I started reading a book on Yonder without logging in with my Google account. I have been doing this for a while now. I also bought coins from their coin shop for ridiculous prices but shame on me for that. However, this morning as I was trying to purchase the next chapter, I was forced to log on and so I did. My coins were gone. I logged out and tried to use the app without signing in just as I had been doing. Not only did my coin balance not show up (around 350 or so), but the app pushed me all the way back to the beginning where I had to start purchasing the chapters again at chapter 9. I had originally been on chapter 29. Terrible, awful app. I was actually willing to pay for coins but now I’m deleting the app and urging others to do so as well.

I have used this app since they started and loved that a lot of the Weston’s I read I can get way more detail and story line on. I specifically pick stories that are free daily pass since I am will to spend $5 here and there if I get bought up in a chapter but not $100+ to read a book. But they have slowly turned off the free daily unlock pass on all of the 6 stories I had been reading but 1, and I’m sure it’s only a matter of time on that one as well.
It really makes me angry that I put all that time into reading the stories and will never be able to finish them because they changed it all with no notice, I just go on one day and have to spend money.
Steer clear from the app, it will get you hooked on a free story and then pull the rug out from under you and tell you that you only have to spend $50 to finish your free stories since you read the first half for free.

This is the first and most likely last time I’ll ever write a review. I’ve never written one in the AppStore because I’ve never been this outraged by a company before in my life. You’re telling me to unlock 1 chapter it costs 29 coins which you can buy 1000 for 10$. So you can only unlock around 30 chapters with that and usually that would be pretty reasonable, except for the part that most Korean web novels that are on this site are a 2 minute per chapter read. Before Yonder was introduced into the game everything was fine, fan translations were doing well, authors books were being published overseas, and they still made money. There’s other companies like WuxiaWorld that have much better translations and paywalls. This company was just solely created to generate revenue without actually caring about their readers nor authors. Terrible app, terrible paywall, atleast try to listen to your reviews.
