I am changing my previous 1 star review back to 5 stars after the latest update. I’m glad I didn’t delete FishingSpots and never look back after FishingSpots got new ownership, because it is back to the functional app that I originally loved since they brought back the map feature to show where fish are being caught. That’s the only reason I used FishingSpots so much in the past anyways!! Thanks for the update!!!

There are several things I like about FishingSpots! First there’s a social networking feature that enables anglers to network globally! Second, there’s a forecast feature that can give an angler about fishing conditions. Finally, photos of an angler’s favorite fishing spots and recent fish caught can be uploaded and viewed by other anglers as well. In addition, there are other nice features!

I have been having a blast with FishingSpots! It’s really great for following others who are like minded and local - all the way out to people around the world. I rely on the fishing forecast features, and the ability to document and log your catches is top notch. I feel like I’m getting to know others because of their active feeds and catch logs. There is no downside...A+!

FishingSpots is a really great app. You can actually see what’s going on in your area. Where the other 1 you have to pay to use certain applications. I enjoy the fact u can see the weather and if someone that fishes the same spots you do to see if the spots dried up or even see what the have caught in that area.

This is app is very great and useful. There’s many ways in which FishingSpots can help someone and more people should know about it. Many people want this but don’t know it exists. I conclude the makers of FishingSpots should sought more advertising and marketing, so others can find FishingSpots as well as have more people interacting on FishingSpots -thank you

This update blows. Primarily got FishingSpots just to have something easy to open to get best fishing times. This is way too unnecessarily complicated with all the personal information that's requested to just register and open FishingSpots . I'm surprised it doesn't ask for my favorite food and color.

Nothing is intuitive about this update at all. I don't want to see a feed of people 1,000 miles from where I am once I finally open FishingSpots . Just a map and what's getting caught near me with best fishing times.

For these reasons, I'm deleting this one. Sometimes simple is better.

Uhhhhh did I miss something? First they charge me for the full app without asking, then they update the thing and it's a completely different app. Now it's some crappy social media. I'm seeing fish people are catching in Oregon and I live in Texas and could care less than you could imagine what fisherman are doing up there. I can't even see the map anymore, which was the only useful part of this dumb overpriced thing. And I'm plagued with picture of fish species that don't even exist within 500 miles of me. Possibly the worst 6$ I accidentally spent ever. More like stolen from me. Terrible.

I’m pretty sure I’ve used every fishing app out there just about and this is b far the best. I have no idea why this isn’t the top leading app of its kind as far as users but still plenty to keep in touch with the local fishing community. Easy to use and get the hang of in just minutes. 10/10 super dope super awesome y’all have fun yeeyee

You need to create a way to message another person using FishingSpots without posting a picture etc. Like if you want to message another person but you don’t have there phone number to send them a text message. 👍🏻🎣

There’s only one thing I hate. It’s when they show me the same picture every single time I open FishingSpots . It’s never different. It even says “Staff Pick.” Well I don’t care what they pick!! It’s been 2 weeks!!!! Y’all don’t have ANY OTHER PICKS!? Lame. I ended up having to block that particular user. Now I can’t see anything he does. But I can see EVERYONE ELSE FINALLY!!! *rolls eyes*

It’s great to be able to connect with other anglers and share catches, FishingSpots works great without any problems. I love the “local” feature about it because I can see where I should fish and how other people are doing around me and what they are catching. Overall FishingSpots is amazing

It is really nice to log my catches on the fishing app. I am able to look at it and see what I caught this year. It is the same as keeping a fish journal/log book with people giving you compliments, everyone seems to be really nice. Definitely get FishingSpots you will have fun using it

Tried all the apps. This is the best. Tracks locations, baits, weight of fish and map is super helpful. Over the covid down time i have be living and dying by the fish forecast. Anytime FishingSpots is saying to fish i catch fish. Love the person to person interact and lots of friendly folks!!!

Highly recommend to all fisherman and fisherwomen! It is a fishing community.
I really enjoy seeing other people’s catches, hear what they’re using for bait, and seeing where they are getting their fish. I haven’t seen any negativity on FishingSpots either! Everyone is encouraging of one another which makes it extra enjoyable.

FishingSpots used to be my favorite app to use to find fishing spots. After this most recent update, I think I will be deleting FishingSpots . This used to have a map with GPS and pictures to prove that people caught fish at that GPS location. Now I literally have to click on each picture just to see where it was taken. That is the hardest way to find a Fishing Spot ever. What if you just want to check in your area to see where there are some good spots? You took that option away from us. And for that I am taking my loyalty somewhere else.

Love FishingSpots. You can search local fishing spots and see what people are catching and exact locations. My bf and I found our new honey hole with a ton of largemouth bass, good 15-20 inch long. All from someone posting on that lake in a different area! It’s fun to explore and see what people are using as well!

One thing missing is a quick click to location for driving. It give you a google map but you can't click on the location for driving directions. Still have it 5 stars because it's still an awesome app.

FishingSpots is one of the best I’ve tried. Even beats many of the paid apps. Try and you won’t regret!
Full of actual locations where anglers have caught fish. Lots of information as type of bait used, time of day, weather, etc. I rate this 5 STARS.

Given that I noticed someone used the f word yesterday. I was thinking you could scan for the top 5 or 10 vulgar words and if find them, do not allow submission. The technology is available

Love FishingSpots. It gives me a chance to see what people are catching all over . Also everyone on FishingSpots are nice and polite , and don’t trash talk you even if you have a small fish . Big or small action is action and I post all of it !!!👍👍👍👍

FishingSpots is an ok guide I have gone out fishing when it says 0 fish activity and killed it on drum then turn around go a few days later when it says 80% and not had a bite but all in all it’s a great app and I recommend it my fishing buddies

I downloaded it to find new fishing spots around me but the “Exact Location” is where the person uploaded the photo, not caught the fish. There’s like 20 dots of people at their house or on the freeway with the category of “Fishing Spot.” It’s literally useless to see someone fish at a nice looking spot from the picture but the marker for it be at there house because they didn’t upload it till they were home later that day.

FishingSpots is now useless with no map. Also the forum was removed and the data was not properly transferred over. The old version was much better just didnt look as nice. The new version is still glitchy and has a bunch of useless features that don't even work. They dont even have brown trout as a listed species and i put in a request to add it a week ago. I will be looking for a new app to keep track of spots and help others in my area.

I love FishingSpots, I have been tracking my catches and locations. Really like seeing what is being caught by other local and non-local anglers. Keep up the great work on FishingSpots I will be using it next year for competitive fishing can’t wait.

As a fisherman we are always looking for that magical edge that will put a fish on the hook. Does FishingSpots give that edge? I do know that it’s lots of fun to use, and it has lots of good stuff. Does it add to the fun of fishing? Absolutely. So do I consider it the magical fishing app? Close enough.

It nice that folks are catching fish 3-5k miles away from me, though some are goldfish sized. I'm more interested in the waters around my area that are naturally populated with fish. I don't care for the DC reflecting pond, can't fish there even if it was stocked with fish. So I have to navigate through pages and menus to get to my local spots which is a Huge PITA. FishingSpots is more focused at folks showing off what they catch than assisting in finding or marking the best places and times to cast.

The forecast feature is awesome! I love everything about the new update. It took a really outdated app and added a user friendly look and feel. It's my new favorite app!!!
