heavy use and reliance on AI. could be great, but i know zero spanish. the lessons just make you do a single word and then breezes over it… not helpful in the slightest. sigh. good think i got the lifetime for free.

Every few words has either a wrong definition or wrong example. I strongly suspect it’s because they’re only using AI to cone up with the “fill in the blank” words and their definitions, and leaving it up to the users to let them know what needs correcting. It’s super frustrating.

Also, AISpanishLearning just goes right back to the home page every minute or so, more and more often the more you use AISpanishLearning . When you return to what you were doing, you’re not doing the same thing/your progress is gone. I had to type my sentences to the AI really fast before it took me back to the homepage. The spelling thing alone was annoying, but this glitch destroyed the usability of AISpanishLearning causing me to cancel.

Lastly, the conversation tool with the AI was good, but I wish there was an option to speak with a Latin American AI, as that’s the version of Spanish I’m trying to learn. It was a little bit tiring being asked over and over about Spain.

I hope that this will be an interim review because I don’t think that Fluency will prove to be a 1 (One) Star app—indeed I think it’ll earn high marks from me. First, though, developers have to resolve my free lifetime subscription issue. Succinctly, I see absolutely no way of getting that free lifetime subscription as you advertise. Next, I have tried repeatedly to send you a message using your in-app customer support form. Frustrating and disappointing experience, as its been impossible to send you the message. I repeatedly get an error message. Finally, and supremely disappointing is the fact that (given my experience so far) I can not in good conscience recommend your Fluency to scores of potential subscribers. I will not recommend to anyone an app that’s being advertised as free but which apparently is not.

Earn my revised review by: 1) helping me get the advertised free lifetime subscription; 2) extend or reinstate your free lifetime subscription offer (and let me know its dates so that I can spread the word to the scores of potential new subscribers within my sphere); and 3) fix your customer service generally and the functioning of your in-app contact form specifically. Do so and you will see the effort I’m exerting to write this (hopefully interim) review multiplied tenfold to revise this review.

Customer support does not work from AISpanishLearning . I did the first vocabulary lesson where you type in a word once to learn it, but after you type the words in only one time the lesson ends and you cannot go back to actually learn the words. I tried to contact support but only got an error message.

Tried to contact support - got this:

Oops! Something went wrong when submitting the form.

Went to App Store, hoping to find an actual email address - nope, it directed me to the same website where I got the same message.

I would like to be able to revisit the reading comprehension tests again, to see if after a while I am understanding more of a particular story. I am VERY disappointed that there is no way to do so.

There is no way to go further from the payment screen or it’s just invisible. Get your one star with it😊

Content seems ok, but I can’t get past the first lesson because the conversation tab won’t advance despite me using all the words it wants me to. Oh well.

This does look like a great app overall, but I’ve already run into a problem on my first day using it and I fear it will just continue making the experience very frustrating.

I just completed all the activities for my first day, but for some inexplicable reason, despite the fact that I did everything I was supposed to do, the conversation task is not marked as completed. And as a result, the entire day is incomplete. How can I fix that? I tried to contact the developer via their website but apparently their contact form doesn’t work either. Not happy.

I signed up for the free trial. I sent the developer a question via website never got a response. I wanted to know if this was Latin American/South American Spanish or European Spanish. Canceled free trial and deleted since I never got an answer. I only mentioned this because I seen a couple of other reviews relating the same problem. Otherwise AISpanishLearning looks pretty good and the price of a subscription wasn’t bad.

Love your app and its integration of AI to spice up up an online language learning experience. I am giving this 4 stars as the “Improve Conversation Skills” appears to be bugged; on day 2, this section does not give me criteria to meet that will “complete” that objective for the day, so it is stuck as being incomplete, which causes AISpanishLearning to say I have not completed my education for the day. If this can be addressed/fixed, I will change my review to 5 stars.

Additionally, the support section of your website is not allowing me to submit anything, including a description of that issue.

I do have another small suggestion. The “ask me anything” tab should include the “tap to translate” and “assess my response” features which are present in the “improve conversation” section. I am letting people know about AISpanishLearning, would love to see this take off.

I love requesting features and then seeing them in AISpanishLearning the next week. Fluency is quickly becoming my favorite language learning app.

Really enjoy using over the other language learning app

I recently downloaded Fluency to reignite my past (failed) attempts at learning Spanish. I was extremely impressed with its ability to meet users exactly where they are in their language learning journey. I downloaded fluency a few weeks ago and it has improved my Spanish immensely. I love talking with Nadia she is so friendly and fun. I reached out to customer service to give them some feature ideas and I heard back from the owner who was extremely responsive and friendly. Not sure what the rest of the reviews are talking about. Customer service goes above and beyond.

I used DuoLingo to try and learn spanish before attending a VERY important business meeting in Mexico City. What a mistake!!! I was hoping to impress the client with simple small talk, but Duo Lingo didn’t get me farther than the biblioteca. Finally, after a ton of research, I found fluency. It’s real - it works- and the space repetition algorithm improved my vocab with USEFUL words for small talk. I came back to Mexico City this week and tried some of my fluency learnings on one of my clients - he said I sounded like a natural. Thanks Fluency!!!!!

Love AISpanishLearning - can’t get enough!

I just turned 73 - and with fluency I’ve discovered even old dogs can learn new tricks! My daughter convinced me to try an app to learn Spanish, which I’ve always wanted to learn. Before fluency, I could only say poquito… now, mucho mas!

I’ve been trying to learn Spanish for awhile now but haven’t had success with duolingo - I never felt like I was improving my real world conversation skills. A friend recommended Fluency and I’ve been hooked ever since! AISpanishLearning is intuitive, engaging and makes me feel confident when practicing in person. Highly recommend.

I have been using the Fluency app for a short time and find it to be a well-designed language learning tool. That said, I have already come across a few errors that are almost certainly the result of rushing AISpanishLearning into completion. None of these are serious, but they are still distracting—for example, it is occasionally necessary to type an incorrect response in the vocabulary portion in order to advance to the next question. I’ve tried to share my findings with the developer, but every attempt has terminated with the following message: “Oops! Something went wrong while submitting the form.” I can almost hear a sad trombone playing in the background.

The best part of AISpanishLearning for me is Nadia, the AI language professor. It is difficult to believe that she is not a real person. Her responses to my gibberish-Spanish are encouraging and helpful. The most difficult part of learning a language is the first conversations with native speakers. It is excellent practice (and a confidence builder) to talk—or write—to Nadia about any subject you care to discuss. We banged on about Spanish language movies yesterday for nearly an hour.

AISpanishLearning has speaking, reading, writing and listening covered and my vocabulary is growing by the day. The experience is close to one-on-one learning and will undoubtedly advance rapidly over time. I would encourage anyone who wants to improve their Spanish skills to take advantage of a Fluency app trial offer. And tell Nadia “Hola” for me.
