97X Tampa Bays New Alternative Reviews

97XTampaBaysNewAlternative doesn’t load properly. They tell you to go the 97XTampaBaysNewAlternative to enter a keyword for a contest but there’s nowhere to enter the word.

This was a good idea but then you start to vote and realize it has no effect on the actual music being played. The DJs have complete control over the songs. Yet they advertise "you control the music". I'm sure there is some influence by the votes, but that is not what decides the songs. I've stopped listening to their station because of the lack of diverse music. Every hour is the same songs.

For one you really need to solve the issue of making it useable without encouraging cell phone use during driving. You can't have votes from song to song meaning you should each get 1 vote say every hour and the top 10 songs or whatever get played through that hour. It needs to also be tally based meaning if this song has the most votes then its the top song. I found myself battling with the other voters to be the last vote to win not necessarily the most voted song.

97XTampaBaysNewAlternative is terrible! Most of the time it will not work using Apple play in the car. If I open it on my phone to play in the car, it continues to play after I turn the car off.

I love listening to this station in the car but 97XTampaBaysNewAlternative has continuous commercials about feminine products, douches, enough already had to delete app!

I do miss the old X.

Some improvements could be made:
1. The layout seems just not as sleek as it could be. It also takes a while for things to load.
2. It'd be cool to see the actual amount of upvotes/downvotes the songs have so we don't get our hopes up that a song will be played next, and then just see that it's still last.
3. Add lyrics to the currently playing page

I love that 97XTampaBaysNewAlternative lets me see the songs that are coming up next! There are a great mix of artists and songs to listen to and the fact that you can record yourself and move around the order of the songs makes 97XTampaBaysNewAlternative wonderfully interactive! I strongly recommend 97X!

GREAT JOB, 97X! This is the best thing to happen to Tampa Bay radio in YEARS! Love the new format and alternative/indie music style. It's about time somebody went for the jugular of us Gen Xers! Just awesome. One minute I'm tripping down memory lane back in my college days with REM and "Orange Crush", and the next minute, I'm hearing an awesome new sound from Mumford & Sons. Love 97XTampaBaysNewAlternative and look forward to seeing the future improvements as 97XTampaBaysNewAlternative further develops with time!

I’m blown away by the concept and functionality of 97XTampaBaysNewAlternative. It delivers smooth performance and a robust feature set via an easy-to-understand interface, but more importantly, it puts programming directly in our hands — we, the listeners.

In order to keep up with our changing tastes (and stay on the air), radio stations undergo the occasional, painstaking process of sometimes-sweeping format changes to ensure that they’re accommodating the tastes of their listeners. In their current format update, 97X has boldly embraced a new, disruptive technology that directly taps into those all-important audience preferences by giving us the keys and putting us in the driver’s seat. I've only been using 97XTampaBaysNewAlternative for a week, but it already feels like this is our station now, and they’ve made it easier than ever for us to tell them what we want to hear by releasing this free app to us.

Change is hard, and a format make-over usually means sacrificing some of the broadcaster's fans to gain wider or more focused appeal. Some established listeners will find it difficult to adjust, but to those of us that “get it” understand that we now have a place of our own on the dial. Get 97XTampaBaysNewAlternative , get involved, and have your voice heard. Thank you, 97x!

It’s the US’ most interesting radio station. It allows you to vote songs you want (although it’s a shame that they dropped the Play More/Less feature); and lets you go on the air if you’re chosen to. You can also win loads of “badges” with good prizes around! Perfect station for your alternative rock favorites!

Love the music

When I moved away from the Bay Area, I really missed my favorite station. Now, I can listen on my phone wherever I am. Not to mention, I can also vote for what music I want and find out about upcoming free shows and competitions.

I understand change is scary for u... But this awesome! I'll miss the crew but they all have jobs, and now we can choose songs?! How can u be mad about this?!
