I love this app and would completely recommend it to anyone who does 3D printing or 3D modeling because its mobile thingiverse but a few weeks ago it just stopped working I’m guessing that they decided they didn’t want maintain the app anymore so they just stopped which is a shame I’m not a professional 3D printer person or anything but i love to 3D print and this app made it easy that when I’m not at home on my computer i could quickly open up and find a model that i need and save so i can print it later so I don’t forget about it and. Know i can use the website on my phone still but the app made it so much more convenient and now I can’t do it as well if it worked i would recommend it to anybody but since it stopped its just dumb

Makerbot updated their site (it’s a lot more usable now), but the app was not updated and the search function only returns one Thing created by “(null)” and has no information, despite the number of results it potentially has. UI is navigation is cumbersome with no clear way to return to the main menu. Featured things doesn’t appear to have been really updated in months. I expected the app to be updated soon after the site was, but it appears not. Hopefully they do soon; I enjoyed being able to look for and collect stuff to print spur of the moment when I’m not home.

Surprisingly bad on an iPad. In the maker app space you would think the iPad would be more natural device (pen support, large display while still being mobile, etc) this app is surprisingly bad. Granted they don’t claim iPad support, just iPhone, but any app that has had a minimum of care and feeding over the last 5 years should support both. This app sadly has had no love, no support. One update to support newer iPhones in the last 5 years, and it shows. Continue to use Thingiverse’s website, just don’t bother with the app (on any device).
