Purchased the dramatization of the Bible 3 years ago. For the 1st 6 months both the Old Testament and New Testament worked fine. I could listen to it all day. Eventually the Old Testament stopped working that till this very day only the New Testament can be heard. One has to read the Old Testament-of you Have poor vision as I do reading it Then makes it extremely difficult to do. Hopefully it gets fixed soon for it Was my main purpose for ordering this.. simply so I can listen to it. Otherwise it’s a waste of money.

Your new app update doesn’t deserve ANY stars in my review! It’s AWFUL!! All of my favorite audio-on-demand shows are missing. I don’t want to watch the radio shows! I want to listen to Open Line with Fr. Larry! Fr. Mitch, and all the others! Why did you take them off! There isn’t even an audio on demand icon anymore. I have limited internet here and video takes up a lot more internet allowance. I’m so upset that about this new update that I’m deleting your app. This used to be my favorite app, but since you removed the only things I like about it, I’m going to delete it.

IMO the new design is a hodgepodge of content rolled together without proper organization and looks like an old car radio. EWTN would benefit from the developers re-reading the Apple Human Interface Guidelines (especially the section about navigation) and thinking about how to structure content instead of putting a tab bar, hamburger menu, and button grid all on one screen (that is then cut off at the bottom by a decorative image showing gray lines).

Also, the search page is very unclear. It only searches the Bible, but is labeled "Search" and is on the same tab bar with Bible, schedules, and home (which implies that it is a peer to schedules and home, not specifically tied to Bible). Combine that with the filter selector having only two letter abbreviations and the only way to tell what it does is to do a search and see what happens.

this app has great content, and I appreciate the effort it takes to make an app, but this feels like an early beta.

This site as nice a few years back. It now seems to be full of up sells i.e. new car salesman tactics. 20 bucks for just the New Testament audio is absurd. There are numerous free apps with narrated audio bible. I guess it's o.k for people who have money to throw away but they already make money when you download EWTN by bulk harvesting data, as with any app, not to mention donations through EWTN , TV and online. Then there are little odds and ends here and there to loosen up your purse strings. Seems like a sales funnel to me. I would have hoped the word of the Lord meant more than earnings.

This used to work with my streaming device but the last 6 months or so it won’t. We are forced to just watch it on my small phone screen. We love to watch the World Over and since we don’t have cable, this is our only way. Is it just my app or is anyone else having issues?

I downloaded EWTN to watch a video on demand that was available for free for a month. I didn’t find a chromecast option to stream the video on my tv. I am not sure if I will have to go to my pc, use Chrome and then stream that way, but it makes it inconvenient to only be able to watch content on limited options. Chrome cast has been around for a couple of years now. Hopefully EWTN can be updated in the future. I think I will just watch this documentary and then delete the this app app.

For example how long will it take for EWTN to gain CC or Subtitles for the deaf or heard of hearing in its videos it would be nice if it add this so that way for those who are stuck at home or just can’t make it to church some days can understand what is being said in the daily mass ceremonies.

App works great on one phone but I can only get the Bible on the other phone which is disappointing that all the benefits of EWTN can’t be used on my other phone

There’s an option to purchase the video of the Holy Rosary with Mother Angelica, which I did. In the description, it states that there’s videos for the Sorrowful, Joyful, Glorious, and Luminous mysteries. There’s videos for all of them but the Luminous mysteries. This should be fixed/updated. Otherwise, EWTN is great! I use it all the time!

Through Our Lord Jesus Christ dear Mother Angelica has spread His Word quite literally throughout every corner of the Earth. EWTN has wrapped this app into a beautiful brought the entire network right to the fingertips of the world.

Some wrote a review that the New Testament dramatized had to be purchased. The normal reading is free and has some dramatization! There is a menu item that offers a “full dramatized New Testament” more like a Hollywood production but it is not advertised nor pushed, just a menu item. There is not one single advertisement nor any pop ups in EWTN. So I do not know what the other reviewer was reviewing. EWTN is beautiful designed, easy to navigate, works with all my blue tooth listening devices as well as all my vehicles so I can listen as I drive. It is seamless and descriptive for easy selection for what you’re in the mood for. Fr. Wade Menezes’ Tuesday live call in show is on there so I can keep up! As well as the other open line hosts. Also the best of Mother Angelica which even our teen boys laugh and enjoy listening while I am cooking in the kitchen. There is even a section you can rent or buy some of the best Catholic videos. All regular this app programs are free to watch and or listen to as always.

I stay glued to and it has re-ignited my love for reading the Bible and ultimately for going back to church. The great tools and navigation make everything so easy.

I’m a Catholic woman who lost her way after completing CCD classes and 10 years later I’m trying to strengthen my faith and understand my religion better. Discovering EWTN made me so happy because of all of its amazing features.

Since posting the previous review, I have had a much better experience. The performance of EWTN is very consistent and unless I’m in an area with poor signal the audio on demand content loads without much delay.
I can’t recall if there was an app update sense my first review but the this app app is excellent.

Absolutely love this app and all of he great services they provide especially via EWTN . I I would have addressed the following via web developer link if such one worked/existed on EWTN . Please note I also have the most recent version of iOS (14.3) and as of this review. The only issue related to the mobile app is that those with limited internet access (ex poor cell signal or low bandwidth) may find the change to have one icon on EWTN ’s home page for the On Demand content versus the previous separate ‘audio’ and ‘video’ icons to present performance issues in the loading of the list of available content. Basically if you want just audio or video or catalog content separately you will have to wait much longer for the page to load. I experienced a noticeable increase in time to load content and this despite having 2-3 bars of LTE signal. Additionally I have found EWTN may unexpectedly close when in the On Demand page.

An outstanding way to carry this app radio, tv, and audio and video archives in the palm of your hand. Not to mention the Bible readily available for a quick verse lookup or to read while you are waiting or have some down time. I listen to it at home and in my car. Love it.

This is my favorite and most frequently used app, and I enjoy it every day. Thank you, this app, for making the live stream available and all the on-demand content. The Bible is right at my fingertips and so easy to use. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

EWTN is a much needed tool for us Christians!

However, I have a suggestion, I saw no where to do this so here it is:

I think it would be a great additional tool to have an accessible copy of the current month and the feast days listed for each day. This would be available in the drop down say “Calendar”

I love the this app app, and I know they also now own the National Catholic Register (NCR). I can no longer open my (paid) NCR App and it doesn’t appear any longer in EWTN Store. What happened?? I read it every day, and all of a sudden it’s gone! Is it coming back? I saw no notice that it was being disabled, and I can’t tell you how disappointed I am.

I have had EWTN for a long time. It is great when I travel, since this app is not on most hotel cable/satellite connections, I can always catch the wonderful shows. I also I often use the Rosary with Mother Angelica when I need some extra peace in my spirit; listening closely you can hear/feel the sister’s devotion to our Lord which brings such peace in this troubled world

After downloading and creating a new account, I find that I cannot access this app Watch live United States. EWTN comes up with playback error. The requested URL was not found on this server.
A big disappointment.

Chrome Cast doesn’t work for either my iPad or iPhone. Would love to stream!! But it ain’t working. At least not for me. Thanks and God bless!!!

I love EWTN and I’ve had it for a long time now but unfortunately I now cannot watch the live stream anymore without it skipping. Please fix this! God Bless this app.

I mainly wanted access to the news -- that part is nice, but could be improved. I wish it would keep the last section and last article highlighted so it was obvious which article or section you were reading. This would make the back-and-forth navigation quicker and more intuitive.

What surprised me the most -- the Bible. Great navigation and the optional audio is quite nice. To be honest, this would be great app for the Bible alone.

My only wish is that they had more catholic approved translations (including audio). Latin especially, Duay-Rheims, etc. It is a very noticeable “hole” in this this app app.
With various available translations, this this app app would be the “crown jewel” app for the priesthood, laity, and colleges/university. Not offering this is causing this app to miss the ecclesiastical “bus”!

For the past few days I have not been able to see live programming on my iPhone. Please fix this I watch it at work

I read all the negative writers to EWTN, I’m glad I decided to IGNORE THEM, I couldn’t be happier!! It’s one of the best apps; and I should know I have over 100 apps.
