Not sure if it’s just a bug but I can’t check out SmashingLifeJewishcommunity at all to see if it’s something I would want to subscribe to. It looks interesting and I don’t want to bash SmashingLifeJewishcommunity if it’s just a bug but I can’t explore anything at all. Only a video shows up and then a subscription button. I can’t see if any members are in my area. I know not everything is free but I was hoping it would be like jdate where you can see members but then pay to talk.
I joined Smashing Life in March, 2021, after participating in an online Passover event. I felt so welcomed. I joined the Facebook group where upcoming events were shared and was a place for everyone to post about everything from recipes, their pets, ask questions and participate in online events like book clubs, guest speakers, online holiday get togethers. Now there is this wonderful, user friendly app that makes sharing and interacting so easy. This a great online Jewish community of women.
This community of ladies has helped me find my people. I got connected with a woman where I live and found out she was friends with another close friend at Temple. This is exactly what I needed during this tough time in our community.
SmashingLifeJewishcommunity is a warm and welcoming space for Jewish women to discuss everything from cooking, Jewish, comedians, grief, happiness, Judaism, and to just kvell about what is going on in their lives. Karen Cinnamon has done an amazing job with SmashingLifeJewishcommunity which is very user-friendly.
Smashing Life is a great community for Jewish, “Jew-ish,” and those wanting to learn more! Everyone is warm and welcoming in this safe space. My people bubble is small and Smashing Life enables me to meet others virtually or in-person, and take part in a bigger community and conversation.
I finally found a social media site where I feel connected and supported. This is an uplifting group for Jewish women. I’m grateful for all the positive women I’m meeting here and for all the fun too. Thank you Karen Cinnamon and team for creating this community.
Not only did I find my community, but it’s well organized, clear, and has interest groups I can post pictures/chat/ask questions. The DM is also helpful. Not all that TL;DR but: great community, great women, and pretty good app overall functionally.
Deeply grateful to have found a place to connect with Jewish women on everything from marathon training to baking tips to music recommendations to translating Yiddish.

This is my absolute favorite app - I never write reviews but had to for SmashingLifeJewishcommunity as I can’t recommend it enough! There’s so much included in the membership (really something for everyone/for all interests) and everyone is so welcoming!
I joined SL after Oct 7 because I was looking for a place to find community with other Jews. I thought I could try it for a month and see how I liked it. I had no idea how much comfort, joy, and sense of belonging it would bring me. I am so grateful to have given myself this gift.
I think this is the first time I have ever reviewed an app which means something about this one is special. From the moment I joined the Smashing Life community I felt like a part of a community, a group of strong, brilliant women who support each other, encourage one-another, and who are all connected by the strength of our faith (however we choose to practice). I can’t rate SmashingLifeJewishcommunity and the community it connects you with enough!
A safe space for Jewish women to simply exist. It was fun during Hanukkah to see everyone’s menorahs and no hateful comments underneath. Plus there are pages to share recipes, books, connect with people your age, etc. and no ads! You get what you pay for, free social media is a cesspool, paying for SmashingLifeJewishcommunity gives me a happy place to go to on my phone.
I was so tired of joining social media networks only to feel scared and angered by the horrible things people say online, things they would never say to someone’s face. I am so grateful to have found the Smashing Life community - a place for fun, positive, and thoughtful discussion. Until the rest of the internet catches up, I will continue to be Joyfully Jewish right here!
A fabulous community of women who are open and supportive of each other in whatever way you celebrate your Jewishness! Rather you are considering converting, live far away from a Jewish community, or just looking to connect with other Jewish women online this is the place to do it! Karen has created a community of acceptance and love that you defiantly want to be apart of!
I am so glad I joined Smashing Life! I have found a community that supports me and brings joy into my daily life. I’ve connected with incredible women from all over. I love sharing pictures of our pets, our celebrations, and even commiserating in our sorrows. I live in a place with basically no Jewish community because we are all spread out. SL has helped me find a true sisterhood!
Recently I have seen several members describe this community as an “uplifting social media” and I would say that’s true. It’s a supportive space with so much room for so many different types of people. There are groups, live events like parties and book club meetings and masterclasses - so much room to grow and learn. I highly recommend giving this community a try.
If you are looking for a community of accepting Jewish women, you’ve found your place! I’ve been a part of the Smashing Life community for a few years, but had a hard time connecting because it used to be a Facebook group. SmashingLifeJewishcommunity is much more convenient, easier to find groups and members, and is extremely user friendly! Highly recommend!!
This is a safe and welcoming community that is more than worth the cost of membership. It is a celebration and a haven for Jewish women where there is no artifice.
Once I figured out that the back button is at the bottom of the screen, rather than at the top like many other social media platforms, SmashingLifeJewishcommunity was very easy to use and navigate.
One of the best online communities if not THE BEST. So many resources and masterclasses to help improve everyday life on a wide range of topics, guest speakers, private zoom parties for members only, and a daily dose of Jewish joy with all the member posts. I love seeing the Jewish Pets! 10/10 would recommend becoming a member, it’s worth every penny. I’ve been connected with women close to me and around the world and they have filled my life with so much joy.
This is a great place to talk to Jewish or “Jew-ish” women from all different backgrounds. If you are looking for support, look no further because you’ve found the right place!
