This is my favorite local weather app. But the past couple of months, practically every time I open it, it immediately crashes. I have removed and reinstalled it twice with no improvement.

I really like Mesonet but this latest release won’t work. It launches and then dies after 2 to 3 seconds. I am using it on an iPhone 8 on iOS 11.3.

Lately Mesonet will not open on my iPhone. I am running the latest iOS. I tap on Mesonet and I briefly get the opening screen then it goes away. Other than that it’s a great app, when it opens.

I want to start by saying what a great app this is... coded and built very well. Runs smooth and without any problems. I have finally found a weather app that is both free and AD FREE. Amazing.
I just have a few minor gripes that actually don't detract from Mesonet at all... The radar is good, but the interface could use a little sprucing up, as well as the low-res "play" button.... it needs to get the retina display treatment so it can look better on newer devices. The only other thing that I would like to see change is the actual app name under the icon. Instead of "MesonetApp", it should just say "this app" - that would look a lot more professional on the homescreen.
It would also be nice if you could receive push notifications about significant weather in the area... that would be awesome.

From the world class Oklahoma this app comes an amazing iPhone app! A very user-friendly interface that allows you to access a plethora of meteorological data, for a single location on your home page (easily changed by tapping i) or for the entire network by looking at the maps. Also offered are local and national maps for any watches, warnings, or advisories issued by the National Weather Service, and the always funny and informative this app tickers from Associate State Climatologist Gary McManus. A must have if you live in Oklahoma...or if you are a meteorologist anywhere.

My thanks to the development team for this significantly improved app. For years, I have used previous versions of Mesonet and was impressed with its speed in providing lots of data on Oklahoma weather. However, I also relied on other commercial weather apps that had such features as radar loops. Those other apps take a long time to load as they are burdened with ads. With this updated app, I now can rely on it solely, as it has all of the features I need. I especially appreciate the quick access to the metograms. Lots of good data for us weather nerds!

The Oklahoma this app is extremely unique and amazing! The breadth of weather data covered and available to Oklahomans (and non-Oklahomans), for free (basically) is probably not matched anywhere on the internet. And I have tried to find an equal to it. Lol
Also, the Tickers are some of the best weekly weather data summaries/comedies that could be written or read. Check them out as well as all the weather data that is recorded and reported.

I have always liked and used Mesonet, but after updating a few weeks ago to the most recent update, Mesonet crashes when trying to access the Maps page. Tried sending email to developer before doing this review, but no response.

***Update***
Developer contacted me and advised the fix is to delete Mesonet and reinstall it. That worked and Mesonet is working properly now. Changed rating. This is a 5 star app when working correctly.
