Lazy dev

The most basic of features you’d want for a financial app are missing. Inconsistencies all over the place. Even when calling support for guidance, we both end up scratching our heads.

Used app to pay off a loan. No autofill? Met with a “write this total down somewhere and make a one time payment on a different screen” message…. not to mention, the payment screen won’t even allow you to make the full payment because payoff amount is larger than the balance on record for onetime payments. Had to run 99% of my transaction through MazdaFinancialServices (Mazda doesn’t take large phone payments)….then call Mazda to make a $30 payment by phone since MazdaFinancialServices wouldn’t allow “overpayment”.

What’s better, after taking my money….I’m finding that the payment hasn’t even technically been applied to my loan. It’s just floating around as a statement credit. I have to call Mazda again to tell them that I’d like the money applied to my loan. Literal 3 day process for something that could be fixed in less than an hour. Guess I know where I’ll apply as a developer if I ever decide to just coast. Clearly zero interest the basics.

Worst ever

I’ve literally never seen such a total failure of a financial app. Nothing works. Beware you could end up REALLY screwing yourself over in MazdaFinancialServices. Payment screens can give errors looking like they failed, and then you enter them again to try again only to find that your request actually went through and now your payment is being entered a second time.

Recurring payments is a joke. Let me know if you ever figure out how to make that do anything. I tried it several times and got failure messages each time and was about to close out of MazdaFinancialServices and give up and realized at the last second that it saved my scheduled payments THREE times. So, yeah, it was going to make triple payments on the next due date.

There should actually be a liability suit against Mazda Financial for putting this dumpster fire of an app out for people to use. Of the user interface is this bad I can only imagine how bad the cybersecurity of their system is.

Use beware!!! Go refinance with some other company that has a decent app and payment system!

This app is a pain

I want to pay towards the principal, but there’s no way I’ve found to do it on MazdaFinancialServices . It says you have to mail them or call to make payments towards the principal, but their phone number just doesn’t work whenever I try to call them at 12:20 central time on a Wednesday. And to mail them you have to have your account number, BUT SURPRISE, there’s no way to see your account number on MazdaFinancialServices . I just want to be able to give these people my money without having to pull my hair out.

Y2K Payment

Made a payment as soon as I got off work a day before my payment was due on the 6th, due date is the 7th. But because it was after their antiquated brick and mortar banking hours, it’s the beginning of the weekend, and Columbus Day on Monday, my payment couldn’t be set up any earlier than the 10th and is past due!?! This is my 8th or 9th vehicle I’ve financed; only used one bank twice so 7 or 8 different companies and this is only one that didn’t just accept a digital payment the day it was made and not as if it was check that couldn’t be accepted till an actual building has to be open to accept it…

Poor update to your site

When you updated your site, you failed to allow for the full checking account, routing number and account number to be transferred over. This is caused a delay in payment for me and I wonder how many other people since the programmers failed to have the data transferred. It was only upon me noticing that a transfer had not been made out of my bank account on the date that I had set - that I had to go online and find out that you only transferred the last four digits of the account number in my account, which did not allow the payment to be processed.

Non-secure activation app

If you use non-secure http protocol activation account via email like in this application does then you should think about what can happen with your financial information. Would you trust company and its application what else it does in non-secure way? I am reporting this to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. There is reason why people like myself working in payments security in banks may not want to use applications like this for “convienience”. Think twice. Checks are outdated method, but far more secure than information on Internet especially when applications like tgat are written by security ignorants.

Never buying a Mazda again and can’t wait to get rid of this one

It’s completely unacceptable that I can’t access my information at any given time, if I wish to do so. I’m paying way too much for my car to not be able to utilize your resources. Scheduled maintenance is for 6/15 and it’s the 14th so not understanding why I can’t view anything. I have things to take care of and need the information on your site/app whatever and neither is working. On top of that, I’m completely unable to send an email to you. If everything is going to be down, you need to have back up people to answers phones or on chat because just not giving us an option to view our information when we’re paying a bunch of money to you for a car is shameful and disrespectful.

App could use improvements

Where do I start?

First - I get a payment confirmation that says my payment has BEEN processed (not ‘is being’) and so I move a little money to another account and then a week later get an email saying my autopay didn’t go through.

THEN I find out that it canceled my future auto pay without any notification so the next one doesn’t go through.

THEN I find out the bank account I had it drawing from was removed altogether and an old account I’d used once and has been closed for at least a year was re-connected.

THEN I find out that updating my home address in MazdaFinancialServices means nothing because you have to call to have it changed (so why is that even an option in MazdaFinancialServices ?).

Two stars for giving me a place to pay more easily when it works. Otherwise, this is one of the worst financial apps I’ve used.

Poor UI and functionality

When scheduling a payment, the red dot for the due date does not appear on any date of the month.

The toggle buttons to manage various settings are confusing. Which one is on and off? Proper UI standards show the color green when a choice is activated. Both yes and no just show a gray color.

Please have an auto pay function that pays on the due date. A recurring payment on the same day each month could end up being on a weekend or holiday resulting in a late payment.

Always have trouble with this site.

It seems that every time I go to use my password, for some reason I can never login correctly the first time. I could not get on the website through my PC to pay my bill. I tried the MS edge browser and Firefox browser, but for some reason the page goes blank. I tried to login going through the MAZDA financial services website login link. The page came up to login and went blank quickly. Don’t know what the issue could be there, but it’s not allowing me to pay my bill today. I finally logged on using MazdaFinancialServices on my phone, but I still had to change my password. I know I have fat fingers at times logging in, but even if the password looks correct, I still can’t get in.

Not working

There are too many error messages and MazdaFinancialServices fails to load most of the time. If you set up recurring payments you’ll still get a defaulted mail as MazdaFinancialServices is unable to process payments. I worked on linking direct bank account but that does not work either. The system is pathetic to use and needs review as it gets frustrating making one time payments all the time.

Principal Only Payment

I use MazdaFinancialServices to make payments and check my status. I enjoy MazdaFinancialServices . I make additional payments and was watching the balance due grow in the negative but not seeing much of the principal shrinking. I make 3 payments a month, 2 extra small payments and the regular payments. In MazdaFinancialServices there is nowhere to pay principal only and you must call each time to state you want that money to go towards the principal. Now, they are collecting interest on the principal even though you have paid additional until you call up and tell them to put it on the principal. My mortgage I can make additional payments specifically for the principal, past car loans they have placed anything extra towards the principal automatically. Why is it different with Mazda Finance? Just put the option in MazdaFinancialServices or allow the selection of all additional funds please apply to principal or a selection to apply to future payments. Do a service to your customers by making it simple.

Site never works

This site and app never work. I can never get onto pay my bill or check any of my finances. You have to try it multiple times and it finally lets you in. Somebody needs to do some work on MazdaFinancialServices so that those of us that are customers can easily access our financials at any time. It makes it extremely difficult to pay your bills on time and online.

Even the app has Banker’s hours?

Tried making a payment via MazdaFinancialServices around 9pm and it wouldn’t let me. I’m not talking about same-day payment, I couldn’t schedule ANY future payment until it was next day during business hours. What advantage is there using the mobile app if I can just call customer service during business hours? So far this is disappointing.

Not sure!! If it’s the app or something else

Today, I got a notification that I missed a payment it wasn’t supposed to be. Since I sat up auto payment under the website. Since I started using MazdaFinancialServices , the auto pay went off somehow…. But gotta fix it again on MazdaFinancialServices . Cannot tell if it’s a bug or I accidentally turned it off on MazdaFinancialServices .

Inconsistent

Too often face recognition does not work. And, a few times (not even a handful, though), the system is down and I can’t make a payment at that time. When making a payment it seems there’s no bank account selected, once I click on it, I can verify there is. The bank account field should always show my bank; I believe it is extremely rare for a person to be switching bank accounts.
Otherwise, it is an easy app to use. Nice and simple. Pretty straightforward. I really like that.

Helpful, but could be better

I open MazdaFinancialServices , I click pay and my monthly bill is paid. I do wish it had a few extra options instead of having to call customer support in. This can include the website too.
Such as overpaying on your monthly bill in order to bring next month’s bill down, it would be nice if you could select whether to make the extra go towards your principal and not just next month’s bill or to submit a request to change the due date of a payment due.
Well, that might be a while. It would be nice if the company would look into it.

Awful app

Usually, I keep my mouth closed when I have something negative, but I feel this needs to be written… MazdaFinancialServices is a problem literally every time I open it, something goes wrong every single time and I’m constantly updating MazdaFinancialServices. It’s just an awful app and needs lots and lots of work.

User friendly app

MazdaFinancialServices is very user-friendly, and I like that there’s a payoff quote amount right on the first screen, along with a very easy to find payment button. Also, if you’re past due, you can still set up a payment for a future date and submit it for any amount.

Mazda car loan payment app

All the important information such as loan percentage, length of car payment in months and the amount due per month is seen. Payment is as easy as a swipe. I found it very easy to use.
