Real disappointment

Looks like Yamaha doesn’t support MusicSoftManager anymore, or they don’t support the EW410, or they don’t support the iPad Pro, or they don’t support the iPhone 8. It must be one of these because it doesn’t work for me

Yamaha has been very short sighted by not supporting the Mac platform and they’ve shown a rush to market by not implementing the ability to load midi directly from usb without the need for external software.

I wish I hadn’t bought this keyboard.

Does not support my CSP170

Despite the demo video telling me I could use MusicSoftManager, I can’t get MusicSoftManager to communicate correctly with my CSP-170. Quite disappointed.

I addition, Dropbox support is no longer useful, since they limit the number of devices that can connect to the Dropbox account unless you pay a premium, which I am unwilling to do just for my piano.

Absolutely Worthless

I purchased the CSP-170B and found out that half the features they pushed simply do not work anymore.

MusicSoft is the software I turned to for more music, because smart pianist failed to open 90% or my Apple Music Library. However, MusicSoftManager has constant communication failures with my iPad Pro.

Had I known that this is what their support looked like, I would have purchased “The One” Smart Piano instead, as it has the same functionality, but it actually works.

Anyway, Avoid Yamaha instruments until they actually make a commitment to their software.

App crashes with IOS14

I can no longer transfer midi files off my DTX502 drum module because MusicSoftManager crashes mid transfer. MusicSoftManager is fixed for iOS 13 but not iOS 14....can we get an update?

Crashes :-(

MusicSoftManager CRASHES every time the piano is recognized. I’m running iOS 13 on an iPad Air 2, and the piano is an Yamaha DXG 660. Both are supposed to be compatible with MusicSoftManager. Very disappointed :-(

A good app if you know how to set it up

I initially gave MusicSoftManager one star since it didn't work for me. However, finally I understood its modus operandi.

First of all, if MusicSoftManager doesn't seem to work for you and your instrument has two USB ports, try to insert your wifi adapter into a different USB port. That solved part of the problem for me: MusicSoftManager started to "see" files on the instrument.

To find copied files in your Dropbox you'll need to locate the "Apps" folder. Inside the "Apps" folder you'll see a folder named "this app" - that's the one you need.

Dtx 502

Says the newest update now supports the dtx502 module, yet it's not in the list when you select your instrument.

Doesn't work at all with Tyros 4

"Communication with the USB device has failed." is all the Tyros 4 keeps saying. Even after removing the WiFi doggle.
