I love the app, just one fatal flaw…

I really do love MusicTutorPlus. I’ve been super lazy about reading, because it’s hard to learn how to walk when you already know how to run. MusicTutorPlus makes it a little more fun…

For me there is just one big issue. I really, really wish that reading off the grand staff was an option. MusicTutorPlus is awesome for learning how to read the individual Clefs, but many of us need to be able to read from the grand staff, and it would be a whole lot easier to just do it all at once instead of compartmentalizing. It could be just the way my brain works, but it would be super helpful to have that option.

One more note: I would love to be able to practice reading time in MusicTutorPlus as well. I know it would be a lot of work to implement. It would be like writing another app, but I would really love that option as well.

Nice layout, but doesn’t show me wrong answers

I like the layout of MusicTutorPlus. It’s very simple, easy to adjust the settings, and has all of the options I need. The one thing I would change about MusicTutorPlus is that it doesn’t show the correct answer when I get one wrong. If I put that a not is C# when it was actually D#, it just moves on to the next one instead of telling me that it was D#. It doesn’t do me much good if I don’t know the right answer.

Almost Perfect

I'm glad MusicTutorPlus has a better icon that i can stand to look at.

Though, there needs to be landscape orientation support for the notes reference. So the references can be viewed in landscape. It's hard to view it smushed in a protrait view.

Other then that MusicTutorPlus has improve much over the years. I use Note Trainer as well but is nice to have a simple and quick app like this handy.

Great, until the notes stopped sounding...

3rd time using MusicTutorPlus and the notes no longer sound. There also needs to be a way to make it so it doesn't just quickly switch to the next note after you press a key. This seems like a good start but definitely needs so work to be better.

Sound of note preview

**No sound when note is selected
Is this version free for Christmas Day? I downloaded it, and encountered the problem at the title. Also, why are the scores kept separate from the free and paid versions?**

Took me a while to get used to MusicTutorPlus , but it’s really great learning tool.

Enjoying the app

I haven’t used MusicTutorPlus a ton yet but it is definitely helping hone my listening skills. However, it sounds like an out of tune piano! 😬 Boo! It’s not quite bad enough that it affects correctly identifying the intervals but it would be great if the developers would up their game and give us in tune intervals to identify.

Good, but there are better apps out there

I used MusicTutorPlus to train myself to quickly recognize notes on the staff. It was useful but it has its limitation, like not being able to train yourself to look ahead. After searching around, I now prefer Note Trainer and don’t use MusicTutorPlus anymore

Great - please add chords!

I’ve been so surprised at how smooth MusicTutorPlus runs and how quickly I’ve been getting better at sight reading. The piano mode is well worth the price. I only wish the developer would add chords!

Like the flexibility

MusicTutorPlus is simple and straightforward but you also have the option to select what specific clefs and note ranges it will quiz you on.

Good tutor

Have enjoyed using your app. This is the first time I heard about and it is really helping me to learn how to read music for the first time. I have told several people about it.

Wow,great app

To everyone who reads this,
This is a great app for learning to read notes! I started yesterday and I am already at 3390! Great app! Helps very quickly! I definitely recommend it! Great for younger and older people!

Exactly what I wanted

Love MusicTutorPlus. Wish it used screen space a bit better on iPad, though. Maybe a landscape mode with 2 or 3 octave keyboard, for example.

Also, a reverse mode where you have to place notes on a staff would be cool.

Nice pocket training app!

It’s exactly what I was looking for, a no nonsense app for practicing note recognition. The games are just what I need and I’m getting a bit better. I haven’t been using it long but I’ve been pulling it out daily and I notice the difference! Thanks.

Highly recommend it to improve your site reading

I've been using it for a while and and had approved my site reading. Use it 5 minutes a (twice a) day you'll see a great results. Love it!!

Love working and learning notes

Really love hanging out and I have so much fun leaning the notes. I have little challenges with fam trying to see who knows the most and it is just great. Really is great FR the brain and I love it.
Download it Now and u will have an AMAZING TIME playing it!

Fantastic App, Fantastic Support!

This is a great little app for sight reading training, the ultimate flash cards for music! I was using this with students using a USB keyboards and ran into a glitch with one brand of keyboard. I wrote the developer through MusicTutorPlus thinking I’d never hear back. One day later, I received an email asking me to try the new version.
It works PERFECTLY!! Thank you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really great!

I’ve been playing guitar for 15 years never having learned to read music. Recently I decided I wanted to be better so I started taking lessons and my instructor recommended Music Tutor and it has really helped. Plus it’s really fun to watch my average response time tick down as my score goes up over time.

Best Note learning App PERIOD!

Any time I have a minute free I go to MusicTutorPlus. It has helped me more than anything else with my sight reading in both clefs. The scoring feature makes it like a game and I’m always striving to get a better score based on time and accuracy. It doesn’t feel like studying but you are in the best way!!!
I absolutely love it and recommend it to anyone struggling to sight read!

Great for training!

I really enjoy the option of choosing between notes and the piano keys. I find so much benefit from spending 10 minutes of my hour piano lesson practicing with MusicTutorPlus!

5/5 for sure!

p.s. To the developers, I would love to see an adjustable sizing option for the piano keys on the iPad. I enjoy being able to practice clicking the piano with the fingers as I would in the key of C for practicing!

This is super fun

I’m joining the honor band and I couldn’t read notes and now I can this helped me a lot to improve my reading notes. Do this or else I’m coming for you!!!!
