“Love this game. Play it all the time!” That was my original review (with 5 stars) years ago when I got the game. It provided simple games - very hard games, ad free, with an option to purchase for even harder games and extras. With an update, it required purchase for the very hard games, but still gave you simple - hard. Ads were included.

Today when I went to play it, it only gave me simple games. I have to buy the rest. No thank you. I have been playing and promoting this game for years. If I had wanted to spend money on it, I would have when I got it.

I will be sorry to see it go, but bye-bye. Like any relationship that turns to take advantage of you or require things of you that you don’t want to give, it is time to go. You cannot lure me in, then change the rules and expect me to stay. I am very disappointed, but I will get over it.

Many times when solving these puzzles I enter a correct number only to find a little bit later that this correct number has been removed!!! This is certainly NOT FAIR! It makes solution longer. And confusing. Please stop doing this or I will choose another sudoku icon to use.

What you call a hint is in fact a known technique to solve a sudoku puzzle. I don't understand why one is penalized for using such. You keep resetting me to novice and i don't understand why. You claim your puzzles to be symmetric but they are not.
Your coloring does not work and thus no coloring scheme can be used.
The only technique you seem to allow is "let's try this, and if it does nor work go back to try the other value". Sudoku is not really a guessing game.
There is no possibility of scaling the size of the candidates numbers. There are 729 candidate numbers. You penalize those who choose to use "calculate the candidates" by 25%.
When you will be 78 years old, if you reach that age, this will look to you more like a vision acuity test than anything having to do with solving sudoku.

Excellent app, but I would appreciate it if you added back into the difficulty choices “Master.” “Very Hard” is not hard enough. Great sudoku app. Thanks. But, like I said above, I wish you would bring back the “Master” difficulty level.

I like your app, but I can’t get “Master” or “Very Hard” anymore. The hardest level I can get now is “Hard” which isn’t hard at all. The only thing challenging about “Hard” is to see how fast I can solve it, but that approach isn’t good for my blood pressure. So I think I’ll just keep playing until I reach 100,000,000 points, then move on.

This game is fun and challenging! Other games alert you if you have put in a wrong number; this one does not, which I think makes it better. My only complaint is there was one time when the game was not a true Sudoku. Obvious from the start that it was not symmetrical.

It’s smooth and feature rich. It’s much faster with the pencil button next to the numbers. Nicely done all the way around.

I love SudokuClassicPuzzleGames b/c it makes me think unlike others that tell you when you make a mistake. I’m not so much into my score as problem solving and finding my mistakes keep up the good work!

I have enjoyed playing Sudoku for the last ten years. And thoroughly enjoy this game on my phone, when I’m waiting for someone or something it helps the time to just fly by. And has improved my game Immensely.

This is a very good sudoku app. Allows you to input your own if you need or want to and using different colors helps to keep your thoughts organized. All of the old bugs are fixed.

I just played the newest version. It’s still fun, challenging, and easy to navigate. I was disappointed to see that the “Very Hard” level of play is no longer an option. I liked it better the way it was.

I enjoy this version of electronic Sudoku. It has enough flexibility for me so that I can choose an easier time or a challenging one. I ignore the score since I don’t care if I play quickly. I also like the provision for entering a game from another source.

Nice, challenging (at the upper levels) sudoku program! Has some deeper options than many. Takes me longer to do, than my usual ‘Daily’ puzzle, so it’s a nice ‘go back to’ diversion. It can keep me up at night, trying to solve it, or just wears me out until sleep comes. Try it!

I even deleted and re-downloaded and now lost my streaks too. I tried to restore my purchase and it just closes the game. I paid for a yearly subscription to use all features and evidently wasted my money because I don’t have all the features and it still says upgrade to pro. Please fix or I will seek refund from Apple. Thanks. Otherwise I like this game although I don’t like subscriptions. I prefer to pay for a game and just have it.

I have been playing MasterSoft's Sudoku since the PDA days. I just switched from the old version 1 edition to this new version. Overall I still think this is the best Sudoku version available. After going backwards with the last revision, this brings it back to 5 starts for me.

Update 4 July 16: just changed iPhones and downloaded app on it. It didn't load my statistics, tried Game Center and Facebook, oh well, still a great sudoku... Had mastersoft sudoku on my windows based phone and loved it, rated a sudoku master. Choosing different colors of numbers when going down a path of uncertainty is a big plus. This is the sudoku to get!

This is the Cadillac of sudoku puzzles. I have been playing this for more than 10 years, and it gives you challenging puzzles, variety in grid and number options, and even the chance to work on sudoku puzzles from your own sources. You can also “rewind” the puzzles, to correct older mistakes.

Purchased ad-free version years ago and has been best Sudoku, hands down. Now V 4.4 has been crippled so can only choose simple puzzles. If I try to “upgrade” even though I shouldn’t have to, that functionality doesn’t work either. Please update app to fix this as I see another review with same problem.

Easier to manage the possible smaller numbers rather than trying to squeeze them into boxes with a pen. Also like the ability’s to change the colors of the larger numbers for tracking. The “ball of yarn” rollback feature is very helpful. Only thing missing is it used to have a Master level for free now it’s a paid feature. Overall very fun and functional game.

Used to be wonderful. Then you had to pay to be able to enter your own puzzle. So I did, and now I can’t play at all. The numbers are on the grid lines so you can’t tell what box they belong in. Very sad as I used to love this game. I have an iPhone X.
Update: Problem fixed. Change my rating to 5 stars. My only complaint is that the hard puzzles aren’t that hard, but the very hard are indeed very hard. Need some in between!

I have learned a lot about playing Sudoku since getting SudokuClassicPuzzleGames. My husband and I play several a day. We especially like being able to put the Sudoku from our newspaper in so we can do it also. Thanks for making SudokuClassicPuzzleGames so much fun.
