Why do I need to download an app just to replace a window sensor? The old sensor had an issue where the battery had to be replaced every week. I finally got a replacement sensor from ADT. They missed my first virtual appointment to replace it. When I got it rescheduled and was on the phone the tech said in order to replace it I had to download this app. It is ridiculous I needed to download a FOURTH app for my ADT system. As soon as the call was over I immediately deleted it.

Just used this app at the direction of the ADT service rep, which was simply used by ADT to avoid repair or replacement of a failing alarm panel.

My alarm panel periodically goes completely dead, clearly unrelated to wireless connectivity stats.

Keep in mind, I am a network security engineer.

My wi-fi network has excellent performance to the area of the panel, as determined by my own scans.

The report generated by the app also indicated a blocked UDP port, which, as a security engineer, I can say confidently is blocked appropriately and is not necessary for the ADT device function (if it was necessary, the ADT device would never function correctly).

Again, this app is just a prop used by ADT to avoid service of their equipment.

This app connected to my Wi-Fi and router and identified changes to the Internet router that needed to be made for the Pulse system to work properly. Wouldn’t have known without running this app. You need to be on the lions with ADT support at the time for them to see the results and tell you what to do. Would be great if at some point the developer makes this app self running so you don’t have to be on the phone with a tech, it just reports the problems, makes changes, and tells you what to do.
