- Fast and responsive for VNC
- Easy to configure a connection with only important settings available
- Works well with Raspberry Pi running Tight VNC
- Bible tool allows instant access to preferred bibles
Ad supported. You get a popup that says pay $.99 to remove ads. After paying you still have ads. Also cannot figure out to even connect to a vnc server with this. You enter the server info but there is no submit or complete setup button. I would not mind the ads if it actually worked.
Installs fine. Type in my server info. Hit the server button and it goes back to the main screen with advertisements. Can't find where to connect. Removed app in under 5 minutes of usage.
Must use "Other" mode rather than "Mac" or "Windows". Can only view in portrait (vertical) display in "Other" mode making it too small. In that mode, there are no tabs, backspace keys, up or down keys, etc. Agree with others about banner ads. If your Pi has the default dock on top it is obscured by the ad banner. Initial ad fills the page.
I used VNCClient to connect to my windows desktop machine. As soon as it connected I realized it installed a virus (DSbrute and Experio) on the machine. Do not use VNCClient! I don't know how it got through apple's testing.
I monitor and consistently deploy Linux devices. Right off the bat this thing didn't work. Not worth the time to download.
Giant banner ad. New server connection form was in portrait mode, but the keyboard was in landscape mode.
Claims iPad support. Not so much.
I downloaded and installed VNCClient on my iPad4 and although I was able to get my Windows PC XP-PRO setup and connected to, when the screen showed up I could only see half the screen and had no mouse control. After trying multiple things, I finally decided the only useful thing for me to do was to not waste any more time on VNCClient. I guess you get what you pay for and this had the only price that works FREE and that was too much. Maybe on other devices or platforms it will work, but for the iPad VNCClient isn't worth anything.
Forces portrait, but when trying to connect the keyboard shows in landscape only. Once connected the ads never go away and take up way too much space. Finally if you're trying to access anything near the top of the screen, it brings down VNCClient menu instead of anything on the server you're viewing. Works, sure, but it's impossible to actually do anything with it once connected.
Recently I noticed that VNCClient do not work/support when I updated my phone and iPad iOS to 11. I tried to contact developer and they refuse to customise VNCClient for iOS 11. Very sad. Looking for an alternative app though.
Device orientation issues, very slow, quirky, and with the ads, basically unusable. Intermittent crashes. While I managed to get a connection, it appears to be an alpha version. Much more work required to be able to use VNCClient.
Crashes regularly on my iPad2 if I connect/disconnect to multiple hosts sequentially. Also, the screen image jumps around quite a bit when it is being resized.
Works with raspberry pi running tight vnc. Mouse control and zoom in work ok. Paid for "no ad" version but still has ads . This was reported as fixed in 1.2 but still there.
I downloaded VNCClient and paid for ad removal. I then deleted VNCClient from my phone and at a later date reinstalled only to find ads back with no 'restore purchases' button. What's up?
This client works, but is severely limited. It doesn't always properly register the screen orientation, and the Mac-specific keys don't seem to send the proper sequences to Tiger-based Macs. I finally had to give up on it when the virtual screen disappeared, and I couldn't get it back. For Mac users, I suggest Connect my Mac.
Just downloaded it now and accessing vnc on my windows pc thru ipad3. Mouse works fine too once u access the mouse tool. No problems in my experience. And given the price, I can't fault it to be honest.
This is a great app works very well, but it tends to crash a lot. when it works though it's a very great app.
I like that only the important settings are available. Makes it easy to configure a connection. But i'd like to be able to set the color depth for windows connections. 16 or 8 bit choice would be nice.
I like this bible tool which allows instant access to bibles I like most.
I connected to a Mac and to a Mint Linux server. Very fast and responsive for VNC. No confusing options some VNC clients have to support archaic nonsense I imagine. With this I just put in the IP address and that's about it. There's a banner ad up but you can get rid of it for 99 cents. Can't believe how much money all the other VNC client apps are.

VNC Client allows you to connect to any computer (Windows, Mac or Linux) using your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
If it works with your configuration (routers, firewalls, etc) then you can disable the ads by purchasing an in-app product that costs 0.99$. The app in it's free version is a fully functional app, so you can test every option before deciding to buy.
After purchasing the in-app feature on one device, you can disable the banners on all your devices (iPads, iPhones, iPod Touches) without having to pay again, as long as you use the same iTunes account.
If you own the new 4 inch iPhone 5 or iPod Touch, you can use the whole screen with your VNC Client.
The app uses Virtual Network Computing (VNC) to connect to any computer that has an VNC server installed and running.
