Sudoku Joy - Number Games Reviews

I’m tired of the whole “mistakes” part of SudokuJoy. I get it’s there so that people don’t just randomly guess numbers, but people that actually want to play sudoku correctly aren’t going to do that, they will play it properly. 95% of the mistakes I’ve made were because I either thought I was in notes mode when I wasn’t, or because my fat fingers accidentally pushed the wrong button. And instead of having me watch an ad in order to continue playing the game, it just restarts the game. I literally got 90% of an expert level game, about 35 minutes into the game, and I had to restart. That’s ridiculous. Pen and paper sudoku would let me finish the game. Either have a way to disable the “mistakes” feature or at least save the game from where you made your last mistake. I’m not tryin to invest another 30 min of my time just for SudokuJoy for pull this sort of thing again just because my finger slipped and hit the wrong button.

I have played this game pack for several months now and have become aware of a major flaw. I do not know what the application is doing in background but it consumes significant amounts of power. My iPhone 8 gets hot when this application is on screen or in background. I was working outdoors for a couple hours today with the iPhone in sleep mode. I wasn’t playing the application but it was still in background on my screen. In two hours my battery drained from 98 to 30% ! UNACCEPTABLE. This iPhone is relatively new and no other application drains battery the fast.

I attempted to contact the developer help screen but it appears to be kanji not English. Additionally, I was unable to access the suggested Facebook account. Suggestion to developers; make your web reference a hyperlink or at least allow copy permission to cut and paste the URL.

Sincerely frustrated!

The puzzles have lots of variation in difficulty that are appropriate for beginners or pros, and the added notes feature is helpful to keep track of placeholder numbers that could be a possible solution. There are also lots of ways to play sudoku with different size grids to keep the game interesting, and you can play for leisure or try to set personal records to beat your fastest solving times. Overall, a fun platform to play sudoku and I highly recommend.

I like SudokuJoy and the ease of how it works. However, I often press a number and the one next to it shows up resulting in an error. It becomes frustrating - especially at the end of a puzzle - when you have to watch an ad just to be able to enter in the last few numbers. Also with the ads, the X to close it is often so far up in the corners that they’re impossible to close. When you try, SudokuJoy tries to open and then safari opens. The only way to exit an ad, for me, is to completely exit out of the game. That is the most frustrating part of all.

I play multiple sudoku games, can beat expert level on all of them consistently and this is the only one that I have a constant problem where I click a number and another number is applied. I’m not sure whether it’s a sensitivity problem when clicking the numbers close to another or whether this is just a cheaply made app. I would hope that it’s a minor technical issue that can be resolved easily. This is just corrective criticism because I do love the format and difficulty of your games more than the others.

I like the way it auto fills the last number in the cell or in the row v

Would like some more challenging games. You could call it “Progressive “
For instance, start with a fairly easy game and progress to more difficult ones to see how far you can go. If you have four mistakes, you do not progress to the next level until you solve it with three or less mistakes.

Wonderful game with varying degree of difficulty to challenge both the beginner and the seasoned veteran. I have spent hours playing this game and never bore of it. My only wish is that there was a version specific to the iPad so I could use my device horizontally rather than vertically because the vertical orientation essentially renders my case stand useless. Other than that, I wouldn’t change a thing. Good job developers!

i absolutely love SudokuJoy it’s the only sudoku app i have and i don’t feel the need to get another one or i didn’t until i realized how many ads there are and it stops my music every time makes me so mad if they didn’t have as many ads it would get a 4 or 5 stars like get that bag sis but it’s annoying when you have THAT MANY ADS

SudokuJoy has many fun games, which I thoroughly enjoyed playing. BUT, the ads you are forced to watch after every game are not so fun and enjoyable. You are forced to watch what is usually a minimum of a 30 second ad after every game, even if your game only lasts 30 seconds itself. So, if you get SudokuJoy, play these fun games, but be prepared to either twiddle your thumbs or watch the same ad you have already watched 30 times before. If you can handle all the ad delays, and watching ads as much as you play, then this is SudokuJoy for you.

It is very interesting to see how you can spend good time exercising your memory, this is one of the best since you really have to think a lot in the beginning, but as you practice your brain is happy because it is a good exercising.

I like the easy to use features like making each number disappear from the selection bar after it’s been used in all nine grids! I love the current row and columns that intersect highlighted when any number it it is tapped on. Easier on your eyes! Give this one a try!

Very enjoyable game that I play everyday. No issues with the program and has different levels when I want to challenge myself. I highly recommend this game to both seasoned sudoku players as well as those wanting to try and start playing it.

This is a very addictive and well-designed game. I really love it. However, recently that I have passed 200th level at Expert difficulty, the difficulty of the games has drastically decreased. It’s more of a Medium level or even Easy than Expert.
I hope this problem gets fixed soon too. But thank you for this awsome game!

SudokuJoy is great I love everything about it and I love all of the game options it gives you and the one thing I don’t like about the game is that you only have a few numbers to start with and it gets you confused unless you start with the right square

I play this game a lot at night in bed before I go to sleep and there are a couple of super loud ads that pop up despite me having my phone volume turned off!!! PLEASE take these ads off of the game! I’m contemplating taking SudokuJoy off of my phone because of this. It has woken up my spouse a couple of times now. I don’t mind ads here and there but these noisy ones are just obnoxious.

Sudoku is where when your bored you can play like any thing you could ever want to play like sudoku has like some of my most favorite games EVER!!! It’s so fun I don’t even have any idea how to explain it, it’s so fun I probably make anyone more happy and trust me I’m pretty good at making people happy!!..

I have been using SudokuJoy for almost 2 years and I love challenging my brain I loved playing the other games too but now they are gone and I was wondering why? And what happened to them? Now I don’t even wanna use SudokuJoy anymore

I very much dislike this update. The colors are weird and the text it too small for me to read. I would like there to be a way to make the text bigger for my blind self. I really like SudokuJoy and I can deal with some of the update changes but I can’t read anything very well anymore.

The ads are overwhelming. And as others have said too big for any size screen so the buttons to close are out of reach. The games are fine but some could use actual directions on how to play but cut down on the number of ads please. There’s far too many to often and they’re too long

Love SudokuJoy and the functionality, great look and feel and additional games

SudokuJoy keeps the phone on indefinitely. I use Sedona to sleep and every so often I fall asleep and wake up with my phone overheating. Wish it would let phone sleep after 10-15 minutes of idle time :/ that’s why it lost a few stars for me
