It’s easy to carry and use. As time goes on it gets worse. When it’s low on battery it will shut off before the indicator and it will be hard to get a charge to connect. Recharge often when it gets 50%. This is my second one. After a few months it starts having complications. Troubleshooting is horrible with customer service so don’t expect a ton of help with an actual person. My second one issue is that the device when next to the phone doesn’t connect and still searches for it. So hopefully you don’t need it when you do. I might be on my third one soon.

The this app app and hardware work quite well. The microphone is nice and sensitive, but I question the necessity of the hardware, especially if Apple plans to integrate AI into the iPhone's operating system. One issue I encountered is that exporting recorded audio files in MP3 or other formats does not seem to work. I assume this is a bug that will be fixed, as the website handles it fine.

The hardware performs very well and can be separated from the phone, allowing for long recording sessions. I tried using the ChatGPT app directly with its built-in recorder, but it would cut out after about three minutes of recording. For this reason alone, the this app hardware seems superior. Interestingly, if I take the text file generated by this app and input it into ChatGPT, it outlines as well as the this app app.

Overall, I give this a high rating of four out of five for its capabilities. However, its usefulness may decline with the potential inclusion of better audio recording capabilities in ChatGPT and the iOS operating system.

this app continues to add new features, like Ask with Ai which I’m looking forward to trying.

I liked that it could pick up and differentiate most of a conversation even in somewhat noisy environments. It has its limits to too much noise, yet, I was surprised how well it did while in my jeans pocket.

Some of the sub-menu commands (eg. Save mindmap to PNG) are written in Chinese, but everything else is in English. That’s my only suggested improvement.

I wonder if there’s a better way to periodically check the recording hardware device from Plaud - eg. to know when the battery has died so I can recharge it before I need it next.

The initial free trial was sufficient enough to transcribe & mindmap several long conversations before needing to upgrade — plenty to assess it’s usefulness.

The this app recorder and Plaud have in tandem changed the way I get my thoughts from my brain into reality. I occasionally use it for meetings and phone calls as it is mostly advertised, but the vast majority of use is completely personal. The ability to start recording with the start of a physical button and have it be transcribed and summarized by AI is something I have BEGGED for constantly over the last decade. This is without a doubt the best product I have ever encountered for that purpose.

Let me be clear. There are some issues with this app. The cost is quite high. The charger is obscure and hard to source if lost. It sometimes takes a couple tries to get recordings going.

But as a whole, if you are like me and desperate to get fleeting thoughts from your head into your phone with as little friction as possible, there is simply nothing superior to this app available. I hope to see updates in the future which improve the software, firmware, and app-side of this tool. Until then, I will be a power user of this life-changing resource.

I am a perpetual notetaker in any situation lectures, speeches and meetings. And most often I miss content from the speaker because I’m engrossed in my notes. The this app AI has transformed my learning capacity exponentially.
I can now take bulleted points on live lectures and calls, or during zoom meetings, including screenshots or snips of content and NEVER MISS A NOTE. Then, I simply insert my snips or screenshots into my exported AI dictated summary or transcription of perfectly taken notes. You’d be foolish not to purchase one of these… do it today.

There’s always a but, but to me, it’s a bit bulky on the back of the phone and some don’t mind while some do, if it’s not bulky then you please two sets of people, the ones that don’t mind and the ones that do all at the same time, the case is unnecessary and makes it bulky because it fell off twice already and I’m afraid I’ll lose it, but nonetheless, it’s a great idea and it works great as well as convenient.

Plaud is simply amazing. Does a lot more than you can possibly imagine. I pre-record my meetings that I have with my team on plaid, and it gives me a mind map and a downloadable transcript to pass out to my team so I’m better prepared.

I record all my Zoom meetings and webinars, and it gives me bullet points, which helps me to retain their information .

If you’re a business owner or student, this will change your life! Mind blown!

Works as advertised! Excellent mic pickup and transcription, far exceeds what my phone can do . The templates for summaries are great and really focus the data perfectly . I wish you could have it re-analyze it with a different subject template but haven’t figured out how to do that. They just introduced the ability to recognize different voices which you can name which increases the power and usefulness greatly . Highly recommend this product . Very inexpensive

this app has completely transformed how I handle recordings! Plaud is super easy to use, and the MagSafe compatibility is a brilliant touch for iPhone users. I love the crystal-clear audio quality, and the transcription feature saves me so much time. It accurately transcribes my meetings and notes, and the summarization feature is a game-changer. I’ve been using this for a little over a month. Besides all of the features and things that others have said in other reviews I want to share two great benefits.

My family speaks Spanish, I can turn on this app and put my phone down. At the end it will transcribe and give a summary of the conversation in English 🤯.

You can use it in a place with a lot of background noise, church, restaurant and it picks up the needed conversation and transcribe and summarize it for you.

I bought this because I struggle with feeling like I can’t write quickly enough to include all the information in my notes and then I struggle to determine which information to prioritize when summarizing. This is a life saver! I can focus most of my attention on absorbing information while this takes more detailed notes for me and even helps me summarize concepts for studying. It also points out where information wasn’t clear in meetings. Work or school, this is amazing!

I take meeting minutes for our clients and attend legal and finance seminars. Taking notes and reviewing them have always been a time consuming task but with this app, I can produce meeting minutes using Robert’s Rule and generate summaries and other formats. The naming the speaker feature works really great. Can be harder to do in a full room but you are able to listen to recorded samples and name the speaker so it comes in incredibly handy. I even used it to transcribe episodes of my favorite podcast and took it to a friend’s house for fun so the next day we could review things we may have “forgotten“ during the evening. If I had this in college I would be a retired doctor by now. The possibilities for this device are endless and it’s the most accurate and comprehensive AI recording tool I’ve tried, and I’ve tried most products currently on the market. Nerds unite!

I’m a Project Manager in a medium size construction company. I run anywhere from 4-6 active construction projects and typically involved in 3-4 PreConstruction projects. Very busy to say the least. I use this at least once or twice every day. Things like site meetings and job walks it proves useful because I don’t have to carry a notepad and scribble notes. Simply have the meeting, transcribe and summarize. I then email the file to myself in Word format, do some quick editing, and distribute the information from there. It’s really great.

The this app device has become a part of my daily routine. I take it to all my meetings to serve as my note taking assistant. I used to write pages and pages of notes. Now I let this app do the work and it doesn’t skip a beat! It creates better notes than I could have ever taken on my own. this app captures the entire meeting, sorts into an amazing layout, and fills the gaps of any missing info using AI technology. I can’t live without my this app! Highly recommend it if you have lots of meetings and lots of notes to take.

I was a special education teacher. This product has been so helpful. I can focus and dedicate more of my time in meetings to ensuring that our tasks are being completed and communicated effectively and then having action steps written by the AI to accurately add to the record add to the record has not only improved my workflow, but has been massively impressive to my bosses.
As much as I want everyone to have this tool, I like feeling special and keeping it to myself and everyone just thinking that I am that teacher in the school who has their life together.

I think the thing that shocked me, the most is the ability of this tiny little device to pick up various voices from, for instance, in advisory board meeting of people of various genders accents and ages, and very accurately record both the word for word, transcript and even more impressively a brilliant summary of the central points of a meeting, lecture, discussion.
I am a college professor of practice, I also co-manage a large and growing social impact urban farm in Dallas, and impact investing lab at SMU, and mentor various budding entrepreneurs. This tool is invaluable and to coin and old American Express advertisement I think, I never leave home without it.

I’ve purchased 3 different AI hardware devices and Plaude Note is the first to live up to its hype and accurately do what it is supposed to do. It works very well. After trying the free 300 min I instantly bought a yearly subscription of 1600 min a month. This works and it works incredibly well virtually flawlessly. Plaud and hardware is so far above any other app and or hardware I’ve tried there is no comparison. I could have saved money and just bought this first. I don’t even have any cons. I live this and hope developers don’t change too much because this lives up to the AI hype

I’m very happy with Plaud and the this app note. I’ve been using this religiously as I onboard in a new role at my company. It’s easier to be fully engaged and present, versus taking notes and rushing to gather thoughts while at it. I can now simply revert back to all my recordings and summaries. The best part is that if there’s a specific note or question you had for the recording, you can simply ask AI and it’ll provide with a detailed response. I love this and look forward to future updates.

One feature that I do hope for someday is the ability to integrate several notes into a single one. That would be amazing!

The devices work really well picking up the audio and transferring it to the phone for Plaud to upload and process is also very easy. Battery life of the devices lasts a week or so of moderate use. The automatic selection of summary template works really well. I have used it at church, in business and personal meetings, even family meal time. In every one it seems to capture the event. I also can manually choose which template if I have a strong preference. One note is be careful of who you label as which speaker. It will remember the first name you apply and use that going forward. I will have to reach out to support to get one mislabeled removed. Lastly the exports and sharing features and ability to import any audio from any source is also a major plus.

I use both the this app and the this app Note Pin. It has been instrumental in my staff meetings and one-to-one’s to just be able to engage and allow this app to take notes for me. The AI suggestions and action items have been on point. I had one technical issue with the device and contacted support. I was contacted within the hour with a resolution. Incredible! Keep it up.
