App crashes every time it’s opened

This is my favorite local weather app. But the past couple of months, practically every time I open it, it immediately crashes. I have removed and reinstalled it twice with no improvement.
Worked well in the past

I really like this app but this latest release won’t work. It launches and then dies after 2 to 3 seconds. I am using it on an iPhone 8 on iOS 11.3.
App not opening

Lately the app will not open on my iPhone. I am running the latest iOS. I tap on the app and I briefly get the opening screen then it goes away. Other than that it’s a great app, when it opens.
