Addition Financial Reviews

I’ve been a member for 30 years, but AdditionFinancial and the online banking website haven’t been working for at least 2 weeks and it’s to the point where it’s time to switch to another bank. I can’t access my accounts. If you call them, their system is down. If you’re lucky, you can get onto the website or app for a couple minutes at best. I can’t pay my Addition Financial credit card bill because it stops working before I can make the transfer. Completely unacceptable for a bank. Seriously concerning when you can’t access your accounts.

I used this bank for a car loan. I had to open an account to do so. Paid every payment on time. I left about 300 dollars in the account so it would be there for the next car loan. I rcvd a letter that account was closed. Called bank and they said I owed them. I never rcvd a letter money was taken from my account. Apparently they charged so many fees that every penny was gone. The clerk was rude, I was treated poorly. Don’t use this bank, I prefer Suntrust. A letter to let me know fees were being charged after my car loan was paid off would have been nice. I was never told that would happen. Stay away!

I just switched to Addition Financial last week and the only interaction I’ve had so far is with the mobile app. It is extremely basic and outdated. My phone cannot save my login/password so I have to enter the info every time I log in, and no Face ID or thumbprint feature like other bank apps. Where is the mobile check deposit feature that AdditionFinancial preview displays?? If the log in session times out, there is no “back” button so I have to force close AdditionFinancial completely and open it back up. Terribly behind the times and subpar, hopefully not a sign of how all interactions with this bank will be. I also don’t love that I will be charged an $8 fee if I don’t use the bill pay feature often enough. What is that about?

I went to the bank today to exchange some coins I rolled myself. First they would not take my rolled coin, next their machine wasn’t working to count which would cost me 2% of the money. Finally ghe tellers were rude and mocked us as we left.
To be a bank and refuse us currency to a customer of 20 plus years is unacceptable. Even worse I went to chase and no questions asked exchanged the money.
I use to recommend this bank but my first bad experience was when my credit went down bc of financial hardship and what happened my credit card went from approximately 9% to 17%. Now this? I’m going to look for a new financial institution.

I use this bank for a car loan I have on my first car. This is where I just pay my car off and to do so I have to transfer funds from my checking account. It takes 5-7 days just to send in some money for my car and it’s just nerve wracking when my car payments due and the payment won’t go through fast enough and the days are passing. I have to get used to it and plan way ahead and that’s my responsibility yes, but I’m today’s age it shouldn’t take so long. A few days sure not almost a week. AdditionFinancial overall is slow just to maneuver through and there’s no online support for car loans specifically so you’re pretty much on your own unless you have someone who knows AdditionFinancial .

Since institution transferred over to addition financial the Updated app is always showing error. Frequently when I attempt online banking it says error and try again later. Also, if u want to check transactions it goes the the recent ones despite asking for the last 30, 60, 90 days. There is no where to go to next page. I am quickly losing faith with the new bank changes. And I was with previous bank for 20 years.

I have been with addition since they took over the previous credit union. I don’t mind the institution itself, but AdditionFinancial is really not that good. I am constantly having to delete it and reinstall it because at some point it just stops recognizing my password, or my Face ID, even though every other app still functions appropriately. the most recent issue is that it just keeps spinning when trying to login, in an area where every other app, including downloads, and updates to large apps is working at pretty high speed.

While as of the most recent update, the interface and features of AdditionFinancial have been greatly improved, it has caused signins to be extremely slow and unreliable. On multiple occasions have I waited at the spinning “wait” icon only to be rewarded with “an error occurred” pop up. This has continuously happened over the past few months irrespective of internet connection type, time of day, or location. As a result, checking your balance is better handled using the website on a computer, or through a third party app; however I should not have to do either to do so.

Overall, AdditionFinancial is pretty decent. It just takes some getting used to. Honestly, the only complaint I have would be that there is no card management. Almost every other mobile banking app has a way to manage each of your debit or credit cards. If you ever needed to lock your card in an emergency, you would have to call and have them lock or cancel your card. This is not something major, but should definitely be added!!!!

I gave it only 4 stars but I would have given it a 4.5 star rating if it was available. I think in my opinion the application still needs some improvement to make it a 5 star review. I would like to see less need to authenticate my account as much as I do, yes I understand that it is a security issue but still it needs to occur less often. I wish I could use facial recognition or fingerprint verification as a means to sign in.

I also would like to see the joint account separate from my private account so I can have some acceptable amount of privacy that all my information for both of my accounts does not just show up for anyone else to see what both accounts balances are.

I don’t have access to my wife’s account but she does have access to my personal account when she needs access to bill payer.

The joint account should be accessible to both of us.

I don’t have a branch in the city that I moved to so AdditionFinancial saves me about a half hour drive to deposit checks. It would be good if more employees understood AdditionFinancial . I did not like the idea of installing AdditionFinancial on my phone, wanted to install it on my laptop. Eventually found out that’s not possible. It was not clear to anyone I spoke with initially that the option to do a mobile deposit was only available on AdditionFinancial ., but not the website. Also, I made a mistake when inputting the amount of a check. Realized it immediately after the deposit was accepted, everything else was right. The only way to fix any deposit mistake is by going in person to a branch. Seems to me simple obvious mistakes should be fixable via phone call or AdditionFinancial should allow you to delete or fix it.

AdditionFinancial was recently updated and I couldn't be happier with all of the improvements. Fast Balances is easier to find, and the look and feel is a bit sleeker. I also have fewer issues at sign in, and it just seems to be a big step up.

The latest update to AdditionFinancial has added a much more intuitive UI, it has increased the responsiveness of AdditionFinancial , and added a few QOF features that have been missing. I am looking at you biometric locks and many more.

Overall, I am very happy with the direction AdditionFinancial is moving. It’s worth a download.

Easy to navigate, easy to use. Convenient. I feel like AdditionFinancial is user friendly and reliable. With a teenager needing access to her account for more reasons now that she has a job and bills, being able to walk her through AdditionFinancial set her mind at ease and made everything so much less intimidating.

AdditionFi Mobile has been significantly improved since I last reviewed it in May 2019. The mobile deposit feature now works, the user interface has been improved. I also found out how to log in with my fingerprint/face (from the Profile menu option if I recall correctly), so this is a 5-star app! The only thing I'd improve is the amount of horizontal space occupied by the external accounts page, since scrolling horizontally can cause the menu to open.

I moved to another city in Florida and the closest branch is 2+ hours away. I have been with Addition Financial for 30 years and did not want to change banks. AdditionFinancial on my phone is perfect for me. I do all of my banking using AdditionFinancial or accessing the website on my laptop. AdditionFinancial is user friendly and I am happy that I get to stay with Addition Financial.

I signed up for AdditionFinancial because I don’t have a branch close to where I live. With my debit card I have access to pay bills online and to make check deposits through AdditionFinancial . I am notified of my balance daily. I am also notified immediately of any charges I make using the debit card. This is so convenient.

Latest upgrade took a step backwards, Bill Pay lost all of account history and payment information for one account and electronic payment is no longer available as well, it now has to MAIL CHECKS.

This is one of the best app really straight forward the information that you want to see is right there in the first screen I love it! Great app offers the best security login access like touch print and FaceID very helpful you don’t have to type in every time you want to check out account is just perfect the only thing and is no a big deal is I’ll definitely love if is a little faster from one screen to another but hey is fine like what is it now so thanks for the great app.

App is good in terms of functionality, viewing important information and making payments BUT there really needs to be a Face ID login implementation added as having to always type your account number and password takes too long and is annoying. Otherwise pretty good app.
