Sudoku Daily - Classic Puzzle Reviews

App is fun, love the special puzzles. However the limit of 3 mistakes has been an ongoing issue when trying to complete the larger 16 block puzzles, have been 2.5 hours into two of them and nearly fully solved, mistakes only because “draft” wasn’t clicked when I went to add a number, and after the third mistake it has a pop up that gives you the option to watch a video to keep solving, restart the puzzle or go back (which just restarts the puzzle anyway). You can’t click watch a video to keep solving because every time you do it says no video available try later. I’ve tried to watch a video for 3 days on one puzzle before it just restarted itself. The limit of mistakes is a nice challenge but at this point it’s a waste of time for the larger puzzles that require a lot more time. Either increasing mistakes for those or eliminating them (or making the video option work) would be much better. I’m trying one more if the larger puzzles and if I have the same issue I’ll be removing SudokuDaily and look for another.

Puzzles themselves are fun to solve (normal mode or adventure mode) but if you’re a competitive player and enter the mode “Leagues”, you’ll solve 10 puzzles with a time limit each and each have their own difficulty level. Sounds fun right? Well here is my issue with it. Not only can you get hints but you can spam the hint button to look at an add and basically “solve” the puzzle under a minute. I had wondered why I did horrible compared to others within the time given and then I realized what everyone else was doing. No real, crack your brain and put it to good use, kind of puzzles. An expert level was given a time frame of 8 minutes to get 5 stars and if you take longer, the number of stars you get go down after 5 minutes.
There should have been a penalty mechanism for over using the hint button. A puzzle is for people to use their brain and solve it and get credited for it. Not taking the easy way out and over using ads to get it done quicker than normal.
I’m uninstalling for this reason.

I tried several of the links, like link to privacy policy, and also the website and one more, and they all link to a dead godaddy website. Kinda wondering if SudokuDaily will ever have an update. I’m having a basic problem in app(I can’t start the next season- shows an error message). I like SudokuDaily. It’s my favorite of the sudokus and as far as wasting time, or using some extra time without being bored, SudokuDaily is one of the top three or so I use of this type. Game type apps. So it would be cool if developers came back and maintained it. Right now I see SudokuDaily being taken off SudokuDaily Store though. Can’t get away with dead links for privacy policy and support forever.

SudokuDaily as soon as I start it asks if I want to subscribe or “start off free”. I press the start off free button and I immediately get an email about thank you for subscribing to SudokuDaily and it will automatically renew in. Apparently the trial is only for 3 days and then you gotta Pat 5.99 also in the email it states you have to cancel a full day in advance before the renewal. I checked the email and pressed on the cancel subscription link to no avail ... does not work! I go to their developer website ... all it shows is their “terms and conditions” titled let me out game . Gom ... then I click on their other websites which is their Facebook support page and apparently it has been private for whatever reason.

Save yourself and don’t bother getting SudokuDaily that automatically makes you get a subscription that is more expensive than streaming just to play sudoku!!!

The game itself is pretty good. Difficulty ranges from easy breezy to pull your hair out. So it has something for everybody. And honestly the ads are even on my radar. But what broke the game for me is the constant bouncing of the Hint icon. The human eye is drawn to movement. It is programmed into us at a basic level. Motion can mean food. Or danger. When you are trying to concentrate on a difficult puzzle, a bouncing icon will drive you insane. There’s no ability to turn off the bounce. So, as much as I enjoyed the game, I just can’t take the bounce. There are plenty of other games like this out there. Moving on. If you aren’t bothered by constant movement when you are trying to concentrate then, bless your heart, you might like this game. But the rest of us are probably better served elsewhere.

SudokuDaily has its place above other’s. There are many unique challenges that give you a greater challenge than most sudoku apps.
That being said, like most sudoku apps, it has a 3 mistake limit. It offers a free retry if you opt to view an advertisement. It also seems easy to misclick. However, it has never had a “video available”. I live in America so I struggle to believe that this is a regional thing. On top of that, the ad free version is a monthly subscription and isn’t cheap. (On par with a streaming service). This forces you to reset the board and leads me to believe that the lack of available advertisements is a deliberate money grab. It’s worth a free price tag. Just be warned before you download

Love SudokuDaily, so many choices and streams for playing. In Quest mode however, I have been willing, albeit begrudgingly, to watch the ads (which, it's no mystery get longer and longer and longer the father you get)...I'm not paying so it's fine. But now there are "no videos available" so I'm stuck on a level with a game I can't seem to solve in the alotted time. It said to check back later. That was a week ago. A strategy to get me to subscribe? The subscription rate is insanely expensive for an app--monthly?! I'm willing to pay $10 for an ad-free version but monthly??!!! That's crazy. No thanks.

I’m stuck on Level 2500 on Quest Mode. I’ve solved all the other available puzzles (Special/Adventure/League) .. is level 2500 the last level on Quest mode? It says “your quest continues...” at the too but it won’t load additional levels, or give me stars for completion of the level. I saw another user with this question with no response, Can someone let me know what’s going on? Other than that, it would be nice to be able to select a number to fill in multiple cells instead of tapping the number repeatedly

I have been trying for days to get the season started. I keep getting an error message. I thought it was just me so I deleted the game and re-downloaded it. Now it will not even let me connect to my facebook account to get ALL my progress back (doesn't have option to log in), and it is still giving me an error messages when i try the new season. I love the game, so this is really frustrating. Especially considering how far i was in the adventure part of it. Please fix this and let me restore everything.

I’ve played Sudoku for years and I will say, SudokuDaily is very enjoyable, when you aren’t having to watch the ads. During the Quest mode, there is an ad after almost every single puzzle (and when you finish one in less than 2 mins, it gets old). I would pay to have no ads, but $4.99 A WEEK for a subscription is just way too high of a price for what you get. If it was $4.99 one time cost, that sounds more reasonable. It seems just a bit ridiculous to expect people, especially right now during a pandemic, to pay that per week.

Just upgraded my phone this morning and went to play my game. It works fine for a while and then it starts to lag. I tap a cell and then tap a number - but when I tap another cell, it puts the last selected number there. You can feel the haptic response start to get out of sync with your selections. Used to love this game but won’t be playing it until this gets fixed.

About a week ago, I keep getting an unable to load videos message. I can still play but can’t earn hints. So now I’m stuck in a quest level. Only option is to restart over and over and that’s annoying. This is supposed to be fun. I don’t want to take notes to remember every move again. Let me watch a video and get a hint! Same goes for the other games in SudokuDaily .

This game is really great. Easy game play, plenty of options for Sudoku puzzles, etc. However, there used to be “events” to play every five days or so, and there hasn’t been an available one in at least a couple of months. Also, when you get prompted to watch a video for hints, no videos play anymore. It seems that the game sorely needs an update, and I seem to be among many users frustrated that these issues have been taking so long to fix.

First of all, I play this almost every day. I enjoy SudokuDaily and I have been improving my skills. However I just had a triggering experience watching someone drowning in an add and have no way I have found to report it without installing more apps.

I tried to give feedback on the add and there was no option.

I enjoy doing the daily puzzles and working through the quest. For months I have been unable to get videos to “earn” extras. I recently tried the League play and have enjoyed the challenge, but I have received errors the last several weeks, unable to join the new season. Also fat fingers on my little phone screen often causes errors.
