French English Dictionary Pro Reviews

I purchased the English-French dictionary to have an ad-free experience. When I open FrenchEnglishDictionaryPro I get an ad by Bravolol *advertising* that a better app is available. When I download the “better” app and use it, an even more steady flow of ads is again there for English-French, like as if I had never paid.

So I trashed that “better” version.

But then, still, every time that I open my originally purchased app, I get that same nagging alert that wants me to download their “better” app. Heck, the “better” app is WORSE because you cannot remove ads there!

Dear Bravolol developper, can you please remove your annoying popup (ad) after I have paid to get an ad-free experience?

I have today requested my money back and obtained a refund. I have also reported the issue to Apple via their “Report a problem” page (in the list of purchases) which will flag you, the developer, as violating the rules:

Article 5.6 says: Apps cannot use Push Notifications to send advertising, promotions, or direct marketing of any kind.

I keep FrenchEnglishDictionaryPro open when writing to people in France and French-speaking countries. They think my French is better than it actually is!

FrenchEnglishDictionaryPro is awesome for what it is. It isn't as robust as other dictionaries, but it works in areas with little network connectivity and you don't have to be specific about which language you are translating from. I use this when I need something fast, and other apps when I need something more involved (e.g. Conjugation of verbs).

I like that you can listen to pronunciation as well as get translation

Have tried a few other French/English dictionaries and this one tops them all. The examples of how the word is used makes a big difference. I had been wrong when using other dictionaries. Only suggestion would be when the words are spoken, a dash bit slower would be great.

I love FrenchEnglishDictionaryPro and use it very often. I love the sample sentence feature so so much and the entire set up of FrenchEnglishDictionaryPro . I also enjoy the history feature which help's me review a word that I had already studied and also the favorite function. Thank you dev team!! :)

Between this French version and Spanish version this is the best dictionary available , and they should just delete all the others. Well rounded dictionary.. Should be one like this in every language ..

The dictionary aspect is fantastic: extensive and translations are accurate. However, nouns should display gender for the French translation, and a verb conjugation feature or adjective conjugation feature (or both) would be incredibly beneficial.

I'm a student in France and I use FrenchEnglishDictionaryPro all the time to help me get around. Works really well. Sometimes wish the pronunciation feature was available when offline. But overall, a wonderful tool.

This is a wonderful app that couldnt be any better. Easily translates back and forth with both languages ans has a really huge vocabulary. Also functions offline, which is incredibly useful for me.

I honestly haven't tried many other French dictionary apps, but this one is very comprehensive, user-friendly, and solely focused on French-English, which to me makes it worth the download!

I think FrenchEnglishDictionaryPro works excellent in its job, I already have the English-Chinese Dictionary app and it works pretty great too!! However, some words that I try to find isn't on the dictionary, but that might be because I can't insert a sentence or phrase into it.

Improved by adding articles to all nouns so gender is clear. Easy to use, gives multiple possibilities when there are multiple definitions. It is a great resource.

FrenchEnglishDictionaryPro works offline! This is really helpful for doing French homework and stuff in places without internet so I don't have to look it up on the internet.

Has almost everyone word I look up. Best part of all is you can use it offline. No waiting for translations to load, ever. I use it every day.

Excellent for translation. If you're learning French, however, it doesn't tell you if a word is masculine or feminine. That becomes frustrating when you're trying to write correctly.

among all kinds of dictionaries i use for my french language learning this dict, after collins, is the greatest one
i really thank the developer
the search engine is so powerful
but a minor matter is FrenchEnglishDictionaryPro 's name which makes it shadow in app store search( if a new comer goes to search for a good dict, they hardly find this)
and if the developer adds verb conjugation and numbers i'll forget about collins!

Mostly FrenchEnglishDictionaryPro is easy to use, and I like it. BUT, nouns do not have their masculine or feminine distinction. Bummer that then you have to use an old paper dictionary for the missing, critical information.
