OUR house. Bummer Apple, Bummer.
Pretty good app

it works pretty well
Could it be in calendar?

Would have loved to have seen this functionality plugged into the calendar invites feature as opposed to its own app, but otherwise very useful for family events
Great competitor with likely better data privacy. Please add the ability for the host to add persistent notes.
Sign up sheet

AppleInvites seems great! Would like to see the option to add a list of needed things for invitees to sign up for. This could be used for a potluck style event or if volunteers are needed to help during the event.
Amazing!

Application it’s pretty amazing pretty quick and you can customize it. However, you want it. Let’s go to future homes and then let’s make AppleInvites great again.
Finally an app to it all! But…

I wish I could invite using my phone number, not my Apple ID email.
What to bring
2025-02-06
by Rjpro12
Excellent start but we need a what to bring section for planning.
I’m hoping this gets really popular really quickly. I get a lot of invites from annoying websites that try to get users to signup for this or that deal in order to rsvp for an event.
Has Potential!

Not sure why this wasn’t announced by Apple, great potential app for events without having to use a meta based app… My only complaint / suggestion would be to add a discussion wall for people to comment?
Great App, Needs Chatting feed.

App is great! Long time coming for something like this. My only suggestion would be to add a chatting feature within the event so individuals going on the trip can chat with each other.
Love it

AppleInvites is perfect exactly what is needed only thing I would add if there was a way to automatically integrate the calendar through that app to where it automatically goes to your calendar when events are created it would work out even better
This UI is great.
