Great App

I've found VonsDeliveryPickUp to be easy to use and well thought out. Being able to use a historical list of previously purchased items saves a lot of time. The main list has items grouped together logically for the most part. For the occasional item that can't be found, the search function works well.

My main gripes are 1) that the function buttons at the bottom of the window get in the way. It would be better to move them to the top of the window to make it harder to accidentally bump them. And 2) If you do accidentally bump one of those buttons, it's not easy to go back to where you were. A simple "back" button is needed that will take you back to where you were. Right now, if you bump one of those buttons at the bottom of the window it takes three steps to get back to the list you were on but you still need to scroll through the list to get back to where you left off.

A couple more things: The check-out process for the new version of VonsDeliveryPickUp seems more cumbersome than for the old version. Not sure exactly why. Also, an increasing number of items are showing as being "unavailable". Some of these I regularly purchased for the last couple of years and now they have been unavailable for two to six weeks. I'm beginning to think something is wrong with the unavailable listing system in VonsDeliveryPickUp .

Overall, though, VonsDeliveryPickUp works well.




Declined in quality & service

I used to love Vons delivery and used them for over a year. Their customer service used to be great and their delivery drivers were well trained. Recently, they began using door dash to deliver to my neighborhood. The quality of service is not the same. After today's delivery fiasco, I do not plan on using Vons delivery anymore. Long story short the driver didn't deliver my groceries because he couldn't find the key pad to get into my apartment complex. I called customer service with over an hour left of my delivery window after I was unable to connect with the driver. Three hours later of being on the phone on and off with different people, they agreed to send one of their employees to deliver my groceries. When the groceries finally arrived they were in poor condition. The produce was bruised and an item was missing. I'm not even sure if the perishables are safe to eat because I'm afraid the food wasn't stored properly. This was extremely inconvenient, defeating the purpose of using the delivery app in the first place. I might as well use instacart, they at least offer a variety of stores to shop from.

VonsDeliveryPickUp needs to be updated a little for better user ability. It works pretty good but needs things like a running total, on an iPhone the coupon clippings are behind the item quantity, it can be hard to find things if you don’t have the exact name, and there should be a way to search for every item organically in a global way that applies the search to all items.
It’s a great service for home bound but it takes forever to get the order done because it’s hard to use. Sometimes it’s just faster to go shopping!
The delivery guys from Vons are always super nice to my 81 y/o mother.
There is also no way to apply credits or make returns.
Needed service that is very appreciated but needs some refinement.




Worst online grocery app

I would leave 0 stars, my delivery was scheduled between 8-10am and driver didn’t arrive until almost 11am. So first he hands me the receipt papers and I’m looking at it all confused, #1 there was a list of items I didn’t receive because of “out of stock” which no one bothered to inform me so I just didn’t get them, #2 there was a short list of items substituted for items I originally ordered without contacting me in any way they just took it upon themselves to substitute different baby food that I didn’t even want like chicken noodle umm ya my son doesn’t like that flavor at all and I specifically wanted the danimals cotton candy yogurt pouches my daughter absolutely loves them but gave me the strawberry banana ones, #3 there were several items that I ordered and didn’t even get but was still charged for each item. Will not be shopping here again. Very poor service.




Meltdown

I ordered our weekly shopping yesterday that tallied over $300. For 12 hours I was unable to check out with several credit cards all refused. These are healthy cards. In trying to reach the 877 number for deliveries there was nothing but endless holds and no info nor real person. A functionary at my La Quinta store informed me late in the day of their new app and that should now be downloaded. There was no notice of a new app. And that new app does not allow you to sign in and is missing the aisles component. Hey, things were working well. You’ve gone and ruined your site. You won’t be getting many if any orders. Shame.




Online grocery shopping

Love VonsDeliveryPickUp , easy to use. I placed a grocery order and was scheduled to arrive on Wednesday between 6-10, at 9:45 pm I get a call from driver he is unable to deliver. The next day I call customer service to schedule redelivery, I was on hold for 30-45 min, once someone answered I was able to reschedule for the next day at 8. To my surprise, my groceries were delivered at exactly at 8 am. Order was complete, one damaged you hurt and one package of meat patties was missing, but they delivered ground beef instead which I didn’t really mind.

I will order again, since I don’t enjoy grocery shopping.




Not enough product information

Although I love Vons online ordering, I would like to make a suggestion. It would be so much more helpful to see a more detailed description of products, or at least allow customers to see the front and back of cans, boxes and packages, with either a zoom-in feature or show it large enough to read. There were a lot of items I wanted to order but not there wasn’t enough information in the description. Thank you.




Online shopping

I really like the online shopping
My only problem is you can’t make images larger so if they tell you item in lbs you can’t see how many come in a pack for example hotdogs or sandwich slices. And a lot of items in my Von’s coupons are not offered in my Von’s delivery app.

As well was wondering why my delivery comes from the La Quinta store that is 25 minutes away from my home when we have a Von’s 5 minutes away? You could Save on gas and give more free shipping promos.




Super convenient

Shopping this way is helpful for many good people. Opens up a world of its own, and as long as the pricing is consistently beneficial to shop this way, it is definitely a plus. Vons Delivery inspires more confidence than most other companies that offer delivery. If, and when, Weekly Ads can also be taken advantage of, then I am convinced many more would use Vons Delivery. VonsDeliveryPickUp works very well, and past deliveries to our home have been successful. 4.5 Stars.




Awesome but sometimes food is expired

Love using the delivery options especially with the $20 off coupon. Super useful when making recipes from scratch and instead of stalking the isles for small ingredients I’ve never even heard of I can easily find what I need online. My only complaint is every delivery I’ve gotten some of the items are expired or next day expiration, for me it’s been the silk yogurt and organic sliced apples every time. Learned to just not order them. Returning/ exchanging easy but would appreciate the person packing my order to do a thorough check.

Update:
There is a serious issue making this new app worthless. I went in to add to my cart. Every single item in purchase history says (Item not available). Are you kidding me? So you have nothing to sell? VonsDeliveryPickUp looked promising, something went wrong!
Thank you for fixing the horrendous shopping experience for blind customers. While this new design has a couple focus bugs, cut my shopping in half. Old UI was an accessibility nightmare. I didn’t know the cost until payment screen. Where new UI tallies cart.
I’m afraid to say I like new design. That’s when companies go and mess up a good thing. Build on this accessible design, fix the focus for VO.




Waste of time

Decided to try out the drive up and go ordering was easy, got my notification that my order was ready. Arrived at the specified arrival time. Called 4 times before receiving an answer. I waited about 10 minutes then received a call saying they couldn’t find my order and they were shopping for it now. The point of this was so to make time more efficient and not have to deal with a toddler in the store. Now my toddler and I had to wait over 30 more minutes for them to get the order and bring it out. I could have just gone on and done it myself. Not sure if I will try it again.




Disappointed

I received my delivery and found that my order was not 100% correct with the pricing. Most discounts were given but prices I expected after clicking on them were not received for example I ordered 6 cans of signature beans that were suppose to be on sale and 2 were discounted the others weren’t. I was supposed to receive free potato’s and I was charged. This is the second time it happened with Vons but I never had it happen with Albertsons! This will be my last delivery from Vons!




IF IT AIN’T BROKE...

Was a great app & now it’s horrible!
Start scrolling through items, but be careful cause you’re going to add a lot of items by accident as you go! But who cares about that because when you go to checkout you can’t even after you fill every section out - the place order button doesn’t allow you to click!!! I guess I won’t be getting my delivery tomorrow especially since doing it through a browser doesn’t work either! I sat on hold for over an hour to see if I could place my order that way - NOPE!
According to them it’s been going on for days & their advice is to keep trying😖




Vons Home Delivery

I’m disabled and need assistance to go grocery shopping so I rarely go to the store. I’ve been using Vons home delivery service from the very beginning. Very easy to use. I now make orders in my iPhone. My prior orders are saved for easy reference. Deliveries are on time. Drivers are courteous and helpful. Mistakes, which are infrequent, are easily rectified by calling customer service.

Highly recommend!
