The ads have been getting worse in TechPort, more frequent. Today TechPort passed along a fraudulent ‘you phone has been compromised ad.’
Yep delete.

Most of the sources require a subscription and only show you two or three lines of the article. It would be nice to be able to remove those so they do not show up in the ‘latest news’ feed.

Every time the developer updates TechPort the adds reappear. This is totally unacceptable and should be fixed. I shouldn’t have to restore my purchase constantly. My guess is this breaks App Store rules and so I will be reporting them.

The widget is trash; Constantly has to be reset. The settings in TechPort do not stick.

Not ready for iOS14, widgets missing

Cant find any way to remove feeds and that leaves a lot of junk in there that only gives you a headline while putting the rest behind a paywall.

I purchased TechPort within about 3 minutes of downloading it and opening it up. I love the aesthetics of it and the way things are laid out, as well as the massive amount of sources to pull news from.
Shortly after purchasing it, I realized that the articles that I view within TechPort are only partially there. You actually have to click a link that opens the web page version of said article, loading all the ads and just really taking away from the experience.
What a bummer. If you could change it so that the full articles are contained within TechPort , this is hands down a 5 star app. I appreciate your hard work on this and wish all the best!

Too many news source and I cannot customize it myself.

I do like TechPort and ready it practically daily. I have a request: please highlight the current news site in the menu. Often times when I read news of a particular site, then tap on the menu to switch to another site, it isn't highlighted and makes to pick the news that I have already read. Thanks!

Good, but I hate how the summaries stop in random places. When you click to view the whole article you have to scroll to find your place again. It would be better if it at least brought you to the place where the summary left off!
I like the summaries but trying to scroll every time I determine an article is interesting is frustrating.
If that was fixed it'd be 5 stars for sure!

For all of you technology geeks, including myself, TechPort is very useful. Before downloading this app, I had 3 different apps for technology news sources. TechPort provides many more of these news sources. I would like to see a feed for CNET, however. I also compared several of these news source apps to the this app feed. Exactly up to date as far as I can tell. There is one downside. Upon selecting an article, TechPort provides the first paragraphs or two. If you wish to read more, TechPort navigates you to the news source's web page, but directly to the article you selected. This can cause you to lose your place. If TechPort contained the entire article, I would give this 5 stars no problem.

TechPort is nice and clean but initial setup of your favs is laborious.

Within seconds I realized TechPort was made for me. The brutally intuitive design instantly answered some major complaints I've had about other news apps. I literally went to my phone's home screen and deleted an entire folder filled with now useless tech news apps.
• For those who complain about having to open Safari to read full articles, I am sure there's plenty of hoops to jump through to legally get full-length articles displayed - and it'd probably mean more ads or a higher premium. For 2 bucks to remove the already unobtrusive ads, this is a steal!
• Also, using Safari means I can open the article in reader mode (Safari's night mode) - which for some dumb reason - other iOS browsers don't have this feature. Yes, I know you can use smart invert, but in many apps it inverts images too.
• I cannot overstate the ease of use for TechPort. At any time within TechPort , with one tap (or swipe) you can view the long list of major tech news publications. You can switch from list to thumbnail view. You can add favorites, etc.
It's brilliantly simple. Stop reading this stupid review and go download it before TechPort blows up and the developer charges for it. I'd pay 5 bucks for TechPort, easy.

TechPort has everything for those interested in staying apprised if our ever changing social climate. Relative news in one handy place; from up and coming video games to astro physics to the future of urban agriculture. You name it and you can find it easily w/ TechPort. It doesn't get any better than this.
