Constantly bugging, awful support

Works great until you have a problem, support chat never works and no option to cancel order otherwise

Worst. Food delivery app. Ever.

JustEat is limited in food choices and is extremely unhelpful. It only allows you to contact the restaurant and not the driver. There are no maps, the time estimate is incredibly inaccurate as well as the placement of your location. Don’t use JustEat. Ever.

Very bad experience!

I don't usually write reviews, but JustEat is so bad that it definately worths a review!

1. There is no picture on the menus. It only shows one or two pictures on the restaurant level, but not for individual dishes. I have no idea what to expect when I look at the menu.

2. Many drivers are so lazy that they even don't want to find the door of the building. Instead, they call me and ask me to come to them somewhere around the block.

3. Restaurants cancel orders so frequently. In the worst day, my orders were cancelled twice by two restaurants (after 30 mins wait for each one). I was starved. Moreover, I only got refund for those cancelled orders, but not any compensation for being starved because of this. I can't even find customer service in JustEat !

Impossible to report problems

JustEat has been redesigned to make it extremely difficult to report problems. My last order the restaurant called to report an issue with the driver, then the driver shows up without part of the order and blames the restaurant. I try to report it in JustEat , but it’s just a maze of a FAQ without any actual ability to report anything (as far as I can see). Finally just accepted that I lost £7 and deleted JustEat .

Should be shut down

I wish I understood how they hire their drivers. You place an order, and no one picks it up, and after three hours, when you give up, they show up at your door. JustEats sees this as a successful attempt, but I had to leave because I don’t have three hours to wait for a food delivery I could have picked up myself in 30 minutes. They still charges you. And with lockdown the U.K. government endorses JustEat, but doesn’t regulate it. Get JustEat out of London!!

Inaccurate times and not enough drivers

Had an “estimated” 45-60 min delivery take 2 and a half hours. Then the food was cold because they put a guy on a bicycle on a delivery that was way too far for that.
The tech either doesn’t know how the actual deliveries work, or they don’t mind lying to customers. Also too cheap to hire more drivers to cut down on wait times.
No wonder they are so far behind Uber eats and Deliveroo.

DON’T USE

Absolutely useless service. NEVER on time. Had to use them for various places over COVID, and they never delivered on time. They blame it on the restaurants, but surprisingly, you don’t have the same problem with other delivery services. Their restaurants seem to have no problem, but this service always has a proble. Don’t be fooled by the advertising.

Rubbish customer support and service

The company is rubbish! Constantly late deliveries with missing items. Credits only available on the website and not JustEat . Never used the website and have a random email address that a password reset don’t come through on. Then told it will take 72hrs to update to a real address.

Useful app. Non existent customer service

JustEat is useful however. When you have an issue there is nkncustkmer service and they charge your card anyway. Close to scammers.

The worst customer service!

Customer service is terrible they never get my orders right and when I modify them they always screw up so I hope today my order is done correctly

Terrible, Deceitful service

Just Eat has real problems finding drivers to assign deliveries to and then JustEat will lie to you with optimistic updates that lead to no delivery in the end , sometimes 2 hours ovedue. Customer service will pretend to apologize and compensate you but compensation never comes and they will interrogate you before refunding you.

SCAM!

Suggested and actual delivery times are widely different. They make it near impossible to cancel an order. U can place an order without any verification but cancelling requires speaking to several different agents and confirming ALL your personal details. And i mean everything. They are wilfully deceptive and misleading. Do not use this awful dishonest company.

Absolutely disgusting business practices

Whenever a order goes wrong they shirk any responsibility toward the customer or the business using business as a scapegoat, absolutely disgusting far better ordering directly from businesses or using alternative services who at the very least offer a modicum of accountability.

Do not get - steal your money

Please use another delivery service other than Just Eat and save your money. They never delivered my meal and after talking to customer service seven different times never took the steps that they said they would to correct their mistake. The delivery fees are also overpriced.

Cancels the order but charges you anyway

75% of the time, the payments “fail” but you get the charge anyway, with no food. There’s absolutely no way to dispute or report this to Just Eat themselves so I’ve had to contact my bank and dispute the charges that way. The only reason I continue to use it is bc no other delivery service near me uses paypal. Overall, this service is an absolute last resort so long as you’re willing to have to dispute charges later and wait a million years for your food anyway

Mostly good - Bad when they fake assigning a deliverer

JustEat is mostly good. There are a lot of good quality restaurant options with reasonable prices. The main issue comes with JustEat itself. They will “assign” a driver and then the driver will never show up to the restaurant and eventually the restaurant will cancel the order. Just eat will claim it’s the restaurant but on more than one occasion I’ve had the restaurant send their own driver after canceling the order to give me a free meal for the wait.

The lack of customer service is a huge downside. If you can’t find a driver, say so don’t fake assign one!!!

This is a great app but unfortunately if your visiting uk and u use a different store than uK u cant download it . Hope this changes and we are able to download it

Don't trust them with your card

Upon placing my order, I received an error stating that my card was declined. I called my bank, who stated the transaction was approved and that Just Eat had taken money from my account. I called Just Eat support who confirmed they had taken my money and would not be able to return it for 3-5 business days.
And my wife is still hungry. FRAUD!

Search is a joke

Search by a full postcode only. What are you in 2009?

Easy to reorder

The feature I love most about JustEat is the ability to re-order a previous order (and change quantities etc.). It also gives me a fairly accurate estimated delivery time and notification when my order is accepted.

First takeaway in London...score!

So far, so good! App was intuitive, only snag was it accidentally entered the wrong house number (and I couldn't go back in and change it). Other than that, works quite well (for both me and my digestion ;)

Takeout made easy

I love the reorder feature... find something you love and order it again in a snap.

This is an App for UK, not US

Just a reminder for all of you who complains that JustEat gives zero search results, THIS IS AN APP DESIGNED TO USE IN UK. I'm currently traveling in London and JustEat is great with a lot of choices. I mean the food can sometimes be bad but there's definitely a lot of choices.

Absolute nightmare. Customer service does not work. You can't cancel your order even if delivery is late by 3 hours. When you check the availability of drivers and estimated delivery hours, the system gives you an optimistic number. But when you click buy and transfer money suddenly the system starts changing times slots. Basically, my food was not delivered, and I spent money. Great bloody deal. Contacting them and requesting a refund - not possible.

I would like to rate these criminals with 0 stars to be honest. Honest being a concept alien to Just Eat. Their customer service team (this term in itself is an oxymoron)plenty of morons at Just Eat though, they seem to be utterly ignorant to Consumer Rights law in the UK. I placed an order for a takeaway and upon its arrival and opening all of the items one of the items delivered wasn’t what I ordered. I immediately contacted Just Eat and explained that the item I had received was not what I had ordered and that what I had been sent also cost less than the item I ordered. All I wanted was for the difference in cost to be refunded. Apparently this wasn’t as simple as it ought to have been. They said they had investigated and couldn’t do anything about it. Now, clearly nobody in their right mind is going to accept that and pay more for a lesser item are they? I even explained that under consumer law i should be able to get the difference refunded. 8 days after the fact these jokers asked for a photograph of the item in question?!?!! Unsure how they expect me to achieve that, the item was eaten. I wasn’t unhappy (maybe a little disappointed) at the incorrect item, but I’m absolutely NOT paying a higher price for a lesser item. I explained to Just Eat what I had ordered and what I had been charged and explained that the item I receive cost less and what that price was and requested they refund that difference…but oh no. They are sticking to their initially investigation being correct and refuse to budge. I’m not accepting this on principle, so will be contacting my bank and requesting the difference be refunded that way. It’s admittedly not a life changing amount but I will pursue it on principle. Get sick of big business riding roughshod over the very people that keep them in business and cannot stand that level of dishonesty. Watch this space…

I ordered food for delivery. When the food arrived, the actual food to eat was not just cold it was stone cold. It had to be put through the microwave to make it edible. We don't actually live that far from the food source so receiving food like this is unacceptable. The food bag the food came in was soaked at the bottom to such an extent that the bottom of the bag was at risk of just ripping. The drink ordered was now not the full drink I had paid for and it had spilt over ice cream also ordered. I contacted Just Eat through the app to make them aware of my experience and this is certainly not the first time I have had such an experience. I then received the standard corporate response: Thank you for contacting us about your recent order *****8910. We're sorry to hear you didn't have the great experience we wanted for you. We've looked into everything in detail to see what we can do. On this occasion, we're unable to offer a refund or compensation based on all the information we have. We appreciate your understanding. Thanks again for getting in touch with us. Just Eat I went back and submitted a photo clearly showing the drink spilt in the bottom of the bag. I then received the following response from Just Eat. Thanks for getting in touch with Just Eat. I'm sorry there was an issue with your recent order *****8910. I've checked your Just Eat account, including your order history. Based on this review, we've had to decline your refund request in this instance. I know this may not be the outcome you were looking for and appreciate your understanding. Thank you for reaching out and giving me the chance to look into this for you. If there’s anything else you need help with, please head over to our FAQ in our Help Centre via the app or website. So yet again Just Eat shows themselves exactly for who they are in terms of customer service. They are appalling. You enter into a contract as they accept your order and take your money, they deliver not what you ordered in the form you expected it to be and you are made to feel like some kind of inconvenience or nuisance for raising this point even though it is your money that has paid for this. Will Just Eat ever learn.......................

I have had numerous experiences that have been bad with Just Eat. Here is the most recent. I ordered food on Sunday 26th October. When the delivery driver came, I knew the delivery was wrong. Sadly, there level of English is poor so a conversation is not always possible. I realise they are only doing a job and it must be very difficult at times. I had and paid for an order that included two fizzy drinks and two large ice creams. The order I received included 1 fizzy drink, 1 strawberry milkshake and no ice cream. As I said, I wasn't surprised as this has happened many times before. I went on the app to make those responsible aware. I also had the printed receipt for the wrong items delivered to me which meant the family that were meant to receive the fizzy drink and the milkshake were also disappointed and inconvenienced. When I made Just Eat aware of the situation, I was informed via the app that my case was logged and that it would be looked into. I woke on Monday morning to find the following response from Just-Eat. Hi Ven, Thank you for contacting us about your recent order 706435119. We're sorry to hear you didn't have the great experience we wanted for you. We've looked into everything in detail to see what we can do. On this occasion, we're unable to offer a refund or compensation based on all the information we have. We appreciate your understanding. Thanks again for getting in touch with us. Just Eat I was shocked and taken aback by their response. Considering the facts of my case, I thought it was straight forward. But, there you go. Nothing about Just-Eat surprises me anymore. There level of customer service is very poor. Not sure if this is out of ignorance or just incompetence. I pushed back and asked since I was financially out of pocket and nothing was of my doing, I wanted to know what criteria had been used to come to the stupid decision. Of course, that information is not shared. I then received the following: Due to your overall experience, I've stepped away from our normal policies and issued you a refund of £8.77. The credit is now available on your Just Eat account to be used towards any future order with Just Eat. To me this read like Just-Eat were doing me some kind of favour when in fact it was my money for items not received. Again, how does this company actually operate with any level of integrity, it is certainly not apparent by their actions. To add insult to injury, I had to reorder the two ice creams again and as a separate order, I paid £9.76 for the order. So, between the original order, the refund and then the additional order, I was still out of pocket and yet I was made to feel like I was an inconvenience for asking for redress. Hopefully lessons will be learnt but I don't have much confidence in that.

Our order never arrived. Delivery driver never entered my property, did not knock or ring my video doorbell, and did not contact us on the phone number we provided. The driver managed to mark the order as delivered regardless of not receiving the 4 digit security code. Just Eat has no contact phone number, forcing you to go through their in app feedback form. We got a clearly automated/scripted reply stating that the driver had delivered, and yet could not provide me with proof of this. They have therefore refused us a refund. Please avoid this company, their security measures are corrupt!

This is the worse company every, absolute trash and thieves. Their drivers are dodgy and they do not deliver your food. This driver drove off with my food and clicked delivered and I didn’t get my food and I didn’t get my money back. This happened to me multiple times and they keep getting away with it.
