Be Best

I imagine it’s not really that hard to differentiate between Tiafoe’s darker brown skin tone and the lighter complexion of Felix. However, in this game, (because both are considered to be “black” I’m assuming?) they have the exact same skin tone (very dark brown) and they both wear the same clothing so it’s almost impossible to tell them apart. Don’t really want to speculate on the intent behind that so I’ll just say it came across to me as a very lazy effort by the developers of this game, especially since other players were given more distinct features to set them apart (various hair colors, clothing, face structures, hair styles, etc). It’s 2023, do better… 😑🙄👎🏼

Stupid

This game is so rigged! You can’t get any better because you have to pay a ton of money for a decent racket, and in order to unlock a player who’s actually skilled, you have to beat them first. But that of course won’t happen because the opponents move like lightening and NEVER get tired. You can hit to the sidelines back and forth over and over again and the opponent will somehow get to all of them. On top of that, your player keeps going to the net during every point which you have no control over. Then the opponent will hit a deep ball that you can’t physically get to and boom. That’s the end of basically every point. Don’t get StickTennis , and more importantly don’t waste your money on stupid upgrades, there’s already enough ads on the thing to satisfy these money hungry developers. Bye now.

MONEY SCAM! $$$$$

The game is USELESS unless you want to keep pumping lots of money into it to even compete! Impossible to gain any advantage over opponent or a have any strategy of any kind that works. Opponents NEVER tire, miss, hit very few unforced errors, double fault, etc, but you will find yourself hitting them at the most inopportune times no matter how good your timing is! Perfectly timed shots will go into the net or awry in order to trick you into eventually paying more money for new equipment. Big time scam. Just an awful game all around! STAY AWAY!

Good but not so good

The good - the game is fun to play and active, you don’t have to buy anything to upgrade the player like other tennis games.

Not so good - where to start, first forget about aiming. Doesn’t work. Drop shots set up the computer to win the point most of the time. No control over players movements. Player will automatically charge the net when you don’t want them to for no reason and no control to pull them back. Can loft balls, put spin on shots nor can you over head slam.

Think of the classic game “pong” and put it on a tennis court.

You’ll get frustrated because you’ll see the next shot and where to put it, but the ball hardly ever goes the direction you want.

Needs a LOT of improvement

I think this tennis app is better than most others out there and has me hooked, but not sure how much longer.
The gameplay is so frustrating. You can’t choose where your player moves and often forces you to not be able to hit a shot. Your player will serve and volley 90% of the time which then hinders everything else during point play.
You can’t hit smashes. You can’t control how you play at the net. The algorithm says it’s all based on timing, but even when you hit a perfectly timed ball (per the early/late bar) that should be a put away the opponent hits a winner and your player is still standing in the same spot.
Fun, and addicting, but is already getting old because you physically cannot advance your player unless you spend money.

Fun... but tries to rip you off in seconds!!!

It’s really a fun game once you get the hang of it, but the only think I don’t like is that fact that the game tries to get you to start spending money right out the gate to buy better tennis racket, I spent $0.99 so far which is fine, but as soon as you do, in like a game you are being ask to spend again😡... really?!

So the catch is if you don’t spend money you can’t progress in the game because it get more and more difficult, so I feel like you are just playing the game to spend MONEY, it takes the fun out of it.

Pretty Good but should make some easy fixes

I really enjoy this game but somethings you should fix is the CPU never servering first in a game it just makes it unrealistic. Also you should be able to see the trophies you won. Lastly, the energy is very annoying after each game you have to wait 120 mins and the ads 75% or the time don’t even give you the rewards. You should either eliminate the energy completely or lengthen it.

Fun but biased

I enjoy playing this game but I’m so irritated by the grand slams! The one-setters are really too short. Also, the game characters are so distant from reality. The almost unbeatable Andy Murray shows a huge developer bias, especially when you try playing him on clay. Playing against Federer on grass on the other hand, which I thought would be a challenge was almost pitiable. I wish the developers would make the players more realistic and leave their personal bias out of the game.

Great Game, minimal choices

I’ve played this game off and on for a few years now. I’ve always really enjoyed it, it has smooth and simple gameplay, and you don’t need to pay to win. My only complaints are 1) lack of difficulty/competitiveness from the CPU, especially once you unlock better players in the slams (I get it, better player=better stats but I shouldn’t be 6-0ing everyone imo) and 2) no ability to change settings whatsoever. No difficulty sliders, no match length changes, etc. I remember it used to be the slams had the full best of 3 or 5 matches, I had some thrilling games back then. I understand it was a bit of a time sink, especially in those competitive games, but I figured a save system would be added mid game. Instead we have… one set matches and no ability to choose match length. Understandable, but still a disappointing solution.

TLDR: excellent mobile tennis game that leaves a lot to be desired in adjustments that you’re allowed to make to your gameplay.

Mentally Stimulating Game

Game consist of the great players and progress according to the players ranking. One proceeds when a ranked player is dominated. This inability to progress until a ranked player is dominated makes the game ranked amongst the top games. One complaint, is that ads can take over the game. Game program should be reviewed and ensure that ads do not take over games ......

Fun game, great game play, ace is wayyyy to hard, stats wrong sometimes

The game is really fun, it takes a while to get used to the timing which controls when your shots actually go in, although I do wonder about the net courts which don't seem to follow this rule. I also just finished a match I won 6-0 and it said I had only converted 3/4 break opportunities which is obviously not correct or my opponent would have won a game.

The daily matches are by far the most fun. I also find the men's serves really hard to get the timing of because they are so fast -- maybe too fast.

As the opponents get harder it seems you lose more on technicalities, for instance let courts. I notice they rarely benefit me. Secondly, the better opponents can often put away a good serve down the T. I don't know of any pros who can claim that ability. Also, at times you will hit what you feel is a great shot and they will just put up it away like its nothing. This seems a bit unrealistic but overall I love the game. The problem with the stats is you are summing all games, not just the ones I was receiving. Please fix this as it has been wrong for a while,

My only other lament is the fact that your games aren't saved.

Downloaded and thought I’d play some more. It doesn’t save your games properly. It says it does but when you return it’s gone. Secondly purchase restoration seems to have some flaws. I recall I used to be able to play everyone in domination, but now i’m limited to a few.

Good but doesn’t save tournament because of ads

This is a good game but sometimes in the opens you finish a match and an ad comes up but it doesn’t load so you have to exit StickTennis and lose all your progress in the tournament. I hope they fix this.

Love this game but.

I really like this game all of the different characters you can play as and it’s really fun! But I really wish there was a feature where you can challenge the ball because I’ve noticed that sometimes the ball hit the line or it looks like it’s in and it’s called out, other than that I like the game!

Great Game, but...

Despite the reviews to the contrary, the game play does make sense - I was able to win all the masters tournaments with the mid level racquet (OK I did break down and buy the 5.99 model). But it’s enjoyable overall and a great time killer.

Two issues I have with the game:

1. There’s no acknowledgement on the main menus that you’ve won/completed masters tournaments. A very minor thing but annoying to me.

2. The Daily Challenge: what’s the point of taking the challenge when there’s no prize? How about “coins” you can use towards purchasing one of those high-end racquets after completing a week’s worth? Just a waste of time otherwise.

I love it

I have had this game for years. I’m currently on my third phone that I have downloaded this game on. It doesn’t take long to beat them all so I take breaks for awhile and then come back again a few months later. It’s fun.

Phone screen turns off in the middle of game

Love the difficulty level of the games and seems fair. But, the phone screen turns off randomly in the middle of the game. When I click on my screen and hit resume, the game resumes. Hopefully there is a fix to this.

Very fun

This game is great. I just don’t like how I cannot upgrade my racket/player by winning, only through $.

UPDATE:

I honestly love this game. Instead of upgrading a player as I was crying about before, it’s your own skills that upgrades. And unlocking other players helps too.

Freezes on loading screen (update)

Love the game- it's very addictive, but it now freezes on the load screen every time I play a match. Please fix with a patch or update and I'll change my review! I don't want to have to redownload and lose all my progress.

Their recent update has fixed this glitch, thanks!

Love it!

This game is sick, it’s the most realistic tennis game I’ve played. You can change ur speed and direction in so many different ways. And I love how each new player you play is a different challenge than the previous. Yeah it’s hard and challenging but so is actually playing tennis. All I’d like to see are some more challenges and better point system.

Lovin’ it

I use to HATE this game but then I played it a bit longer and I am obsessed with StickTennis and when you update it you get new tennis players from THIS year it is awesome!
