I changed my type of membership this month, and ever since then I have not been able to access NewYorkSportsClub , even though I followed instructions for a new link and password reset from the staff and on NewYorkSportsClub . My major complaint is with the corporate office. There is no tech help line, and in fact no way to reach a person for any issue. And in a Catch-22, I can’t even use their contact function to say NewYorkSportsClub doesn’t recognize my email, because … their contact interface doesn’t recognize it either. (I’ve been entering my phone number each day to access the gym, so my membership is recognized on a local level. )
Having issues resetting password. Then they tell me I need it as the old app is getting shutdown?
You should be able to cancel your membership on NewYorkSportsClub or at least website like with every other subscription service. I should not have to make a phone call to prevent money from leaking out of my bank account due to an inactive gym membership.
App hasn’t worked for two weeks since I started keep on getting same issue no Internet access when I have full Internet access please fix this ASAP
I haven’t been able to access my account for months and nobody has responded to help.
They took a minimally useful apl that told you the gym locations and hours, and made it a complete waste of space app that actually makes you stupider
NewYorkSportsClub doesn’t show opening hours for the individual clubs nor does it include a link to the respective homepage which would give you the information. Overall NewYorkSportsClub has no use for me.
App is completely useless. There is no tech support. I can’t see videos, earn badges, record workouts etc. No one answers chat. No one is willing to help. iPhone 15 pro. Deleted and reinstalled app a number of times. Why have an app?
I am unable to even get into NewYorkSportsClub. It keeps saying that I have a bad connection or something to do with my password blah blah blah in which all the issues it states is unfixable apparently I read reviews and it seems that they’ve been having this problem for years so obviously they’re not gonna fix anything. But I just got a gym membership to around the clock which transferred over to New York sports and I have to punch in my phone number to clock in every day. Unfortunately I can’t go on NewYorkSportsClub to schedule classes. It’s so annoying actually got to go to a computer and reserve my spot for classes that way such an inconvenience when you supposedly have an app that is supposed to make everything convenient for you and I can’t even see my account to my gym lol because it’s supposed to be in NewYorkSportsClub in which I can’t even get into so that’s kind of frustrating and annoying as well.
NewYorkSportsClub does not allow me to add my member card to the Apple wallet, just gives errors. Please fix this it’s an important feature.
NewYorkSportsClub required way too much private information for a fitness app. Uninstalling.
The new app is so bad. Not built with user in mind / what users use NewYorkSportsClub for. I don’t really get how this one is better than the old one…it is significantly worse and super buggy. Had a random notification stuck on my Lock Screen I couldn’t get rid of that I was near a location. Also, the pictures they show in NewYorkSportsClub Store is not what I see in the live app at all. Super confused on what I’m supposed to be seeing. I’ve already had issues with NYSC and honestly this new app might be the final straw that makes me cancel my membership.
So, I have a notification for DAYS now, stuck on my Lock Screen. When I arrived at a club, it let me know! And each time I try to swipe it away, it opens my camera!
If this is any indication of how the new New York Sports Club will be operating, it’s pretty frightening.
I’ve been trying to pay my membership for MONTHS and I can’t get in touch with anyone from NYSC.
Honestly, a disgrace…
This supposedly updated app is not ready for prime tome. Not all the classes are listed and you can’t search clubs in other cities. They need to improve if they want to be competitive with other clubs.
I like to take Body Pump a couple of times a week, and am happy to travel anywhere in Manhattan. NewYorkSportsClub assigns me to a specific club, making the class search feature useless.
NewYorkSportsClub should be updated to allow users to see classes in multiple locations, without having to search each club. And why are some classes listed while others aren’t? Not useful…
I became a member 2 weeks ago. And I can’t enter the sports club neither using NewYorkSportsClub nor with tags (they say don’t give tags anymore). Their software doesn’t work and I can’t get a password to have a digital tag on NewYorkSportsClub to enter the club. Every single time I come to the club I have to enter my phone number and explain my situation to them for 10 minutes. Absolute joke.
NewYorkSportsClub doesn’t even let me get in - gave two different email addresses both at the 145th St and 125 St location but they can’t manage to send me the password to authenticate. It’s already very frustrating before even starting to work out - so now I gotta call them to sign up for a class… thought we were in 2022 and basic technology is supposed to work?! Get a grip.
I like to take classes at various locations based on class type or teacher, but now there is no way to search by these fields. You have to go to each location a check each one. There should be at least a way to tag favorites so you don’t have to keep looking for these classes every day.
Why does “Find a club” show you a bunch of totally random locations on the map, none of them a club?
reset doesn’t include resend invite only reset password. Apparently not using my email as username is problem so now I’m unsuccessful logging. Have to wait til club contacts NYCSC admins to resolve issue & I’ll have to call to reserve spot in classes.
Please make these changes, with the next upgrade:
1 - The sign-in bar code should be the first screen that is displayed, like the older App!
2 - The towel cabinet icon is missing!
What more can I say? Trying to enter a cell phone number (with no other changes) and system INSISTS I must change “highlighted fields” - even though the highlighted fields already have correct info in the correct format (like my date of birth).
Need new equipment. I spend half the time trying to find a bike that works
I wish they showed the occupancy for each club so you could decide when to workout! It’s something that is already in NewYorkSportsClub but disabled
App works well but missing option to add ID to Apple Wallet / Apple Watch.
Seems a little buggy.
Please fix.

NewYorkSportsClub is much much better than the other one. This one makes it easier to see information regarding your classes, bookings, profile, etc… however; They forgot to add the BAR CODE for the Towels Machine. So I guess I would be using both apps? (This review still a 5 Stars) :)
