make sure premium data available for your waters before subscribing

After reading the list of premium features and checking out the prices, I opted for a 1-year subscription to save money. Big mistake! It turns out most lakes and some entire states have no premium data to speak of. Company very kindly helped me get a refund, because I live in Colorado, and the lakes I’m interested in have no premium content at all. It’s pretty hard to figure out how to request a refund for a subscription on Fishidy store, unfortunately, but this app app team went out of their way to guide me through the process. While attempting to download nonexistent premium data, I also encountered a really hard-to-use interface for outlining a region on a map to download the nonexistent data. Some ESRI feature or other. They really need to get rid of that—especially if there’s no data there to begin with. I hope they can improve these things, because I would love an app that does what this does in my area.

Improved with new updates but still room for more

this app isn’t a bad service. It definitely needed some polish and got some with the new updates. However, there are still some bugs to work out. Additionally, I’d like to see more improvements for uploading photos and adding more information. I’d love for this app to have a fish log which tracks data that I enter. Based on my previous years worth of data, it could help me plan my tournaments.

Also when logging fish, how about a total weight or multiple species entry? If I’m holding a smallmouth and largemouth in the same pic, I can’t enter as both or a collective weight.

I still love this app and you should try it out. It’s like FB for fisherman.

Map pop up

I love App., but with this latest update the map pop up for your waterways has disappeared. Before when I opened my waterway location I was able to load my caught site right away. Now I have to navigate the map across the state every time I want to load in a catch. It’s pretty annoying, I’m I just missing something I hope. Any feed back would be much appreciated!

Has promise but needs improvement

I downloaded the basic app and then upgraded to premium on the monthly rate. It has great promise but needs more members who contribute information. Maybe just my area but very few catches reported. Suggest maybe they incentivize fishing guides to report their client’s catch by letting them advertise their services. Also I’m sure information will get better with time.
I’m canceling my subscription for now and will check it out again in about six months. I hope they make it happen because the potential is so good.

Free app not helpful

Results may be better for lakes near you, especially if you pay for the premium version.

I can get maps and aerial views on many apps. What I wanted was contour maps for New Melones reservoir because the lake level varies by hundreds of feet. I want to evaluate the areas with bank access at different seasons. Fishidy doesn’t have the contour as shown in Fishidy Store pictures, or even overlay roads for easier navigation.

There are some catches marked, but that doesn’t do me any good, since I don’t have a boat to get to the marked areas.

Can’t even log in

I saw an add, downloaded Fishidy and went to sign up for an account and it said my email was already in use. So I figured I might have signed up before and deleted Fishidy and forgot all about it. I went to sign in and it wouldn’t let me and said my email wasn’t recognized. I couldn’t recover a password because there was no account with that email. Went back and tried to sign up for a new account and it said email was already being used. Tried several times with Facebook and that didn’t work either 🤷‍♀️

Love it!

I’ve tried a few different Fishing apps, but not only is this app the most user friendly, but I also love the maps too!
Glad me and my friends are on it!

Love it!

I absolutely love my this app app. I have the premium service and utilize it to prepare my fishing trips to bodies of water that I have not went to before, as well as bodies of water is that I have, when I am searching for new places to target. You get fishing hotspots, mapped underwater structures, date and species filters, advance fishing forecasts, and more! You just can't beat it. this app is the best.

Valuable fishing app.

I have enjoyed my this app Premium app. Tons of valuable information and waterway mapping. The anglers that make up the this app community are from all over the world and are very helpful with tips , techniques and local information. You can correspond with anyone from the weekend angler to professional Captains and guides. Blue Marlin to Bluegill. this app has it all.

Improvement needed

App works well if you use the map and look at the body of water you want to fish but the apps feed does not show current updates. Usually a couple years old info and pics while the waterway will have current updates, if they fixed that I would have rated it much higher!

Needs Help

The idea of Fishidy is great, but it needs a lot of help.
-Set the depth of water your fish was caught in Fishidy at 48 inches, and the web version will show 48 feet.
-It took me logging in to the web version for me to be able to edit my catch location. I couldn’t do it from Fishidy no matter how much I tried.
-Under bait types, there aren’t any natural types such as wax worms or night crawlers.
-There should be a way that users can add public boat landing locations with the purple icon. So many are missing or in that wrong spots in northern Wisconsin.
-It’s a great idea, but like I said, needs a lot of work. Especially with differences between Fishidy and web interfaces.

Worst attempt ever!

Absolutely terrible app. Save your money and don’t get hooked by their baiting you in. $10 for a months use was a joke.... unless you don’t mind waiting 1-3 minutes for “catch info” to pull up once you tap the icon to view what was noted at a certain spot. And there’s NOTHING current (last 5 years) on the most popular lakes in Oklahoma. Go figure! Obviously why they only have one rating and it was a 5 star. No doubt it was made by a company representative.

Great app

But be really honest, would the fisherman/woman really give away the secret spots....they would help you with tips to become a better fisherman/woman though.
I’m someone that likes to share, many others in this world of fishermen and women are as well, it’s a good thing.

No guest sign in

As soon as I saw that there was no option to sign in as a guest I deleted it. I don’t want to sign up for yet another thing if I don’t even know if it’s something I’ll like. If I sign in and see that I like it I’ll gladly create and account. Furthermore I hate subscriptions. Not sure if they have an option for one time purchase but they do have the subscription to unlock features. Not for me.

By

Can’t Cancel Subscription

Ridiculous that one can’t simply cancel a subscription, obvious the developer wants it that way. Click on cancel/manage subscription and it takes you to a link where you have to enter a different password. I did that and it states “unconfirmed subscription”, click to confirm but nothing about canceling subscription. Absolutely ridiculous and for this reason I’ll never use this app again.

Practical fishing app

I got Fishidy for a large lake near my house because I had no idea how or where to fish it. Turns out to be way more useful than I thought and soon got the premium version.

Just Okay

This is nothing to ride home on but it can be entertaining to see what’s going on where. Hot Spots are neat to review and again entertaining but the feature I enjoy most are depth contours and structure points. Doesn’t show them on all lakes but majority has them. It’s a fair app.

Great App! Love the features!

I have nothing but great things to say about this app. I’d recommend it to EVERYONE who is serious about fishing. I received great help from customer support whenever I had questions. Grand Slam!

Contours won’t load with countless other things

Down loaded Fishidy with my brand new iPhone 13 full service and on WiFi and Fishidy doesn’t load anything but vegetation. Feel scammed and used for someone to make a buck of a avid outdoorsman paying to gain more knowledge of the lakes he fishes.

Terrible

Can’t figure out how to research a new lake , trying to post a pic , on bragging board , can’t , the entire thing is above my head

By

Messed up

Use to love Fishidy till it won’t let me report any errors, show me the contour lines or let me manage my subscription. Hoping it can be fixed.

Worthwhile Information

I highly recommend this app. I think it is great to exchange information and see people’s catches on lakes/rivers I’m interested in. It is a very easy app to use as well.

Was much better prior to the update.

I am about ready to delete Fishidy . I liked it up to about a week ago. Now, however, my photos of my catches are not showing up. Also, the story is being deleted by Fishidy . Sometimes the story is found in the ‘bait used’ section. I do not recommend Fishidy. Wait till the bugs are worked out.

What waterways so you offer premium coverage for in Colorado?

On the Weather tab, lunar rise and set information appears to be sunrise/sunset times.
