App took 9.99 charge and kept freezing up before it will even let me finish making an account. Freezes up everytime you try and open it. Says invalid email if I try that route as well. Simply doesn’t work! Hopefully can cancel - looks like may be a scam to get 9.99/month in perpetuity.

The interphase on SmartFishingSpots is way to unique and simply put yall are doing way too much. I like the idea to have all these features but for SmartFishingSpots …. But it continuously just keeps crashing every time I try to utilize one of the features. I have a salt strong membership and I’m going to cancel it just because how poorly SmartFishingSpots is. You guys really need to reconsider SmartFishingSpots and the interface and all the features it has because half of them don’t work…. Very frustrating. If you plan on spending money to use SmartFishingSpots…. Save yourself the time and hassle don’t do it. Common sense and navionics gives me more spots than I could ever use. A smiley google ride search and I’m ready to fish. I could do all of that before SmartFishingSpots even loads up.

Yall need to go back to the drawing board or get a better server because SmartFishingSpots does not work at all. False advertising and just false hope. DO NOT BUY SmartFishingSpots.

SmartFishingSpots has a long way to go before it’s useful for anglers outside of Florida. If you’re not in FL, you’ll probably want to keep using apps like Navionics.

The layers (only 3 of them) have very shallow uses and the ‘smart spots’ function is only available for FL and southern states. If you use SmartFishingSpots on desktop you’ll note a lot of features are missing on this mobile version. Overall UX isn’t great.

Salt strong deserves kudos for trying to innovate in an industry as stuck in the past as fishing, but there is huge untapped potential here.

I know my area front and back we are loaded with sea grass, SmartFishingSpots shows little areas and hardly any our oyster bars. It shows same place that is best fishing spot. App needs work in steinhatche

I tried signing up after downloading SmartFishingSpots , I put in my information and the loading circle just spins and spins, I tried multiple times and it never loaded. I even tried redownloading SmartFishingSpots .

Works well before you leave but once you are on a trip good luck. It reloads every 15 minutes which isn’t helpful in the middle of nowhere with zero service, especially when you may rely on the marine charts with gps which works regardless of service. If there were downloadable areas for the maps on offline mode that work in conjunction with GPS services it would be 5 stars.

I’ve done away with multiple apps for fishing as this one has everything I need! Not to mention how it shows exact hotspots to fish based on seasons and other variables. 10/10!

As an inshore saltwater fisherman, I am a huge fan of using satellite maps for finding good spots. The map layers in this system are by far the best I have ever seen since it has 3+ sat images for any given spot, and also even has oyster and seagrass layers to help find hidden structure. If you like inshore saltwater fishing, you’re going to love SmartFishingSpots!

I used to have to check the wind patterns water temperature and weather and put together in my head what would be a good time to fish until i started using smart spots a few years ago. SmartFishingSpots conveniently puts all the information you'd ever need in one place as well as doing all the thinking for you. Not to mention it helps you to find oyster beds and grass flats as well as other hot spots. Definitely a great app.

I have been using the web-based Smart Fishing Spots app for over a year and am happy to finally get the native app. SmartFishingSpots has tons of great information to help you locate fish and understand the best times to fish. The tide charts are easy and convenient to access. Multiple satellite imagery options ensure accurate visuals of the area, and the shaded relief layer provides another view with even more intel. The oyster bars layer is a game-changer for the area I primarily fish. Having this information not only helps me locate spots for fishing, but also keeps my boat and prop safe!

I fish nearshore and I love the shaded relief / bottom mapping layers so I can find ledges and structure. It has artificial reefs conveniently marked as well. Best tide chart I’ve found that shows you weather (wind, wind direction and temps) combined with the tide chart so you can really get an idea of how the day will pan out in conjunction with the tides.

Smart Spots makes it a no-brainer to help me put my kids on fish without putting a lot of time into planning or figuring out where to go. I know I can check the smart spots map prior to heading out on my computer and then while on the water I can pull up SmartFishingSpots to see which area to fish so my kids can experience some tight lines!

Cool thing with the membership is I also get discounts on my tackle and shipping is crazy/amazon fast.

I’ve been a salt strong member for about a year now. SmartFishingSpots recently came out and it’s great! It has great information on where and when to fish. It is by far better than most competitors.

Whether you are new to fishing, or an advanced angler! Salt strong has knocked it out of the park on this one! Smart spots used to be a web app. However, they have since upped their game and made it an app! SmartFishingSpots is an all in one, one stop shop for slapping up on the fish! Look for the spot you want to fish on any given day, and it will show you the weather, as well as tides, all while still showing you the spot in particular you want to fish! I’ve been saltwater fishing for most of my life but still find the Smart Fishing app extremely helpful when fishing new areas. The 1ft contours layer is great for finding deep holes and ledges. And the artificial reefs layer has more spots than my GPS. The new weather features mean I don’t have to keep switching to another app to stay updated on conditions. Great app for new and experienced anglers. Highly recommend!

From pre-trip planning to making adjustments on the water, the Smart Fishing Spots app is incredibly helpful for finding fish quicker.

The combination of Smart Spots and other layers you can toggle on make picking spots easy. Once I decide on an area to fish, I can kick on the oyster, seagrass, and 1-ft contour layers to dial in the best spots and eliminate a ton of the time I used to spend in non-productive areas.

Targeting deeper areas, the artificial reef and shaded relief layers help me identify structures that I otherwise wouldn’t know were there.

Plus, there are features built in that I can’t get on even the most advanced fish finders like kayak launch spots, public lands, and weather with vector and lightning indicators.

It’s the must-have fishing app inshore anglers need, and it continues to get regular updates that add to its capabilities!

I have been using the previous web version of Smart Fishing Spots consistently. SmartFishingSpots is a big improvement, the new interface is a lot quicker and cleaner to navigate when I’m on my kayak. I’m a fairly seasoned angler and find SmartFishingSpots particularly helpful when trying to fish new areas. I moved to the west coast of FL and struggled finding new spots. Once I found a decent one, I just went there every trip with mixed results. Now I can fish new spots every weekend based on where SmartFishingSpots says will be productive.
