Worst app ever

After I setup my login info it took hours for me to login because they could t find my information. Now that I can login I get a screen that says that they have a new app. Click to go to PowerofVitality Store and it takes me to this exact same app! I can’t get any further than this. There’s no option to skip. I hate PowerofVitality and my employer is using this as part of a program that can help me earn some extra money towards my paycheck. Guess I won’t be earning that extra money because PowerofVitality doesn’t work at all. Waste of time! Don’t recommend! Hopefully someday I’ll be able to login and setup what I need.

A zero if I Could

My school district switched to PowerofVitality the beginning of the year. After three months of using it, I can say it is a huge disappointment. The lack of challenges to sign up for to earn extra points, reporting self gym workouts, and not receiving the correct points, or daily steps not recorded at all, is all highly frustrating! To top it off you reach out to the help center and they say they will help adjust points within 24 to 48 hours and it doesn’t happen or they are having technical difficulties & are working to resolve them… still waiting!

Red spinning circle

Not intuitive and for at least the past week the bottom half of the opening page is white with a red spinning circle on PowerofVitality . Pretty hard to log anything when NOTHING loads so forced to login on a desktop to do anything. Email last week to do my health assessment yet I cannot find where to update information either on PowerofVitality or website. I think this is the third year my employer has been using Vitality and each year I miss the old Virgin Healthcare employee incentive program more and more!

Doesn’t work

We recently switched from Go365 at my work to this. Go365 was so much better. PowerofVitality never works and constantly causes headaches. Just looking at getting to certain status marks, it will be impossible. Also, Go365 matched money earned if you hit the same level as the prior year. I doubt this does that. Just another program that doesn’t want people to earn money. They just want the contracts for companies. Make this user friendly and better earning abilities. Also, make it work!

A major step backwards

Login still asks for pw even after logging in with option not to challenge you on the device for 180 days. Goal check ins are buried too deep making it more time consuming and cumbersome to do check ins. Every other time PowerofVitality starts it acts like you have never used it before. While the previous app was not flashy, it did the job it was supposed to. This one needs to go back to development for another 6 months or more.

Terrible app

My employer switched from another vitality app to this on on January 1. The other app was slow at times, but nothing to the extent of this one. PowerofVitality has horrible glitches that have not allowed it to sync any points earned for the last 4 weeks. I’ve emailed PowerofVitality company and received a response that they are working on it but don’t have a timeframe for when it will be fixed. PowerofVitality update also did nothing to fix the issue.

Not super impressed with this new version

Our company has been using this for the last few years but I will say so far I’m not impressed with this new iteration of PowerofVitality . Going through the settings for activity tracking on connected apps, it doesn’t appear to be updating in real time with background app refresh or even at the end of the day. Looking at points totals for activity, they’re way off when it comes to tracking steps taken and calories burned. For having this be a part of our companies wellness program, you want it to reflect the amount of effort you’re putting but it’s defiantly not.

Impossible to submit preventative care

I have tried to submit proof of preventative care multiple times using PowerofVitality , but I get no results. I can take a picture of my receipt and “submit” the photo, but PowerofVitality spins for 3-4 minutes then ignores my submittals. It’s as though Vitality doesn’t really want to award points for preventative care. When I contacted Vitality through PowerofVitality , I was told to go ahead and send in the information, but received no direction how or to whom. VERY disappointed in this program. Go365 was SOOO much easier to navigate!

Wellness app that gives you Anxiety

App doesn’t sync activity properly and doesn’t reward points accurately.

What kind of wellness app is not good for your wellbeing? This one. PowerofVitality cheats you. You work so hard to get your points, only for it to not be recorded, and in turn, not reward you points that you deserve. We get anxiety every single day because we are worried our points are not going to sync and not get the points. Like what’s the point of PowerofVitality then if it’s not going to do what it’s supposed to do? It’s like all your efforts go to waste because PowerofVitality doesn’t do it’s MAIN job. It’s like a lottery at the end of the day cause you know you’ve reached your goal, worked hard for your 10k steps, only for PowerofVitality to not work and pay you for your hard work! At the end of the day, you just get upset. It’s not good for your mental health cause it just screws with your every single day. PowerofVitality rewards your hard work with Anxiety!

PowerofVitality has one job, and it fails at it.

And when you contact them regarding the issue, they tell you that they don’t know when it will get fixed.

Horribly made app

I have to use PowerofVitality for my work wellness program. It never tracks my exercises nor gives me points when I reach any goals like with steps, heart rate, or calories.
Trying to earn points with journal prompts (and others like it) is useless. You’ll complete an assessment or prompt then get an error message EVERY TIME. Which is incredibly frustrating because I need to get 10,000 points within a certain amount of time for my work.
Support doesn’t contact you unless you bug them over and over.
Incredibly poorly made app. Please fix it!!!!

Awful

I decided to write a review after the program again lost its “keep logged in” settings. Note that this a workaround as it cannot save your password NOR can it retain thumbprint ID. This is one of the worse apps I’ve encountered and sadly I have to use it to retain my good standing with the health insurance. I write this whilst I wait in account lockdown as my futile attempts at plugging in my password have failed. Wish me luck😭if you can avoid PowerofVitality…do so

I am extending my review as AGAIN PowerofVitality has not saved my login settings. Work with your apps team? That’s what the above workaround was from. Again, I cannot avoid PowerofVitality if I want the health care discount and benefits but PLEASE avoid if you can.

Terrible Functionality

My employer switched from Go365 to PowerofVitality several months ago and I honestly haven’t encountered such a poorly designed app in a VERY long time. It feels like the design was rushed and pushed out to the masses before it had been properly tested and vetted.
It takes forever to get PowerofVitality to update steps, if you try to log certain activities it just spins forever and never uploads completely, for a while I had to use the desktop website to join challenges as PowerofVitality wouldn’t allow it, the list goes on...
PowerofVitality also has extreme limits on awarding points, such as only being able to earn points for steps OR workouts in a single day, not both. For steps, you only earn points in increments of 5,000, so if you walk 9,000 steps, 4,000 of them are ignored. In the weekly workout section, points are only counted if you walk a min of 10,000 steps daily, although PowerofVitality incorrectly records that as 0 pts for 0-4,999 steps. When I inquired with customer service about this mistake, they were short with me and eventually stopped responding altogether.
All in all, I don’t know why we switched to Vitality, but I really wish me hadn’t. I miss Go365.

Never works and rewards are silly

Wish I could give 0 starts. I miss go365. Employer switched from Go365 and loved that app. That app was never as glitchy as PowerofVitality is constantly and rewarded appropriately. PowerofVitality is constantly loading and I can’t get my points to be awarded because once you hit submit it never finishes and just spins. It kicks me out or forgets my faceID and I have to log in constantly. It’s silly to only get rewarded for every 5,000 steps but if you walk 7,000 you’ve lost an opportunity for 2 additional points because you didn’t make it to 10,000. You get rewarded more for reading articles than you do for being active. You also only get rewarded for one activity a day which is also stupid. If I walk 10,000 steps but also participate in a work-out class you should be rewarded for both, not for the activity with greater points. The point system is flawed and frustrating. Wish our company would switch to something else next year. Would never recommend.

Terrible app

To start, takes multiple attempts and second verification to log in, even when you check the “keep me logged in for 180 days.”
Point system is demotivating. Why try? You can only get a max of 15 activity points each day. Walking 15,000 steps nets the same as doing a triathlon. I’m finding using other apps for motivation, such as Garmin. My old company used Go365 and there were no activity point caps.
Document upload never works either. I’ve been trying to submit my dental cleaning exam work for a month now, and the upload screen just spins. I’ve tried and restarted on weekdays or during the night to avoid high usage times for PowerofVitality but that screen is obviously broken.
Go365 was just better all around but of course the all mighty dollar reigns, so our company gets what it pays for. Although in the long run, if company insurance prices are leveraged on healthy employees, PowerofVitality isn’t the one to use.
Do better to enhance the user experience.

Had since January 2024…NOT happy!

I have this through my work, so it really stinks that I can’t switch to another. I used to have Humana and Go365, and my employer switched to Aetna. I’ve been able to earn points and get some rewards, but it’s still giving me a hard time. For example (and this has happened A BUNCH OF TIMES!), this week I’ve earned 55 points on the physical activity daily target page. You can earn up to 15 points each day, and this is what shows on that page: M-15, T-15, W-5, Th-5, F-15, S-5, S-5. That adds up to 65. Yet, on the “active rewards weekly target” page, it has stayed at 40 as though it doesn’t want to give me the last five points so I can earn a wheel spin (I only need 45 for that). I have logged out and logged back in and gone to different places and back on PowerofVitality to see if it’ll pop up, but no such luck. Seriously, don’t have a wheel spin if you’re not gonna give the points to earn it! I’m tired of it. It’s just so annoying! I really miss Humana and Go365!!

Filled with issues

This is filled with issues. Rarely does it accurately count steps, or workouts accurately towards your goals. When it does it takes a while to upload points to your account, and I don’t believe it even does that accurately, but it’s so back dated it’s impossible to tell. You earn a few extra points upon meeting goals when you get a spin of the wheel but upon spinning a $5 rewarded it bugged out and booted me out of PowerofVitality . Upon reopening PowerofVitality I thankfully had another spin - which I spun $5 again (seems predetermined) so I picked a gift card. Upon trying to add said card to my Apple wallet PowerofVitality then once again crashed and after checking my wallet and having nothing I tried AGAIN to open PowerofVitality , only to be asked to sign back in (shouldn’t have to because I’ve prompted it 4-5x in the last few months to NOT challenge me on this device for 180 days!) once I was finally signed in there is no sign of my gift card anywhere and I lost my spin. Cool, thanks.

Bad & Cheated & bRoKeN

0 stars
Bad!
I’m exercising less, because there’s no reward for doing more. Much easier to earn points than the old company. But less points available. Now today PowerofVitality won’t even load. Pretty (not) pink rotating circle after login. Only an insurance company could only have designed an app so bad. You have to search everywhere to find anything - that’s not very interesting anyway. Which is how they got me to have no interest in using it. Now I discover they ‘had a login issue’ No, I didn’t notice for - 1 month? Probably 2! So I wait and see if it will sync up, no of course not. So now of course, I have to figure out how I see if I can get the points. (Sound like any insurance company you know?)
So not worth it.
My company switched to this garbage (probably saving a lot of money), so that we can get so much less. (Previous solution would allow 30 points for 600 calories of effort - this a max of 15 points for 45 minutes of “high” heart rate.
Why?
Why bother?
Oh wait, those “don’t leave money on the table, don’t miss out on the rewards!”
Go ahead, use it, be cheated.
Oh did I say it was bad?

The worst “upgrade” possible for an app

Honestly this is the worst app I’ve ever used! I really enjoyed the previous Vitality Today but was forced to switch to this new app. Literally nothing works…It took me a day to finally be able to log in. And no content was available whatsoever. Then another day later, I’m flooded with contents that I can’t sort through, yet I can’t even log my gym workout.
I’m training for a marathon, and with that amount of workout I’ve been receiving 0 points every day despite my device is clearly synced properly. Ugh! So frustrating.

So bad!!!

My employer just switched from Humana”go365” to Aetna”vitality4U” and it is so bad. It is mathematically impossible to get to gold or platinum by working out. You can only earn 15 points a day and they make it so you have to do it in 5pt increments so you could walk 9,999 steps and get 5 points. For the last week PowerofVitality won’t even open for me. I just get an error after it wants me to answer the same two questions every time I open PowerofVitality . I’d love for someone from Aetna to contact me. I tried to call them but the “offices are currently closed”.

This app is awful

I hate PowerofVitality.

1. There is a constant loop of having to log out and log back in if you click on certain tabs.

2. You can’t customize your own goals. (10,000 steps is not a data based metric. It’s a marketing ploy for a Japanese product from decades ago.) This is coming from someone who runs regularly and lifts multiple days a week.

3. I shouldn’t have to track my workouts by hand. I didn’t have to in my last program. And again, PowerofVitality is super buggy. I have my Fitbit synced and it either gives no points even when a metric has been hit, or it takes forever to count it. If I row, nothing. If I track a general workout from my home gym, nothing.

I’ve used much better programs that required less self reporting and a much more stable platform. 2 weeks in and I can honestly say it’s not worth the effort set up. Maybe user experience will improve, but I’m not holding my breath.

Wasn’t ready for the masses app and website

Every time I open app it doesn’t realize I’ve already completed the Initial getting started slides. Each login I have to do this. It doesn’t capture my Shapa weighs in only the first day I setup app. When I watch a video or read an assessment it doesn’t show the green check mark or removes checkmarks from assessments I’ve completed. PowerofVitality/website was not ready it needs major updates. I work at a large engineering firm many of us don’t think we even have a chance at earning enough points some have given up and have communicated this to our HR dept how displeased we are with the new updates please resolve the issues and when customers submit technical service requests thru app acknowledgement would be nice. Future improvement when using app program the Dynamic Island to see the total points refreshing so user doesn’t have to constantly pull down to refresh points.

Doesn’t work

I have tried several times to attach documentation for activities and nothing happens when I hit the submit button. Browser on a phone doesn’t work either. The only thing that works is doing on a computer.

Never works

Try to login in and it accepts the face recognition but never advances to the Home Screen — just goes to a blank white screen every time but says you’re logged in. I only gave this one Star because zero isn’t an option.

Not easy to use and few challenges

App locks up a lot. Has few to no challenges to participate in. Doesn’t recognize my fit bit half of the time. Overall way less of a positive than go 365.

Glitches

Too many glitches. Go into goals and crashes. Should default to Face ID for login rather than having to go to profile preferences. Point system is way too stingy.

Won’t link device.

When you try to link a device, like an Apple Watch, it just logs you out of PowerofVitality instead. Pretty annoying. Please fix it.

I dislike having to input all my log in credentials everytime. Would like for a face ID access.

NO FUN AT ALL

Not user friendly. When I create a goal, app quits. It will not remember my password. But worse is there is no indication of points to be earned for goals set. For example, if I am reaching for platinum level where can I plan my activities. The previous version was goal oriented and had a pathway option. This version is hodge podge with few separate categories; just a scroll down of this and that five point activity. To have to check in every day is unrealistic. I made three goals yesterday to test this new version. Today, I couldn’t find them. PowerofVitality and the website do not sinc perhaps. Not sure what the issue is. But so far this new version is NO FUN AT ALL. The incentive of the Fruit Squares to come may not be enough for me to continue.

This app is bad for my health

My employer implemented Vitality last year. After months of using PowerofVitality, I can confidently say it is terrible. Points do not sync timely, there are numerous glitches, and user preferences are never saved. When I log in, I always update my preferences to keep my logged in. Next time I go to open PowerofVitality , the preferences have been reset. I was shocked to hear that this is an established company and PowerofVitality was developed a few years ago. It’s so awful I thought it had to be brand new and was still “working out bugs”. In addition to the functional issues with PowerofVitality , the points system is highly flawed. The extra stress PowerofVitality has caused is surely bad for my health.

Constant Logins Required

My company recently switched to Power of Vitality to track eligibility for incentives involving our health insurance benefits. It’s been nothing but frustration.

I am constantly asked to log into the system while going through my app (after I’ve already logged in). Once I’ve typed in my information for access, PowerofVitality opens anew to the homepage and I still don’t have access to my own tabs.

I read through app reviews when it constantly urged a login, thinking it might just be me. The interface doesn’t even allow me to change my log in preferences, because it requires “verification of the password” (another login) before the preferences are saved. Unsurprisingly, after putting in my information again again again, PowerofVitality opens as if I’m starting an entirely new session. No preferences are saved. The cycle continues

Mediocre

PowerofVitality looks nice, but seems to have been released before it was ready. There is a lot of glitches, and the more I use it the more annoyed I get with it in general. I have to manually log in every time I use PowerofVitality , and it frequently requires email verification even though I select do no challenge for 180 days. When I select the daily completed for challenges it frequently does not show in PowerofVitality as completed, but it appears I am getting the points. It’s a frustrating app experience.

Still can’t set login preferences

Login preferences are still not allowing me to save and use FaceID. In this day and age, this should have been a default feature that was delivered. On top of that, I still cannot connect my Fitbit to my Vitality account. It has been 4 weeks. Why have an app when only a few things work? I liked the old app better.

Sub Par Application

PowerofVitality routine faults when you try to submit a gym workout, a self reported workout, or a physical activity such as Rec-league sports. Since the more points I have lowers health insurance costs, I want to submit these activities but the application just keeps faulting to a blank screen. Sometimes it fixes itself after 5 or so tries and other times it doesn’t.

Overall, if I wasn’t forced to use this for insurance purposes, there is no way I would use PowerofVitality. Not really helpful at all.

Update: it’s now requiring proof of gym visit now. A gym visit it worth 10 points. You need 2,500 to get to silver status. You now need a receipt of visit or a photo of you at the gym to get the points through a review process. Just shows it’s not about getting people healthier but putting up barriers to whatever cost savings you can get.

If only everything works

I used to use the old app a lot . The most used feature for me was checkin at gym . It was easy to log gym workouts
That feature is not at all available and looks like I have to submit it manually now .
The new app has added lots of new features but only if they work . The performance is really bad . Most of the time you have to kills PowerofVitality since it never loads the page . It’s not the internet issue since I tried it over WiFi and off WiFi ..
I get a lot of error dialog.
Hopefully it’s gets better . But for now it looks bad .

Not ready for prime time

Our company switched from Go365 to Vitality. I have noticed points for challenges not being awarded. Called tech support number which was answered by a human without going through a number of transfers so a plus there. But PowerofVitality needs to work. Support said a system was down so she could not fully resolve my inquiry. Points are apparently not showing up for challenges but the. Showing up on a later date without the original date and not showing in PowerofVitality . A step backward from what we had.

Login Problems

PowerofVitality requires a login every time I open it. On top of that the trust my device check box to skip 2FA doesn’t seem to work at all. There are times when I can’t login at all and I don’t get an error when that happens it just throws you back to the login screen. Not a great experience. The old app seemed to work better. Hope the team can improve the user experience.

Unstable

PowerofVitality (and website) constantly freeze or give error codes. Face ID is needed- 2-factor authentication on your phone every time is crazy.

Glitchy and error filled app AND website

Updated 19Mar to 2 stars — updated app has faceid working

WHERE IS THE VITALITY SQUARES. “Coming in March… “ its almost the end of march!

“Remember this device for 180 days” — more like 1… makes me re-login every time… Getting less errors, from sign-in, to basic navigation between pages, to viewing health results 50-80% of the functionality has errors before refreshing/going back and forth over and over and finally getting it to load. The old app had less functionality, but at least it was reliable and functional. This new one has a LOT of bugs.

Always has errors

Every time I use PowerofVitality and try to set goals, do reflection prompts, or otherwise interact with the content, I inevitably get some form of error message. Sometimes closing PowerofVitality and re-opening works, other times I have to wait several hours to be able to use it again. Very annoying to not have a consistent properly working platform.

Frustrating. Do not recommend.

I use the website and PowerofVitality .

Doesn’t save my log in. —even after accidentally closing PowerofVitality and trying to reopen it.

Does this company get paid per click?? I’m constantly having to click in and out of goals to log days. It needs to be more streamlined, open calendar, select all relevant days, confirm. The three dots allows you to select one day, make it multiple. I don’t have all day to be clicking everything 30x. I want to use PowerofVitality for less than 5 minutes.

I wish I could see a back log of activity days, without going to the points history page. Just put back/forward buttons on the weekly view in the activity tracker.

The priority messages and articles are not home page worthy. Once it’s been read, it should disappear. It’s taking up home screen space and looks cluttered. Have a separate page for “blog.”

My biggest complaint is the way the pages work, pressing back doesn’t always take me where I was. And, if I select a goal, select a day, enter goal, it takes me to the home page. WHY.

User interface needs substantial improvement.

Can log on but can’t not log activities

Great that I. An log on but when I want to log an activity it freezes and just keeps giving me the loading circle. If I create an activity that I am supposed to check in daily how am I going to complete the goal of I cannot check in?

So many issues (but login IS fixed)

UPDATE: the devs DID get the login working for me, and so that is fixed. I think this is still generally a bad service that doesn’t work very well and has numerous structural flaws, but those are more about Vitality than PowerofVitality , I think. So I *will* give credit to the devs for addressing this issue for me!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Constant logins and verifications (even if you check all needed boxes), not logging challenges, graphical issues (doesn’t bother to mark days when you’ve checked in) - add to that all of the other garbage (my favorite is this “your steps only count if you do it in 5k increments, so 9k = 5k!,” but there are numerous other stupid decisions here) that just makes this a poor service compared to my employer’s previous program (Go365), and this is just constant frustration and irritation. But at least they’re making money off of a captive audience, and show no interest in fixing any issues!

Great App if it was 2014

PowerofVitality isn’t terrible, just archaic. My employer switched from Go365 which was mediocre and this is even worse. It’s so tedious to update focus goals. Who has 30 minutes to interact with PowerofVitality every day. More things should be automated and integrated. Where are the challenges?? Very odd that users can’t create challenges also. So many error messages trying to set up focus goals. Points lag woefully. Hopefully it will improve.

Nice App

PowerofVitality works well for what it is intended to do. I haven’t had login troubles like others have with the Face ID enabled. It’s a clean UI and nice design that is pretty responsive. Content is easy enough to find once you get used to knowing where to look.

A few things I noticed is that the UI doesn’t tell you when there are problems with the inputs. I found out the register account fails because I had an underscore in the password. No message, just blocked me from continuing. I noticed the same thing with other input fields. No explanation why; just a red underline or the button is disabled.

I don’t understand some of the point values as well; why is walking only worth a small number of points but watching webinars or reading articles worth a lot more?

Mediocre but can’t log in today

Just had to start using in 2024. Lots of issues, but I let them slide. Lost points here and there. Wouldn’t stay logged on. Was excited when FaceID asked up last week. But now… at login, is just been a spinning circle all day. It’s the same circle that you get when it moves between screens.

Not great

Our school district recently moved over to this from Go 365. After using it for about 2 1/2 months now, I can say I’m not super impressed.

I have had to delete and re-add PowerofVitality twice now because it simply wouldn’t open up. I’ve tried with both face recognition and entering credentials and have had the same issue. Upon opening, I would just get a spinning wheel for a very long time, so I would just give up. Deleting and adding it again does work for a while.

Also, at various times, certain things don’t work within PowerofVitality . Today, I tried to add a new goal, but I was unable to. The message said something about “retrieving information” and to try later.

In Go 365, there were always challenges for the opportunity to gain more points. There have been none added in PowerofVitality.

I think PowerofVitality has a lot of potential, and I hope it will get better in both ease of use and more opportunities to gain more points.

I feel that every time we need put all the login information is too inconvenient. Need to improve on log in process. I wish it would let us save our passwords and use face recognition to log in on the phone APP

Logging in…

Needs Face ID or ability to save password. Typing in log in credentials every time is ridiculous!

Update: I was shown where to find these options in PowerofVitality , and it makes it a lot smoother and more like I will use PowerofVitality regularly. However most apps have the option to turn these features on as you’re creating your credentials, i shouldn’t have to hunt for the feature.

Great content and look!!

Love the enhanced app, great look, awesome new activities and personalization! A few little things here and there as it is brand new (10/1/2023), but Vitality is improving it daily! LOVE IT! 💕💕💕

Love it

Great content and responsive devs!

Great app

So much better than the last app.
