I just bought the paid version of this offline Eng.- to- Spanish translator app. As we are planning to travel to Spain, I thought this would be very handy to have.
It has a major flaw: it launches OK, but when I touch the mic icon to speak a phrase, OfflineTranslatorSpanishPro brings up my photos instead and will not allow me to access the speaking function.
This difficulty occurs with my iPad 2 as well as with my iPhone 6. I am running the latest up-to-date iOS system software versions on each.
I have also tried turning off both my photos and camera options in the privacy settings, t see if that would help, but to no avail. When I touch the mic icon within OfflineTranslatorSpanishPro , it always just launches my photos instead. This occurs on both the unpaid and paid versions.
I have requested support from Apple and from the developer and have heard nothing back.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Many features are accessible offline, which makes this very handy when traveling in foreign countries. Some translations are nonsensical, of course, and many menu items will not be translatable or "de-coded". I have the Spanish/English version

Use it daily. Express in English, translate to Spanish, copy, paste and text or email to recipient. Receive response, copy in Spanish then paste in translator and convert back to English. And so on and so on. It’s quick and easy. Effective translator tool
