Flawed App- can’t always save your data

I have used this app to track my bike rides, but when I finished the ride, I tried to save it. I did this many times before but once again it lost all the data. There is a major problem in this app and I recommend you stay away from it. There are other apps that do the same thing.
Not consistent

I have used this app for a while and it used to work fine. This latest version is not consistent. I ride my bike the same route every day and it is 5.1 miles. This app records everything fro 2 miles to 7 miles and sometimes a top speed of 78 mph on a bike! My phone is on a quality mount on my handle bars.
Distance indicator

For some reason, when my route is a closed loop, the program indicates that the travel distance is zero.
The route shows up accurately on the tracking map but it does not show the traveler distance.
On another program, I’m able to get the correct distance so that helps me track my efforts.
