LUDUS Strategy PvP Card Battle Reviews

I've been playing this game for a little over 1-2 months I really got sunk into the game because it has you needing to actually use critical thinking to win, BUT on the other hand no amount of thinking, no amount of luck (which is also a big part of this game) will ever have me better than someone who has a full legendary team. The game is wanting me to use different faction characters to increase those characters value, but if those characters are not legendary, then once again no matter how good you are at this game, you will not win because yall have not found out how to balance your cards power and that counts to common, rare, epic, and legendary cards. Yall need to learn how to properly balance your rarities of cards, just because a card is common, rare, or epic, it should not be completely getting destroyed by legendary cards. Because I'm watching my opponents play the game while not thinking of their placement, they've got low level heroes and mine are almost super merged with a 50 star rating, and just because they are common, rare, and epic, my whole game is basically thrown in the trash. Please fix the actual balancing of cards to where "free play" players have a chance. I get it yall keep flaunting these legendary cards to me all day, so that's all yall want me and everyone else to do, all yall want is money, I get it, but the more fun you make the game, the more people play, the more people spend. Truly easy to understand.

I’ve been playing for the last two months and wonder if players have the same opinions as I do, and yes many others seem to think this game is unfair and unbalanced, which makes it eventually unplayable, I can’t remember how many times I simply lose a game just because the opponents just buy the legendary characters and put them all in the same team (you have to pay to get them), one recent example is I got two full health characters left and the opponent has the Princess just ram back and forth to kill my last two characters after she revives (why does she have revive is beyond me), in the last patch, the development team buffed some characters by adding some perks, which isn’t “balancing”, you straight up just need to nerf the legendary characters down to the bone, start by stripping away their unifaction status, that feature makes no sense especially during revive week, they all reanimate after being killed, as difficult enough to kill them the first time. The development team needs to stop saying “thank you for your feedback, we’ll keep improving and balancing the game”, you clearly not, you just released another legendary Santa, now most opponents I play against have at least 3 legendary. You can start by limiting one legendary per team combo.

Started playing this game and I’ll get matched up with people far below my power but they will beat me anyways half the time bc they will get unbelievable luck and get 20 plus lvl character while I’m sitting on like a max 11. Next round get like one or two characters I can match and again other player has already cleared their entire board of rocks. This has happened so many times, makes it no fun when the luck is so heavy in the game that it removes any possibility of strategy. I understand this can happen sometimes but the amount of times luck wins the game over anything else is just stupid at this point. Will be deleting and moving on. Not worth the time nor the money. Much better apps out there!

Do not waste money on this game. I hate to write this review but when the developers only care about money and don’t care about fixing the problems with their game reviews like this have to be written they keep saying that they’re working on it or they give you this copy and paste answer as to why things happen But no matter how many people try and contact the developers to get the game fixed. They just put out new stuff to make more money. After being a long time player, I have watched the player base dwindle. Yes, there are new players coming onto the game, but the players that were playing for a lengthy period of time are leaving because it’s broken. And when they leave the developers take their account and turn it into a bot account. Which then gets a boost and overpowers the new players. Well, I understand that you guys are actively working on this game and I understand that comes at a cost, but the constant increasing money from your player base to participate is getting out of control. You guys should offer a discounted pack that players can purchase that covers the battle pass the tournament pass. Add free instead of expecting your players to spend almost $100 a month to play your game.

I’ve been playing this game for about a month now and for the last two week All I’ve been fight is people who have significantly much more Attack power then I do , I’m at 280% attack power and All I’ve been fighting is people who have 400%-500%+ Attack power . 9/10 times you will lose any battle against someone who has more attack power and I’m tired of losing every game because people who have clearly been playing for much longer then me are getting put against me in every battle I play . This match making system is seriously trash with no hope in sight. So many people I’ve talked to in many different clans feel the same way I do , how is it fair for me to fight people that I will clearly lose to every game !?? It’s not like there isn’t other people playing this game that are ACTUALLY around my Attack power % to make it an ACTUAL Real and Fair match!!!!! I guarantee people will stop plaything is game in huge waves if this simple issue isn’t fixed in any way ! Do better with your game devs…..

The game is fun and challenging and every match can go either way. The down side is if you lose you dont just wash it if you lose 24 trophies but if you win you only get 4. So if you lose it takes 6 games to get your spot back. Beyond that you can lise any game since every time you get stronger you have to face stronger people. I spent 100$ to boost my account to get my ranking up and my opponents were still 200% stronger then me. Fun to play, not worth spending money.

Update on this game. The farther in you get the worse it gets. Not that people get harder but they stack higher accounts against you to beat you down so you have to spend money. The dirty thing is even if you spend money, 90% of your matches are against unbeatable people. Im 900$ in and i am not even a top 100 player cause every round im against people who i cant beat one of their people with a full board. Dropped to one star.

Ludus is a cool take on a quick pvp battle style game. But and this is a huge but; no pun intended! This game is a huge pay to win game! I started playing Ludus when it first came out and I currently only have 3 legendary characters. Only one of those is above level 1. Everyone the game seems to pit me against has a deck stacked with legendary characters. I have been on a big loosing streak for almost 2 weeks now. I refuse to support any developer or game I cannot play fairly without spending a large amount of money! I use my shards like everyone else both common and rare but the devs have the in game store setup so that you either have to spend real money or you’re just left behind. It takes 50 rare shards just to unlock one legendary card during events. This puts most non paying players at a huge disadvantage! For this reason alone; I can barely force myself to rate Ludus 2 stars. NON PAYING GAMERS BEWARE.. ⚠️CASH GRAB⚠️

This game is pretty good even as F2P but there’s a few things that make it annoying. You have to watch ads to progress and they are the worst, they go on for 30-45 seconds then you click a button, then it goes for 15 more seconds, and then hit a button and 5 more seconds. The charm should be removed, it makes one of your heroes fight your heroes and makes your other heroes fight them also. The tournament is based on your hero levels and power level and in tournament everyone should have the same power level and level of cards. Also unless you pay for a pass you can only play 1 tournament at a time and it takes 8 hours to get another after you play a match. Improving these things would make this game much better for everyone.

It’s a cool game. Fights are pretty quick and can be fun. BUT without any money, you don’t get much money for a win or in a accomplishment ($190) you need $30,000 to buy a legendary card. Now the battle mechanics are a joke! All your heroes will only attack one opponent, that’s if they can get to it otherwise you will get cut down and lose. It’s a mosh pit of death. Meanwhile they are shooting me with machine guns while I’m still trying to get to the one opponent my whole team is trying to get at. I’m at only a 181% and I have only beaten 6 players who were ranked higher than me. You have to buy the only 2 emojis that say hi to your opponent. It’s a long drawn out game of eventual disappointment to anyone who can’t pay to keep up with everyone else. Shame, it’s a good game to a point. Bigfoot 🦶🏼

(update) A couple more things. I don't need to see the notification every few seconds that my tournament place changes! The notifications in this game are really annoying! Please allow for disabling internal notifications! And if a player permanently disconnects at the beginning, the game should immediately end - why do I have to play out every battle that I'm obviously going to win?? (End update)

Fun game. Very similar in style to other autobattling games, UI, gameplay, and all. When first learning though, it's very difficult to find which units can be matched when you have a lot of units on the grid. There needs to be indicators (like a glow or something) for which units are matchable - otherwise you're doing a lot of hunt-and-pecking, which takes way too much time.
And matchmaking is very unbalanced. Can you win against someone with 1-2 better units than you? Yeah, if you're lucky and/or better at doing your matches. Can you win when 3 or more are better? No, not without incredible luck on your side and horrible luck on theirs (so effectively no). With normal pvp it's not a huge loss, but when playing the Astral pvp, one loss makes a huge difference.

For the love of all that is holy, get rid of the stupid Proceed popup!! It's SO INCREDIBLY ANNOYING!!

First of all, let me just say I LOVE this game. It’s a great strategy game and I love the PVP and the Tournament modes. It really has potential to be an awesome game long-term. My only issues are the absolutely insane price of in game items. Now, I don’t mind spending money on games I enjoy- but $50 for a single character?! That’s crazy! That’s an actual offer I just got for Paladin. The character packs are like at least $20 and many are $40-50. Really, anything you buy with money is wildly overpriced. And second, I wish there was a “lightning” mode or something where people have less time to make their moves. Most of the time, the time they gave is way more than enough and it’s awful just sitting there the full time when you have a painfully slow opponent. A mode where you have less time would be cool.

I Don’t know if they’ll see this but I hope they do. I don’t understand how all of the sudden this week I’ve been fighting players who are overall 50%-70% stronger than me dropping my winning percentage from 74% to 55% for example right now my Overall power is 473% I just lost to somebody who’s overall was 543% why are we even playing each other the gap in power is major the only way you win is if the right players come out when you need them to so hopefully you get more Super Merge Characters than they will it’s like you rely more on the drawing of the character coming out 🤞🏾than your actual skill at the game in this particular instant

I like the game no doubt easy five stars rating but the thing is, the issue was with matchmaking, it was really unfair for those who have low might with high trophies against with people with high might with the same trophies. There should be a cap with these matchmaking base on might or trophies. Might should not affect the damage output of the cards a player has instead it should be base on the level and rarity of cards so it would be fair for all the players with low might.
Also with the grand tournament, might should not take any effect on it so all will be evenly match. It supposed to be a strategically playing your cards against others. I hope admin would take consideration on my opinion. Thanks

This is an amazing game, and being a mobile game addict, this seems to be the only game that can keep me hooked. I would recommend downloading the game just to try as there is always something to compete in, not just regular duels. You might see another review that says it’s a money grab, and the bots are op, but I have nearly an 80 percent win rate and you can beat opponents with a significantly higher might with STRATEGY. This game isn’t just rng, and you have to make the most out of what you have. Finding new combos, and getting the most out of your buffs is NECESSARY. By far my favorite game of 2024 and it’s definitely gonna be yours too.

The game is fun, but you have to pay to win. It is very severe. The game is designed in such a way that you can't win if your scores are different by 10, but I don't think the algorithm is working properly when you are always paired up against opponents whose scores are more than 100 points apart. Even if you win, it's no fun, and losing 5 games in a row has become a daily occurrence, and I feel the game has lost a lot of its fun. The game itself is fun, but it is very stressful due to the strange matchup.

Also, you are shown ads at various stages of the game, but they are very loooong. You are shown ads for quite a while.

OK, you guys actually made a match puzzle game fun and challenging! I mean how - you know what, it doesn’t matter how. This game is freaking genius. NO FORCED ADS!!! a little heavy on the pay to advance, but free players can still have fun if you’re not looking to get to the top of the pay board (leaderboard). Every match is an actual LIVE player and every match is different. It really comes down to a little luck and a little strategy but you don’t have to mash buttons to win.
Thank you for figuring out the algorithm on fun because this is what us gamers were looking for.

This adds a tactical layer, as decisions made during preparation directly impact the combat outcome, making it accessible yet compelling for a broad audience of all ages. Most importantly? Ads only play if you choose to watch them for rewards, which I do. Unlike other games that bombard you with ads after every match, this one stays ad-free. It’s free to play, and you can progress smoothly without any forced breaks.

I see a lot of people complaining and whining over silly things, and there are a few legitimate complaints. Overall, this is a fun game with minimal adds compared to the vast majority of the games out there. You should be grateful that the developer(s) isn’t like the rest! at least for now anyway. The game allows for fairly decent growth without having to spend money and yes, the level matching in the game could improve. However, if it bothers you that much then simply move on to a different game!

I spent HOURS playing this game yesterday. It took me away from marvel snap. This game is fantastic and the rewards are great! I haven’t had this much fun on a mobile game in years. I don’t have anything negative to say. Great job devs! I do have some concerns… can you please make the events last longer so f2p players can have a chance to acquire the new cards? Also can you make it so f2p players can earn gems easier. I don’t want to call this game a p2p game but it’s borderline like rush royale…. Not gameplay wise( gameplay it’s fantastic) but p2p wise it’s predatory and could use without the buy this but that in your face… overall it’s great and I mean GREAT gameplay , just wish events last longer and a little more gems to have available to win.

This is honestly a game I’ve been stuck on playing everyday. Not a crazy amount probably 30 mins to an hour. I don’t see how people are complaining that this game is P2W, although u could pay, you can get by jus fine not spending any money. I have probably spent about 10 dollars on this game and have a full legendary deck with 92% win rate. It’s honestly very fun, even if you don’t spend a lot of money or even none at all, it’s not hard to keep up with the competition. Have about 4k trophies
