This was our first time using Carmel Limo and we will never use them again. They canceled our reservation the night before we arrived to San Diego, California which was super stressful with 3 little kids, a bunch of luggage and car seats. We ended up having to take the airports free shuttle to the train station and take the coaster to our destination which ended up being 1/4 of the price so I wasn’t super upset but then they canceled our pick up reservation when it was time for us to go home only 30 minutes before we had to be at the airport. It sent me into a panic trying to figure out what my little family was going to do as our flight was leaving in 3 hours and the airport was an hour away. I ended up having to get an Uber which again was also much cheaper and the Uber driver showed up 15 minutes later. THANK GOODNESS FOR UBER! Carmel Limo then told me that since I had booked my reservation with Expedia I had to contact them for a refund and it’s been a hassle trying to get that back even though it wasn’t our fault at all.

Reserved a car to pick me up from the airport. When I arrived and used the app to say I was ready to go, it just had a spinning wheel and said it was trying to locate my car. I had to call Carmel and was told to go to a specific pickup location and a car would be there in 5-7 minutes. I went where I was told, no car. The app still said it was trying to locate my car. 15 minutes later, called them again and they said they couldn’t locate my car either. After being put on hold twice, I was finally told they didn’t have a car there and I would have to wait 10-30 minutes for one to show up. I made the reservation over a week ago. Gave them my arrival time and flight number. How hard is it to have a car where it’s supposed to be at the time it was reserved for? Why even bother to make a reservation. I have used Carmel frequently in the past, but never again. I’m deleting the app and finding a new car service that is capable of getting you a car when they say they will.

I had used Carmel from LaGuardia Airport with no problems. I decided to use them while traveling to Orange County California. Our driver that was suppose to pick us up from the airport was in an accident which is understandable, but shouldn’t they have a back up plan of something like that happens? Our group had to separate and book two Ubers. The cost ended up being more getting two ubers. Carmel told me they would refund my card which they still haven’t done. I had already booked the return trip to the airport and thought it would be fine. What are the chances another driver would be in an accident. Well they weren’t in an accident but they just didn’t have a car! Canceled our trip the night before we were suppose to be picked up! Booked with Uber again. I was refunded that amount but I’m still waiting for my first canceled trip refund. I would not use Carmel again on the Los Angeles area. Very unreliable, very disappointing.
