I tried to take minutes at two meetings yesterday, and when I went to cut and paste something, I lost everything. When I tried undo, nothing happened. If I can't trust MinuteTaker, I can't use it.

I got what I paid for in this one. Not very useful with meetings that have a routine format nor did it allow defining an attendee list that it would pick from for the meetings.
App is okay but needs ability to choose fonts and size.

I hate to have to squint to read. The micro-print used in MinuteTaker is just not working for me.
Can't make font bigger

I really want to like MinuteTaker, but i disregarded another reviewer who said they couldn't see the words very well, and bought MinuteTaker being sure I'd find a way. Not so. You can't even drag or zoom to make word size bigger. Please fix this, developers and then I'll use MinuteTaker.
There appears to be no way to reach Support: no links within MinuteTaker , no links on the website, not even a working FAQ page. Makes me wonder if the developers have abandoned ship. My question at the moment concerns how to move minutes from one workbook to another.
Off to a good start

If you seek a tool to help you quickly and easily create and circulate meeting agendas, this software will fill the bill. Creating agenda items is easy. So is reorganizing these agenda items, adding attachments and due dates to them, and noting the responsible individuals. Agendas look crisp and professional and can be emailed, saved to DropBox, or printed.
A few interface choices could be improved upon.
One must "edit" an agenda (different from editing an agenda item) before the option to export a full meeting agenda becomes visible.
Attendee lists are specific to each meeting. One can't yet build a library of attendee lists for use with multiple meetings involving the same or substantially the same people, which means repetitive keyboarding.
Meeting agendas are not templates; they are specific to each meeting and are dated accordingly. This makes it more difficult than I wish it was to quickly generate separate agendas for meetings that have many but not all of the same standing agenda items. Likewise, agenda items cannot be moved from one meeting agenda to another, making it more difficult than I'd like in this version to follow up on past items in recurring meetings.
Not bad

Would be at least one star better if it had the ability to add tabs, bullet points, and other outline type formatting. A lite version to test before buying would also have been nice and would have earned another star in my opinion.
Very useful

Please add export to Evernote w/ the ability to edit minutes after export.
I've been needing an app like this for a long time. I've created something similar using Pages, but MinuteTaker is much cleaner and easier to use. First off, I like how you can keep minutes from different meetings under one project notebook. So if you're planning an event, all the minutes for that planning can go under one notebook, and thus it's easy to locate and review them in the next meeting.
Secondly, MinuteTaker enables you to tag each item of the agenda. I've created several tags for discussion items, brainstorming, action to-do, Next meeting item, etc. You can group and review items using tags.
I especially like how you can assign more than one person to an action item. The above product description gives the impression that you can assign only on person to an item, but in fact you can assign multiple people. Note, it's easier to have all your attendees in your Address Book so you can locate and add them quickly.
And finally, the export feature is great. Minutes can be exported in pdf format, and it really makes you minutes look professional, without all the required work of a basic text editor. It would be good though if minutes could also be exported in Word or plain text for additional editing.
MinuteTaker should have more ratings. It would also work even better as a OS X application. There doesn't seem to be one like it for the Mac.
I also suggest that developer produce a video tutorial for MinuteTaker . The demo video on the website is a good start, but some users may benefit from a verbal walk through of MinuteTaker .
Good :)

It will be more interesting if it has a PIN protection as an option.
I hardly ever write a review, but I just had to for MinuteTaker. I've only had it one day and it is one of my most used apps already. Great format! Fantastic work developers.
Great App!

At least try MinuteTaker at your next project meeting.
I attend several meetings per week related to many different projects. My problem is that in every meeting I end up with tasks for me or another to do. Where MinuteTaker is different from Notability, my go-to note-taking app, is the in-app task email function. In a meeting you can create a new "minute" or note, make it an action item, assign a responsible person and deadline and email out instantly from MinuteTaker . An indicator appears as an open circle for in progress, green for done or red for overdue. You can also email or DropBox your notes. Or add something to your calendar.
I took off a star because I have trouble with naming. The default workbook name is the name of the first minute which can be confusing if the title of the first minute is something like Old Business. However you can rename the workbook if you relax and don't panic. Also the instructions were a little hard to understand at first because they described gestures that were unfamiliar to me. Much better than mine would be if I wrote them in German, though. It does not record voice like Notability. Once I got used to the interface I was fine.
Thanks for a great app. Can't wait to see other features that might be added. I have some ideas....

MinuteTaker has great features. It is crisp and easy to use. It's become one of my favorites!
I usually don't give reviews on app, but this one is great! I use it for ALL my meetings (church, work, business, class and personal). My only request would be the formatting such as indents, bullets & numbering library.
Great app, but would be more useful as a Mac osx app

This is a very well written, professional app. Great how you can add action assignees, send the minutes by email as a .pdf etc. Nice how you can attach files from the iPad or Dropbox.
Others have noted a lack of formatting for bullets, bold text etc. Yes that would be very nice, and I certainly hope that's coming in a future update, but for me that's not worth a whole star, so personally I'm happy to give this a five star rating. Well done.

Was not looking for an app that was really great just one that worked well.... MinuteTaker is really great...it ties to contacts and mail and calendar and I love it been recommending it since.....
Nothing is perfect, I would wish for a connection to google drive as I do not have good luck with Dropbox and I wish there was an undo button and a redo button because I have accidentally deleted something I had to re-enter....oooops my bad......
Great for meetings.

I have been using this with my meetings and it has been a great tool. It helps you keep your meeting notes organized, you can add attachments and share with other as PDF or JPG. I believe it has all the basic features you might need and a little more.
The only feature it does not have yet is a way to setup a template for recurring meetings or a way to copy/duplicate an existing meeting/minute. This would be gold if it were added.
I've been looking for an app like this for a long time. The fluid mixture of note taking and task management is perfect for when I'm at meetings, getting a mixture of information that isn't really actionable, and things I need to follow up on.
The one thing I think MinuteTaker needs is the ability to sync with Evernote, which is where the rest of my notes end up. Other than that though, I can't think of a single thing that would make MinuteTaker better. Well done!

this app is absolutely amazing! The UI is amazing, and accurate, and I must say that their move to support the iPad Pro was right on time.
I would strongly recommend MinuteTaker to anyone who is a business professional or student. I've used it under both context and it has helped me in more ways than I can spell out in this review.
Also, I think that it is important to note that the company is fast to respond to any questions, and more importantly, they have continued their updates since 2012!
