I have a love hate relationship with Edsby as well as the platform in general. To turn on notifications you have to search deep in settings. Whenever I submit an assignment I go straight back to the classes view. Edsby feels clunky and my teachers are always complaining about having to use it, grades sometimes randomly move Column’s onto different assignments or just outright disappear the phone app and desktop app need a revamp. Overall there’s nothing outstanding about the service ,I think my district is switching to canvas next year so I’m so happy. Please fix you app

The main this app platform is relatively easy to use (I have some issues that I wish would be fixed with the copy/paste functionality of the planner) and helps me manage my courses.

Edsby gives me none of the functionality that would make it remotely helpful. I can’t access my courses easily, I can’t make plans with it, I get the bare minimum of functions for posting information to my students, and most recently Edsby gives me a white screen when I search for a student. The white screen won’t go away even after closing Edsby down. I’ve had to delete and reinstall Edsby 3 times just tonight.

If you’re going to use it for attendance on the go, MAYBE you might find it useful, but if you’re wanting to use it for anything that remotely may help with lesson planning, grading, or communicating with students, stick with the desktop version.

I’m a student and I use this app everyday. It would be great if Edsby had push notifications so that I can get notifications whenever my teachers post something new, grade my completed assignments, etc. Edsby is REALLY slow. I still face issues with Edsby not loading correctly. I have to wait around 15 minutes just so that it can load ONE page. Sometimes the entire thing crashes and I have to wait hours until I can get back on. The way Edsby is organized also makes it difficult to find things. I get confused and irritated very quickly. The mobile app kind of lags out and once I try to back out of a page I can’t get back to the previous page I was on. Everything seems just crammed together and makes it hard to navigate. I wouldn’t really recommend but I think Edsby is OK. However, OK is not good enough for students and teachers who use Edsby daily.

Guess what? I am a student who uses this app and it does its job, but the format can DEFINITELY use improvement. There are SOOO many glitches, often resulting in me not being able to see my grades or messages or teachers or anything like that. The font and look of it is also something to me improved upon. It doesn’t look nice, and it doesn’t fit the screen properly sometimes. Some functions, like the messaging, don’t work. For example, if I messaged someone and need to message another teacher, it forces me to exit out of Edsby and go in again because for some reason the keyboard is stuck on the page!! If there could be some improvements on this app it would be awesome and so beneficial for teachers, schools, and students alike.

I’m a high school student, I changed schools, and my previous school district used infinite campus, which was wayyyy better and more efficient than Edsby. this app is crazy slow, sometimes it doesn’t even work for days at a time, not just for me but everyone at school. The organization of Edsby is horrible, and it is almost impossible to figure out how to enable notifications about your grades, otherwise you have to constantly check it to see assignments and grades you completed. It is so glitchy and makes it very hard to communicate with teachers during this whole virtual learning situation. I wish we had a better app to use during this pandemic, because this app is NOT the move.

Edsby would be much more enjoyable if we were allowed to have push notifications of updated grades or if anything was added to a class. The little red notif on the class in Edsby isn’t enough. Sometimes I don’t want to check this app just to not see any grades put in, push notifications would be really helpful. It’s like a little reminder to check your grades and make sure that you’re on track. Please try to make this a possibility, there are others suggesting this too. Thanks

I am the parent of a k-6. I downloaded Edsby (because of virtual learning) so that he can use Edsby on the computer but that I can also watch for any feedback from the teacher, new assignments, or comments. But even under the student portion, he can’t see comments, respond to teacher’s assignments or even send an email. I only gave it 2 stars because we can actually see if a teacher has posted an assignment to know to go to the computer to log on. That is the only thing Edsby is useful for.

Edsby does not work well on iPhone X and 11 with the most recent update. It is not displaying correctly when accessing the student’s recent and upcoming classes. Sometimes it displays correctly, other times it’s unusable.

Notifications are pretty bad there are sometimes when some people just miss the notification witch is why you guys should add an red icon with the number of notifications for that app on iPhone so that way we for sure won’t miss anything I have missed a couple because I have missed the notifications but adding that feature could and will help me along with other student I hope you read this and consider it

I’ve been using Edsby to adjust to E learning and it move so slow when I press one thing all I see I a white screen and 3 minutes later what I need pops up. Also push notifications would be appreciated because teachers are constantly posting assignments and having notifications can allow us as students to access the context directly and faster to get a grade and not fall behind.🙏🏾

It’s 2019, why can’t I get a push alert to tell me if my son’s grade changed or if there’s an update?!? Not to mention the terrible redesign that now forces you to go to the activity feed of each class instead of the graded work. I feel like none of the developers of Edsby have children because Edsby would probably be way more functional if they had to actually use it.

I’ve found that when a teacher posts a pdf as part of an assignment description, not in the class feed or library, the pdf is unable to load in the mobile application. It does however work fine in safari.

i’m a student and sadly my school relies on this retched app. key functions such as “My Work” (shows graded assignments and feed back from teachers) and “Recent Activity” is constantly down. i can explain how many times i’ve been logged out while writing an assignment or taking a test and then have to contact my teacher and ask them to reopen the tests. just make it work k? シ

Yesterday I had to submit my FSE in and this app was giving me the hardest time ever. I wanted to pick up my laptop and smash it. So I tried my computer upstairs, and guess what, that didn’t work either. I just couldn’t !! I hope you figure something out so that all those kids that use this app including me can use it freely and without much disturbance.

I don’t know why Edsby has a bad review I’ve only had it since I’ve entered 6th grade and I love it it allows me to see all of my assignments in one place as all my teachers use it so I’m proud to say that this is the best app ever

I am a student and I use Edsby to check my grades and write to my teachers. But there’s times when I log in and the screen freezes and turns white. For example, today if my first day of online classes and I can’t do them because it won’t load and the screen is just white. And no it’s not just my phone because I tried it on my iPad and the same thing happed.

I’ve gone back to Edsby various times to use my correct login info, that works for the browser, seeing if this problem is fixed, and nope. Nothing changes. The developers of this app aren’t doing their job. The person responding to these even admits that the mobile interface is NOT GOOD. How is that not a red flag to you all?! That’s just embarrassing.

FIX YOUR APP.

I am frustrated with Edsby it has terrible organization and it crashes all the time. When I even try to do my schoolwork it crashes and or just says error. I think that my school district need to find a better way to do school work because Edsby is affecting mine and many of my classmates grades.

Edsby is constantly glitching and its ads spam across the screen causing my cellphone to crash and i end up having to restart Edsby . I am a teacher and i use Edsby to hep me grade students papers, i find it very difficult to even use Edsby the way it was intended to be used because of its poor quality.

I’m just going to keep this review short and concise. Edsby is... somewhat usable with the exception of a few bugs and being exceptionally slow, however, what bugs me the most is the compatibility on the iPhone X. There are black bars on the top and bottom of the screen (suggesting poor compatibility with iPhone X and similar devices) and it’s excruciatingly annoying and an eye sore to look at.
The website itself is great, (for the most part), however Edsby certainly isn’t. Usability is mediocre and the compatibility certainly isn’t the best either.
I really hope that the team behind this app can work to improve Edsby sometime in the near future as they certainly have a lot going for themselves. But right now, although I understand it’s a requirement at most schools to download Edsby , I’d just stick to the website if possible.

Great capabilities in the overall this app platform. IOS app leaves a bit to be desired, but then so do all the mobile apps from the big LMS providers. Use it on a web browser for the full experience.

So I love Edsby, I don’t have to wonder about my grades, all my assignments are there, but there’s one problem. When I look at the students in my classes and go to panoramas and push it, it tells me “bad request” & I try forcing closing it but it doesn't do anything. I have to redownload Edsby every time I forgot about it 😕

Honestly a great app! Helps me manage my grades on time. One question though... sometimes whenever I’m trying to write to a teacher Edsby glitches out and the screen goes blank... I’m on iPhone xr

Make a update that the screen could fit the new iPhone like the x or Xr, please. I just find it weird with the black border around my phone when I use Edsby for my grade. Thanks

Edsby is awesome but it’s like you can bearly get your lessons because my mom told me that I had a lot of assignment’s and when I looked there was nothing there so maybe it doesn’t work good or what but I kinda like it but lame so yeah and who ever created this just to let you know it is good for coronaviris but it is lame kinda but need to change some things to make it cooler.

So lately this app Crashed and it got fixed but it’s still a bit buggy. You guys need to add updates to allow more space so a lot of people can log on. So please take your time to make a major update.

Every time I went on this app with my phone or laptop it took like 10 minutes to open any page click on something 10 minutes and I am a student and if I ask anyone they would have the same problem with it and I just don’t like it I hate this app......
