This is a great learning app for learning spoken Japanese. I am learning for a school trip so I don’t need to be able to write only speak. The pronunciations could be better but all in all I love it.

Simple, easy to use, and we'll organized. Highly recommended if you're starting to learn Japanese!

I've recently felt a pull from Japanese culture, or rather the Gentiles all over Asia mostly though through Japan and I respect alot of things in their way of life and having a page of Japanese I wanted translated I found LearnJapanesePhrasesWords and as learning/memorization is hard its nice to know that if I decide to visit our language barrier is brought down to the point were we will be able to understand each other as I learn the best way possible through person interaction 5 star!

I first purchased LearnJapanesePhrasesWords 3 weeks ago. Paid for the pro version. It would not update to my iPhone X. Apple said contact Bravolol...Bravolol says contact Apple. More like Brav-LOL at me.

Don't get me wrong this is a good app and can be helpful, but some of the romaji translations are incorrect, and some words don't translate into english the way they should. Some words such as the given translation for "I love you", has a MUCH more serious meaning then other words meaning "I love you" in Japanese and sometimes married couples may not even use it. I assume most people just trying to find some Japanese words and such with LearnJapanesePhrasesWords wouldn't and shouldn't ever use this. Also when using the "wa" particle in a sentence it is always written as "ha" in romaji, which is incorrect. These are just some examples, I'm writing a review, not a list. It feels like most of these were just pulled off of google translate. I'd appreciate it if you actually did some research as to how Japanese words work, and I would love to see an update in the future with more accurate translations so people won't be mislead or confused. For anyone else who is using LearnJapanesePhrasesWords, I recommend researching any words you want to use before actually using them in a real situation in order to make sure they have the correct meaning.

Perfect for a good basic FREEEE Startup to good stable Japanese vocabulary and pronunciation. I plan on moving to Japan once I finish college so I have downloaded tens of english-Japanese, translation-learning, apps and this provides the most stable base for the price required for the download. Thank you, I do not right reviews often... This is probably my 2nd or 3rd time on this several year old account, but I had to thank these developers for my simple start-off. :D

I haven't checked all sections out yet, but so far so good besides the few errors I've caught (all 3 in transliterating, but the audio's correct...listen closely to the pronunciation of vowels, some are longer than written out).

I would like to see an option for hiragana in future installations--my level's intermediate, so romaji actually looks odd to me. Hiragana also tells you EXACTLY how the kanji is supposed to be read, so that's an added bonus. And if you're serious abot learning Japanese, it is NOT alphabetic ;^)

I will be traveling to Japan soon and although I have had some lessons, I am not really able to say or understand much of the language. LearnJapanesePhrasesWords offers many useful phrases (especially regarding medical issues). Even if I can't say them we'll enough to make myself understood, I can use LearnJapanesePhrasesWords to speak for me. A BIG bonus is that it works off-line.

Though many of the pronunciations don't match the written readings. When I look them up (in other apps) it seems the pronunciations are more correct than the presented readings. The presented readings seem to use kun-yomi in quite a few places where on-yomi should have been used. Again, the pronunciations are right in this regard. In addition, it may be my bad ear, but quite a few of the pronunciations seem not to be Tōkyō dialect (not that that's wrong, per se. It's just unexpected).

Most of the Japanese apps only give you a little information, then make you pay about $5 for the few other things. But LearnJapanesePhrasesWords only blocks off about 5 from 20+ categories and not to mention, the categories have A LOT of phrases. I strongly recommend LearnJapanesePhrasesWords ^.^

I love LearnJapanesePhrasesWords, because it is really handy, and you can basically look up whatever you want whenever you need it without having to work through different levels and achievements before you can actually arrive at a certain word or phrase. I am especially fond of how you can slow down the audio to make it easier to hear and understand.

I think LearnJapanesePhrasesWords is great, it dose have a lot of nice phrases. I would like if you added more phrases and make more of the sentences have less Kanji. I am learning Japanese Hiragana so far( Japanese has three alphabets Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana) I think this is a nice app if you went on a short trip to Japan but I would like if you made a app to learn Japanese.
I do believe that there might be a wrong translation for " I do not understand" and " I understand" but just keep improving!

Me and one of my best friends are soon traveling to Japan, and we both wanted to learn a bit of Japanese for the occasion.
(Plus I want to move to Japan in the future, but I will take legitimate classes for that.)

This was great for basic phrases and for beginners like myself.

I wish the full version did not cost as high as it is, but whatever, I'll get the quick cash to buy the in-app purchase.

I do wish when you record your voice it saved though... That was a tiny down :( (I usually favor listening to my voice since I can't always understand exactly what they said and it takes me a few times {I am a slow language learner.})

If you're looking for an app that will quickly allow you to learn everyday phrases in Japenese, wether for convo with your friends or just to FINALLY understand what they're saying in those Animes, this is definitely LearnJapanesePhrasesWords for you!!

So, LearnJapanesePhrasesWords is great! Specially because its FREE. I must say, sometimes it will say the wrong word, but the audio will be correct. It's nice because some apps only allow audio when you are connected to the Internet but for this one you don't. I find this very nice because it just use it on my iPod touch.

I love LearnJapanesePhrasesWords. Being in a relationship with a Japanese woman whose 2nd language is English, LearnJapanesePhrasesWords has helped me communicate with her a lot easier. Being able to say small things like, I love you, good morning and how are you is great. The smile it brings to her face is priceless. Thank you for the great app. I'm improving my Japanese everyday.

The Bravaolo series is such a smart app! You need this if you want to learn a language! There are so many phrases, and it has many features too to help you learn! There are also many other apps like this ones including different languages! To learn away! Wonderful app!

I really do love LearnJapanesePhrasesWords; it has a wonderful and pleasant interface that's fun to use again and again. I just wish it were more than an aggrandized phrase book! It would be awesome if there were ways to actually practice the language aside from reading it over and over again. Adding a few of those features will earn my five stars.
